1A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2Hovor synom Izraelovým a povieš im: Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God.
3Podľa skutkov Egyptskej zeme, v ktorej ste bývali, nebudete robiť ani podľa skutkov Kanaánskej zeme, do ktorej vás vovediem, nebudete robiť ani nebudete chodiť v ich ustanoveniach.
3After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their customs.
4Moje súdy budete činiť a budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia, aby ste v nich chodili. Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.
4Mine ordinances shall ye do and my statutes shall ye observe to walk therein: I am Jehovah your God.
5A tedy budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia a moje súdy, ktoré, keď bude činiť človek, bude nimi žiť. Ja som Hospodin.
5And ye shall observe my statutes and my judgments, by which the man that doeth them shall live: I am Jehovah.
6Nikto z vás sa nepriblíži k niktorému svojmu pokrevnému nato, aby odkryl jeho nahotu. Ja som Hospodin.
6No one shall approach to any that is his near relation, to uncover his nakedness: I am Jehovah.
7Neodkryješ nahoty svojho otca ani nahoty svojej matere; je to tvoja mater, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
7The nakedness of thy father, and the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8Neodkryješ nahoty ženy svojho otca; je to nahota tvojho otca.
8The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
9Neodkryješ nahoty svojej sestry, dcéry svojeho otca alebo dcéry svojej matere, už či by bola narodená v dome alebo či by bola narodená inde; neodkryješ ich nahoty.
9The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home, or born abroad -- their nakedness shalt thou not uncover.
10Neodkryješ nahoty svojej vnučky, dcéry svojeho syna alebo dcéry svojej dcéry, lebo sú tvojou nahotou.
10The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter -- their nakedness shalt thou not uncover; for theirs is thy nakedness.
11Neodkryješ nahoty dcéry ženy svojeho otca, ktorá je splodená od tvojho otca; je tvoje sestra, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
11The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father: she is thy sister: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12Neodkryješ nahoty svojej tetky, sestry svojeho otca; je pokrevná tvojho otca.
12The nakedness of thy father's sister shalt thou not uncover: she is thy father's near relation.
13Neodkryješ nahoty svojej tetky, sestry svojej matky, lebo je pokrevná tvojej matky.
13The nakedness of thy mother's sister shalt thou not uncover; for she is thy mother's near relation.
14Neodkryješ nahoty svojho strýca, brata svojeho otca, ani sa nepriblížiš k jeho žene; je tvoja stryná.
14The nakedness of thy father's brother shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not approach his wife: she is thine aunt.
15Neodkryješ nahoty svojej nevesty; je žena tvojho syna, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
15The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law shalt thou not uncover: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16Neodkryješ nahoty svojej švagrinej, ženy svojho brata; je nahotou tvojho brata.
16The nakedness of thy brother's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy brother's nakedness.
17Neodkryješ nahoty ženy a jej dcéry. Nevezmeš si dcéry jej syna ani dcéry jej dcéry, aby si odkryl jej nahotu; pokrevné sú; to je mrzká vec.
17The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, nor her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness: they are her near relations: it is wickedness.
18A nevezmeš si ženy ku jej sestre, aby si ju sužoval odkrývajúc jej nahotu popri nej za jej života.
18And thou shalt not take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness beside her, during her life.
19A k žene, keď je v odlúčenosti svojej nečistoty, sa nepriblížiš, aby si odkryl jej nahotu.
19And thou shalt not approach a woman in the separation of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness.
20A so ženou svojho blížneho nebudeš obcovať v súloži, aby si sa ňou zanečistil.
20And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to become unclean with her.
21A nedáš, aby niekto z tvojho semena bol prevedený cez oheň Molochovi, a nepoškvrníš mena svojho Boha. Ja som Hospodin.
21And thou shalt not give of thy seed to let them pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.
22Nebudeš ležať s mužským pohlavím, ako sa líha so ženou; to je ohavnosť.
22And thou shalt not lie with mankind as one lieth with a woman: it is an abomination.
23Ani nebudeš obcovať v súloži s niktorým hovädom, aby si sa ním zanečistil, ako ani žena sa nepostaví na súlož pred hovädo; to je ohavná premrštenosť.
23And thou shalt lie with no beast to become unclean therewith; and a woman shall not stand before a beast to lie down with it: it is confusion.
24Nezanečistite sa niktorou z tých vecí, lebo všetkými tými vecami zanečisťovali sa pohania, ktorých vyženiem zpred vašej tvári.
24Make not yourselves unclean in any of these things; for in all these have the nations which I am casting out before you made themselves unclean.
25Lebo sa zanečistila zem, a preto navštívim jej neprávosť na nej, a zem vyvráti svojich obyvateľov.
25And the land hath become unclean; and I visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants.
26Ale vy budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia a moje súdy a nevykonáte niktorej z tých ohavností ani zrodený doma ani pohostín, ktorý pohostíni medzi vami.
26But *ye* shall observe my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of all these abominations: the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you;
27Lebo všetky tie ohavnosti robia ľudia zeme, ktorí sú pred vami, a zanečistená je zem.
27(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath been made unclean);
28Aby aj vás nevyvrátila zem preto, že by ste ju zanečistili, tak ako vyvráti národ, ktorý je pred vami.
28that the land vomit you not out, when ye make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
29Lebo každý, kto by urobil niektorú z tých ohavností, duše, ktoré by to urobily, budú vyťaté zprostred svojho ľudu.
29For whoever committeth any of these abominations, ... the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30A preto budete ostríhať moje nariadenie, aby ste neurobili niktorého z tých ohavných ustanovení, ktoré sa robily pred vami, a nezanečistíte sa nimi. Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.
30And ye shall observe my charge, that ye commit not [any] of the abominable customs which were committed before you; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean therein: I am Jehovah your God.
