¹A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

²Povieš synom Izraelovým: Ktokoľvek zo synov Izraelových ako i z pohostínov, kto pohostíni v Izraelovi, kto by dal zo svojho semena Molochovi, istotne zomrie, ľud zeme ho ukameňuje.

²Thou shalt say also to the children of Israel, Every one of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech, shall certainly be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

³A ja obrátim svoju tvár proti tomu človekovi a vytnem ho zprostred jeho ľudu, pretože dal zo svojho semena Molochovi, aby zanečistil moju svätyňu a aby poškvrnil meno mojej svätosti.

³And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, so as to make my sanctuary unclean, and to profane my holy name.

⁴A keby nechcúc vidieť zavreli ľudia zeme svoje oči a odvrátili ich od toho človeka, keďby dal zo svojho semena Molochovi, a nezabili by ho,

⁴And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, that they kill him not,

⁵vtedy ja postavím svoju tvár proti tomu človekovi i proti jeho čeľadi a vytnem ho i všetkých tých, ktorí smilnili idúc za ním, ktorí smilniac pošli za Molochom, z prostredku ich ľudu.

⁵then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

⁶A čo do duše, ktorá by sa obrátila k veštcom, vyvolávajúcim duchov, alebo k vedomcom, aby smilnila idúc za nimi, obrátim svoju tvár proti tej duši a vytnem takého človeka zprostred jeho ľudu.

⁶-- And the soul that turneth unto necromancers and unto soothsayers, to go a whoring after them, I will set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

⁷Preto sa posväťte a budete svätí, lebo ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.

⁷Hallow yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Jehovah your God.

⁸A budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia a budete ich činiť. Ja som Hospodin, ktorý vás posväcujem.

⁸And ye shall observe my statutes, and do them: I am Jehovah who hallow you.

⁹Lebo ktokoľvek by zlorečil svojmu otcovi alebo svojej materi, istotne zomrie; zlorečil svojmu otcovi a svojej materi; jeho krv bude na ňom.

⁹Whatever man revileth his father and his mother shall certainly be put to death: he hath reviled his father and his mother; his blood is upon him.

¹⁰A človek, ktorý by sa dopustil cudzoložstva s niečou ženou, ktorý by zcudzoložil so ženou svojho blížneho, istotne zomrie i cudzoložník i cudzoložnica.

¹⁰And a man that committeth adultery with a man's wife, who committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, -- the adulterer and the adulteress shall certainly be put to death.

¹¹A človek, ktorý by ležal so ženou svojho otca, odkryl nahotu svojho otca, istotne zomrú obidvaja; ich krv bude na nich.

¹¹And a man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall certainly be put to death; their blood is upon them.

¹²A človek, ktorý by ležal so svojou nevestou, istotne zomrú obidvaja, urobili premrštenosť; ich krv bude na nich.

¹²And if a man lie with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall certainly be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood is upon them.

¹³A človek, ktorý by ležal s mužským pohlavím, tak ako sa líha so ženou, obidvaja spáchali ohavnosť, istotne zomrú; ich krv bude na nich.

¹³And if a man lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall certainly be put to death; their blood is upon them.

¹⁴A človek, ktorý by si vzal ženu i jej matku, to je mrzká vec, spália ho ohňom aj tie ženy, aby nebolo mrzkosti medzi vami.

¹⁴And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is infamy: they shall burn him and them with fire, that there be no infamy among you.

¹⁵A človek, ktorý by v súloži obcoval s hovädom, istotne zomrie, a hovädo zabijete.

¹⁵And if a man lie with a beast for copulation, he shall certainly be put to death; and ye shall kill the beast.

¹⁶A žena, ktorá by sa priblížila k nejakému hovädu, aby s ním obcovala v súloži, zabiješ takú ženu i to hovädo, istotne zomrú; ich krv bude na nich.

¹⁶And if a woman approach unto any beast to gender therewith, thou shalt kill the woman and the beast: they shall certainly be put to death; their blood is upon them.

¹⁷Človek, ktorý by si vzal svoju sestru, dcéru svojeho otca alebo dcéru svojej matere, a videl by jej nahotu, a ona by tiež videla jeho nahotu; to je šeredná vec. Preto budú zahladení pred očami synov svojho ľudu; odkryl nahotu svojej sestry; ponesie svoju neprávosť.

¹⁷And if a man take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness, that is a disgrace; and they shall be cut off before the eyes of the children of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁸A človek, ktorý by ležal so ženou, ktorá má svoju nemoc, a odkryl by jej nahotu a obnažil by jej prameň, a ona by tiež odkryla prameň svojej krvi, obidvaja budú vyťatí zprostred svojho ľudu.

¹⁸And if a man shall lie with a woman in her infirmity, and uncover her nakedness, her flux doth he lay bare, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood; and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

¹⁹Ani neodkryješ nahoty sestry svojej matere ani sestry svojho otca, lebo taký človek by obnažil svoju pokrevnú; niesli by svoju neprávosť.

¹⁹And the nakedness of thy mother's sister, and of thy father's sister shalt thou not uncover; for he hath laid naked his near relation: they shall bear their iniquity.

²⁰Človek, ktorý by ležal so svojou strynou alebo tetkou, odkryl nahotu svojho strýca alebo ujca; ponesú svoj hriech; zomrú bez detí.

²⁰And if a man lie with his aunt, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: their sin shall they bear: they shall die childless.

²¹A človek, ktorý by si vzal ženu svojho brata, to je necudnosť; odkryl nahotu svojho brata; budú bez detí.

²¹And if a man take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness: they shall be childless.

²²A tedy budete ostríhať všetky moje ustanovenia a všetky moje súdy a budete ich činiť, aby vás nevyvrátila zem, do ktorej vás vediem, aby ste bývali v nej.

²²And ye shall observe all my statutes, and all mine ordinances, and do them, that the land whither I bring you to dwell therein vomit you not out.

²³A nebudete chodiť v ustanoveniach národa, ktorý ja vyženiem zpred vašej tvári, lebo robia všetko to zlé, a preto sa mi zošklivili.

²³And ye shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for all these things have they done, and they became an abomination to me.

²⁴A vám som povedal: Vy zdedíte ich zem, a ja ju dám vám, aby ste ju mali dedične, zem, ktorá oplýva mliekom a medom. Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh, ktorý som vás oddelil od iných národov.

²⁴And I have said unto you, Ye shall possess their land, and I will give it unto you for a possession; a land flowing with milk and honey: I am Jehovah your God, who have separated you from the peoples.

²⁵Preto budete robiť rozdiel medzi čistým hovädom a nečistým a medzi nečistým vtákom a čistým a nebudete zošklivovať svojich duší hovädom ani vtákom ani ničím, čo sa plazí po zemi, ktoré som vám oddelil, aby ste ich mali za nečisté.

²⁵And ye shall make a separation between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean, and ye shall not make yourselves an abomination by beast, or by fowl, or by anything that creepeth on the ground which I have separated for you, declaring [it] as unclean.

²⁶A budete mi svätí, lebo svätý som ja Hospodin a preto som vás oddelil od iných národov, aby ste boli moji.

²⁶And ye shall be holy unto me; for I Jehovah am holy, and have separated you from the peoples to be mine.

²⁷A muž alebo žena, v ktorých by bol veštiaci duch, vyvolávajúci duchov, alebo duch vedomca, istotne zomrú, ukameňujú ich; ich krv bude na nich.

²⁷And if there be a man or a woman in whom is a spirit of Python or of divination, they shall certainly be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood is upon them.
