¹A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Ešte jednu ranu uvediem na faraona a na Egypt, a potom vás prepustí odtiaľto. A nie len že vás cele prepustí, ale vás ešte i poženie odtiaľto.

¹And Jehovah said to Moses, Yet one plague will I bring upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let [you] go altogether, he shall utterly drive you out hence.

²Nože hovor v uši ľudu, aby si vyžiadali každý od svojho blížneho a každá od svojej blížnej strieborné klenoty a zlaté klenoty.

²Speak now in the ears of the people, that they ask every man of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, utensils of silver and utensils of gold.

³A Hospodin dal ľudu milosť v očiach Egypťanov. I sám muž Mojžiš bol veľmi veliký v Egyptskej zemi, v očiach služobníkov faraonových i v očiach ľudu.

³And Jehovah gave the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt -- in the eyes of Pharaoh's bondmen, and in the eyes of the people.

⁴A Mojžiš riekol: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Okolo polnoci vyjdem a prejdem stredom Egypta.

⁴And Moses said, Thus saith Jehovah: About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt.

⁵A zomrie všetko prvorodené v Egyptskej zemi, od prvorodeného faraonovho, ktorý mal sedieť na jeho tróne, až do prvorodeného dievky, ktorá sedí za žernovom, i všetko prvorodené z hoviad.

⁵And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sitteth on his throne, even unto the firstborn of the bondwoman that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of cattle.

⁶A bude veľký krik po celej zemi Egyptskej, akého ešte nebolo, a jakého ani viacej nebude.

⁶And there shall be a great cry throughout the land of Egypt, such as there hath been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

⁷Ale nikomu zo synov Izraelových ani len pes nevrkne, a tak bude všetkému od človeka až do hoväda, aby ste vedeli, že Hospodin učinil rozdiel medzi Egypťanmi a medzi Izraelom.

⁷But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know that Jehovah distinguisheth between the Egyptians and Israel.

⁸Vtedy sostúpia všetci títo tvoji služobníci ku mne a budú sa mi klaňať a povedia: Vyjdi ty i všetok ľud, ktorý je pod tvojou správou. Potom vyjdem. A vyšiel od faraona, rozpálený hnevom.

⁸And all these thy bondmen shall come down unto me, and bow down to me, saying, Go out, thou, and all the people that follow thee; and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a glowing anger.

⁹A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Neposlúchne vás faraon, a to preto, aby som rozmnožil svoje zázraky v Egyptskej zemi.

⁹And Jehovah had said to Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

¹⁰A Mojžiš a Áron činili všetky tieto zázraky pred faraonom. Ale Hospodin zatvrdil srdce faraonovo, takže neprepustil synov Izraelových zo svojej zeme.

¹⁰And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; but Jehovah made Pharaoh's heart stubborn, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
