¹Nespravíte si modiel ani nijakého rytého obrazu ani si nepostavíte nijakého stĺpu modlárskeho ani nedáte nijakého kameňa s vyobrazeniami nikde vo svojej zemi, aby ste sa pred ním klaňali, lebo ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.

¹Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

²Moje soboty budete ostríhať a budete sa báť mojej svätyne. Ja som Hospodin!

²Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

³Ak budete chodiť v mojich ustanoveniach a budete ostríhať moje prikázania a budete ich činiť,

³If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,

⁴dám vám vaše dažde v ich čas, a zem vydá svoju úrodu, a poľný strom vydá svoje ovocie,

⁴then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;

⁵takže vám mlatba bude trvať do oberačky, a oberačka bude trvať do sejby, a najete sa svojho chleba do sýtosti a budete bývať bezpeční vo svojej zemi.

⁵and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.

⁶A dám pokoj v zemi, a budete ležať, a nebude toho, kto by prestrašil. A vyplienim zlú zver zo zeme, a meč neprejde vašou zemou.

⁶And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will put away the evil beasts out of the land; and the sword shall not go through your land.

⁷A budete honiť svojich nepriateľov, a padnú pred vami pod meč.

⁷And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword;

⁸Piati z vás budú honiť sto, a sto z vás bude honiť desať tisíc, a vaši nepriatelia padnú pred vami pod meč.

⁸and five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall beside you by the sword.

⁹Lebo obrátim na vás svoju tvár a rozplodím a rozmnožím vás a postavím svoju smluvu s vami.

⁹And I will turn my face towards you and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

¹⁰A budete jesť staré zásoby, a vynesiete staré pre nové.

¹⁰And ye shall eat old store, and clear away the old because of the new.

¹¹A dám svoj príbytok do vášho stredu, a nebude si vás oškliviť moja duša.

¹¹And I will set my habitation among you; and my soul shall not abhor you;

¹²A budem sa prechádzať medzi vami a budem vám Bohom, a vy mi budete ľudom.

¹²and I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be to me a people.

¹³Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh, ktorý som vás vyviedol z Egyptskej zeme, aby ste im neboli sluhami, a polámal som ihlice vášho jarma a dal som vám, aby ste chodili priami.

¹³I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright.

¹⁴Ale ak by ste ma neposlúchali a nečinili by ste všetkých týchto prikázaní

¹⁴But if ye hearken not unto me, and do not all these commandments,

¹⁵a keby ste zavrhli moje ustanovenia, a vaša duša keby si zošklivila moje súdy, takže by ste nečinili všetkých mojich prikázaní a zrušili by ste tak moju smluvu,

¹⁵and if ye shall despise my statutes, and if your soul shall abhor mine ordinances, so that ye do not all my commandments, that ye break my covenant,

¹⁶vtedy vám i ja učiním toto: uvediem na vás strach, suchoty a horúčku, čo zkazí oči a zmalátni dušu, a budete nadarmo siať svoje semeno, lebo ho zjedia vaši nepriatelia.

¹⁶I also will do this unto you -- I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

¹⁷A obrátim svoju tvár proti vám, a budete porazení pred svojimi nepriateľmi, a budú panovať nad vami tí, ktorí vás nenávidia. Budete utekať, hoci vás nebude nikto honiť.

¹⁷And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

¹⁸A keby ste ma neposlúchali ešte ani vtedy, keď by prišlo až po to, vtedy vás budem ešte sedemkrát prísnejšie trestať pre vaše hriechy

¹⁸And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins,

¹⁹a skrúšim pýchu vašej sily a dám, aby vaše nebesia boly nad vami jako železo a vaša zem ako meď.

¹⁹and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze,

²⁰Vaša sila vynaložená bude nadarmo, a vaša zem nevydá svojej úrody, ani strom zeme nedá svojho ovocia.

²⁰and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

²¹A keby ste ešte i vtedy išli proti mne čelom a nechceli by ste ma poslúchať, ešte pridám na vás sedemkrát toľko úderov, podľa vašich hriechov.

²¹And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring sevenfold more plagues upon you according to your sins.

²²Pošlem na vás poľnú zver, ktorá vás osirotí a vyhubí váš dobytok a umenší vás, a spustnú vaše cesty.

²²And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate.

²³A keby ste mi ani tým neboli nakarhaní a išli by ste proti mne čelom,

²³And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me,

²⁴nuž pojdem i ja proti vám čelom a budem i ja vás biť sedemkrát tak mocne pre vaše hriechy.

²⁴then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins.

²⁵A dovediem na vás meč, ktorý svrchovane pomstí zrušenie smluvy; shrniete sa do svojich miest, a pošlem ta medzi vás mor, a budete vydaní do ruky nepriateľa.

²⁵And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

²⁶Keď vám polámem palicu chleba, desať žien bude piecť váš chlieb v jednej peci, a vrátia váš chlieb na váhu, a budete jesť, ale sa nenasýtite.

²⁶When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

²⁷A keby ste ma ešte ani vtedy neposlúchali a išli by ste proti mne čelom,

²⁷And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me,

²⁸vtedy pojdem i ja proti vám čelom v prudkom hneve a budem i ja vás trestať sedemnásobne pre vaše hriechy.

²⁸then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.

²⁹Budete jesť telo svojich synov i telo svojich dcér budete jesť.

²⁹And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

³⁰A zahladím vaše výšiny a povytínam vaše slnečné obrazy a dám pohádzať vaše okyptené telá na kypty vašich ukydaných bohov, a moja duša si vás bude oškliviť.

³⁰And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.

³¹Obrátim vaše mestá na rumy a spustoším vaše svätyne ani nezavoniam vašej upokojujúcej vône.

³¹And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours.

³²A ja spustoším zem, takže sa zdesia nad ňou vaši nepriatelia, ktorí budú bývať v nej.

³²And I will bring the land into desolation; that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.

³³A vás rozptýlim medzi národy a vytasím meč a pošlem ho za vami, vaša zem bude púšťou, a vaše mestá budú zrúcaninami.

³³And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste.

³⁴Vtedy sa bude zem tešiť svojim sobotám po všetky dni, v ktorých bude spustošená, a vy budete v zemi svojich nepriateľov. Vtedy si teda odpočinie zem a bude sa tešiť svojim sobotám.

³⁴Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, when ye are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

³⁵Po všetky dni, v ktorých bude spustošená, bude odpočívať to, čo neodpočívala vo vašich sobotách, keď ste bývali na nej.

³⁵All the days of the desolation it shall rest, [the days in] which it did not rest on your sabbaths, when ye dwelt therein.

³⁶A tým, ktorí pozostanú z vás, dám chabosť do srdca v zemiach ich nepriateľov, takže ich bude honiť šust listu, hnaného vetrom, a budú utekať, ako utekajú pred mečom, a padnú, hoci nikto nebude honiť.

³⁶And as to those that remain of you -- I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth;

³⁷Budú padať druh na druha potkýnajúc sa, jako keby utekali pred mečom, hoci ich nikto nebude honiť, ani neobstojíte pred svojimi nepriateľmi.

³⁷and they shall stumble one over another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

³⁸A pohyniete medzi národami, a požerie vás zem vašich nepriateľov.

³⁸And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

³⁹A tí, ktorí z vás pozostanú, budú chradnúť pre svoju neprávosť v zemiach vašich nepriateľov a pravda i pre neprávosti svojich otcov, ktoré pojdú s nimi, budú chradnúť.

³⁹And they that remain of you shall waste away through their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also through the iniquities of their fathers shall they waste away with them.

⁴⁰Ale zase, keď budú vyznávať svoju neprávosť a neprávosť svojich otcov, keď by učinili neverne, že sa dopustili nevernosti voči mne a že išli proti mne čelom,

⁴⁰And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, through their unfaithfulness wherein they were unfaithful to me, and also that they have walked contrary unto me,

⁴¹pre čo som potom i ja išiel proti nim čelom a zaviedol som ich do zeme ich nepriateľov, alebo čo viac, keď sa potom pokorí ich neobrezané srdce, a schvália pokutu za svoju neprávosť,

⁴¹so that I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

⁴²vtedy sa i ja rozpomeniem na svoju smluvu s Jakobom, ba i na svoju smluvu s Izákom, áno i na svoju smluvu s Abrahámom sa rozpomeniem. A rozpomeniem sa i na tú zem.

⁴²I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

⁴³Ale zem bude medzitým opustená od nich a bude sa tešiť svojim sobotám, kým bude spustošená bez nich, a oni schvália pokutu za svoju neprávosť, a to preto, že opovrhli mojimi súdami, a že ich duša si bola zošklivila moje ustanovenia.

⁴³For the land shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, when it is in desolation without them; and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

⁴⁴Avšak ešte i to by som vykonal, že keď by aj boli v zemi svojich nepriateľov, nezavrhol by som ich a nezošklivil by som si ich tak, aby som ich úplne zničil, aby som zrušil svoju smluvu s nimi, lebo ja som Hospodin, ich Bôh.

⁴⁴And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, and will not abhor them, to make an end of them utterly, to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God.

⁴⁵Ale im budem pamätať na smluvu s predkami, ktorých som vyviedol z Egyptskej zeme pred očami národov, aby som im bol Bohom, ja Hospodin!

⁴⁵But I will remember toward them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah.

⁴⁶Toto sú ustanovenia, súdy a zákony, ktoré dal Hospodin medzi seba a medzi synov Izraelových na vrchu Sinai prostredníctvom Mojžišovým.

⁴⁶These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which Jehovah made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
