¹A Kórach, syn Jishára, syna Keháta, syna Léviho, pojal so sebou mužov i Dátan a Abíram, synovia Eliábovi, jako aj Ón, syn Peletov, synovia Rúbenovi,

¹And Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, made bold, and [with him] Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, the sons of Reuben;

²a postavili sa pred Mojžiša a iných mužov zo synov Izraelových dvesto päťdesiat, kniežatá obce, ktorí bývali volávaní do rady shromaždenia, mužovia mena.

²and they rose up against Moses, with two hundred and fifty men of the children of Israel, princes of the assembly, summoned to the council, men of renown;

³A shromaždili sa na Mojžiša a na Árona a povedali im: Nech vám je už dosť, lebo veď celá obec, všetci sú svätí, a Hospodin je medzi nimi. Prečo sa tedy pozdvihujete nad shromaždením Hospodinovým?

³and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, It is enough; for all the assembly, all of them are holy, and Jehovah is among them; and why do ye lift up yourselves above the congregation of Jehovah?

⁴Keď to počul Mojžiš, padol na svoju tvár

⁴When Moses heard this, he fell on his face.

⁵a hovoril Kórachovi i celej jeho obci a riekol: Ráno oznámi Hospodin, kto je jeho, a kto je svätý, a tomu dá, aby sa priblížil k nemu, a tedy tomu, koho si vyvolí, rozkáže pristúpiť k sebe.

⁵And he spoke to Korah and to all his band, saying, Even to-morrow will Jehovah make known who is his, and who is holy; and he will cause him to come near to him; and him whom he has chosen, him will he cause to come near to him.

⁶Spravte toto: vezmite si kadidlá, Kórach, i celá jeho obec.

⁶This do: take you censers, Korah, and all his band,

⁷A dajte do nich ohňa a položte na ne kadiva pred Hospodinom, zajtra. A stane sa, že muž, ktorého vyvolí Hospodin, ten bude svätý. Dosť vám je už, synovia Léviho.

⁷and put fire therein, and lay incense thereon before Jehovah to-morrow; and it shall be that the man whom Jehovah doth choose, he shall be holy. It is enough, ye sons of Levi!

⁸A Mojžiš povedal Kórachovi: Nože počujte, synovia Léviho!

⁸And Moses said to Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi!

⁹Či vám je to ešte málo, že vás oddelil Bôh Izraelov od celej obce Izraelovej, aby vám dal to, aby ste sa blížili k nemu, aby ste konali službu príbytku Hospodinovho a aby ste stáli pred obcou a slúžili im?

⁹Is it too little for you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the assembly of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the work of the tabernacle of Jehovah, and to stand before the assembly to minister to them?

¹⁰A dal ti to, aby si sa priblížil ty a všetci tvoji bratia, synovia Léviho, s tebou, a hľadáte ešte i kňazstvo?

¹⁰-- that he has brought thee near, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee; and seek ye now the priesthood also?

¹¹Preto teraz uvidíte, čo bude, ty i celá tvoja obec, ktorí ste sa sišli na Hospodina. A ktože je Áron, že repcete proti nemu?

¹¹For which cause thou and all thy band are banded together against Jehovah; and Aaron, who is he that ye murmur against him?

¹²A Mojžiš poslal zavolať Dátana a Abírama, synov Eliábových. Ale oni povedali: Nepojdeme hore.

¹²And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said, We will not come up!

¹³Či ti je to ešte málo, že si nás vyviedol sem hore zo zeme, ktorá tečie mliekom a medom, aby si nás usmrtil na púšti? Lebo chceš ešte i jako knieža panovať nad nami?

¹³Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that thou must make thyself altogether a ruler over us?

¹⁴K tomu si nás ani nevoviedol do zeme, ktorá tečie mliekom a medom, a pekne si nám dal dedičstvo, pole a vinice! Či chceš tým mužom vylúpiť oči? Nepojdeme hore.

¹⁴Moreover, thou hast not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up!

¹⁵Vtedy sa veľmi rozhneval Mojžiš a povedal Hospodinovi: Nepozri na ich obilnú obeť! Nevzal som od nich ani len jedného osla ani som nikomu z nich neurobil ničoho zlého.

¹⁵Then Moses was very wroth, and said to Jehovah, Have no regard to their oblation: not one ass have I taken from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

¹⁶A Mojžiš povedal Kórachovi: Ty i celá tvoja obec buďte pred Hospodinom, ty a oni aj Áron, zajtra.

¹⁶And Moses said to Korah, Be thou and all thy band before Jehovah, thou, and they, and Aaron, to-morrow.

¹⁷A vezmite každý svoje kadidlo, dajte na ne kadiva a donesiete pred Hospodina každý svoje kadidlo, dvesto päťdesiat kadidiel, aj ty aj Áron, každý svoje kadidlo.

¹⁷And take each his censer, and put incense thereon, and present before Jehovah every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; and thou, and Aaron, each his censer.

¹⁸Vtedy vzali každý svoje kadidlo a dali na ne ohňa a položil na ne kadiva a stáli pri dveriach stánu shromaždenia, i Mojžiš i Áron.

¹⁸And they took each his censer, and put fire on them, and laid incense thereon, and stood before the entrance to the tent of meeting, as well as Moses and Aaron.

¹⁹A Kórach bol shromaždil na nich celú obec ku dveriam stánu shromaždenia. A ukázala sa sláva Hospodinova, celej obci.

¹⁹And Korah gathered the whole assembly against them to the entrance of the tent of meeting. And the glory of Jehovah appeared to all the assembly.

²⁰A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a Áronovi a riekol:

²⁰And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

²¹Oddeľte sa zprostred tejto obce a zahladím ich v okamžení.

²¹Separate yourselves from the midst of this assembly, and I will consume them in a moment.

²²Ale oni padli na svoju tvár a riekli: Ó, silný Bože, Bože duchov, každého tela, či keď zhreší jediný človek, budeš sa preto hnevať na celú obec?

²²And they fell on their faces, and said, O ùGod, the God of the spirits of all flesh! shall *one* man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with the whole assembly?

²³A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

²³And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴Hovor obci a povedz: Odstúpte naokolo od príbytku Kóracha, Dátana a Abírama.

²⁴Speak unto the assembly, saying, Get you up from about the habitation of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

²⁵A Mojžiš vstal a išiel k Dátanovi a k Abíramovi, a išli za ním starší Izraelovi.

²⁵And Moses rose up and went to Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

²⁶Potom hovoril obci a riekol: Odstúpte, prosím, od stánov týchto bezbožných mužov a nedotknite sa ničoho, čo je ich, aby ste neboli zachvátení so všetkými ich hriechami.

²⁶And he spoke to the assembly, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye perish in all their sins.

²⁷A odstúpili od príbytku Kóracha, Dátana a Abírama, zo všetkých strán. A Dátan a Abíram vyjdúc stáli pri dveriach svojich stánov aj ich ženy aj ich synovia aj ich drobné deti.

²⁷And they got up from the habitation of Koran, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side. And Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the entrance of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little ones.

²⁸A Mojžiš povedal: Po tom poznáte, že ma poslal Hospodin, aby som činil všetky tieto skutky. Lebo ich nerobím z vlastného srdca alebo z vlastného rozumu.

²⁸And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that Jehovah has sent me to do all these deeds, for they are not out of my own heart:

²⁹Ak títo zomrú, jako zomierajú všetci iní ľudia, alebo ak budú navštívení navštívením, akým bývajú navštívení všetci iní ľudia, vtedy ma neposlal Hospodin.

²⁹if these men die as all men die, and are visited with the visitation of all men, Jehovah has not sent me;

³⁰Ale ak stvorí Hospodin niečo nové, čo ešte nebolo, a zem otvorí svoje ústa a pohltí ich aj všetko, čo je ich, a sostúpia živí do pekla, vtedy poznáte, že títo mužovia popudzovali Hospodina pohŕdajúc ním.

³⁰but if Jehovah make a new thing, and the ground open its mouth, and swallow them up, and all that they have, and they go down alive into Sheol, then ye shall know that these men have despised Jehovah.

³¹A stalo sa, keď dohovoril všetky tie slová, že sa rozstúpila zem, ktorá bola pod nimi,

³¹And it came to pass when he had ended speaking all these words, that the ground clave apart that was under them.

³²a zem otvorila svoje ústa a pohltila ich aj ich domy i všetkých ľudí, ktorých mal Kórach, i celý ich majetok.

³²And the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men that belonged to Korah, and all their property.

³³Tak sostúpili oni aj so všetkým, čo bolo ich, živí do pekla, a zem ich prikryla, a zahynuli zprostred shromaždenia.

³³And they went down, they and all that they had, alive into Sheol, and the earth covered them; and they perished from among the congregation.

³⁴A všetok Izrael, všetci, ktorí boli vôkol nich, utekali na ich krik, lebo vraveli: Aby i nás nepohltila zem!

³⁴And all Israel that were round about them fled at their cry; for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up!

³⁵A oheň vyšiel od Hospodina a strávil tých dvesto päťdesiat mužov, ktorí obetovali to kadivo.

³⁵And there came out a fire from Jehovah, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that had presented incense.

³⁶A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

³⁶And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁷Povedz Eleazárovi, synovi Árona, kňaza, aby posbieral tie kadidlá z toho pohoreniska, a oheň rozmec ta preč, lebo sú sväté,

³⁷Speak to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning; and scatter the fire afar; for they are hallowed,

³⁸totiž kadidlá tých hriešnikov, ktorí hrešili proti svojim vlastným dušiam, a spravia z nich kuté tablice na okrytie oltára, lebo ich doniesli pred Hospodina, a preto sú sväté a budú na znamenie synom Izraelovým.

³⁸the censers of these sinners who have forfeited their life; and they shall make them into broad plates for the covering of the altar; for they presented them before Jehovah, therefore they are hallowed; and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

³⁹Vtedy pobral Eleazár, kňaz, medené kadidlá, ktoré doniesli tí, ktorí boli spálení, a rozkovali ich na plechy, určené na okrytie oltára,

³⁹And Eleazar the priest took the copper censers, which they that were burnt had presented; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

⁴⁰a bolo to na pamiatku synom Izraelovým, aby sa nepriblížil nikto cudzí, kto by nebol z rodu Áronovho, aby kadil kadivo pred Hospodinom, aby nebol spálený jako Kórach a jako jeho rota, tak ako mu hovoril Hospodin skrze Mojžiša.

⁴⁰as a memorial to the children of Israel, that no stranger who is not of the seed of Aaron come near to burn incense before Jehovah, that he be not as Korah, and as his band, -- as Jehovah had said to him through Moses.

⁴¹No, potom druhého dňa reptala celá obec synov Izraelových na Mojžiša a na Árona a vraveli: Vy ste usmrtili ľud Hospodinov.

⁴¹And the whole assembly of the children of Israel murmured on the morrow against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of Jehovah.

⁴²A stalo sa, keď sa shromaždila obec na Mojžiša a na Árona a obrátili sa k stánu shromaždenia, tu hľa, pokryl ho oblak, a ukázala sa sláva Hospodinova.

⁴²And it came to pass, when the assembly was gathered together against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tent of meeting, and behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Jehovah appeared.

⁴³A Mojžiš a Áron prišli pred stán shromaždenia.

⁴³And Moses and Aaron went before the tent of meeting.

⁴⁴A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

⁴⁴And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

⁴⁵Vyjdite zprostred tejto obce, a zahladím ich v okamihu. A padli obaja na svoju tvár.

⁴⁵Get you up from the midst of this assembly, and I will consume them in a moment. And they fell on their faces.

⁴⁶Vtedy povedal Mojžiš Áronovi: Vezmi kadidlo, daj naň ohňa s oltára, polož kadiva a idi rýchle k obci a pokry na nich hriech, lebo vyšiel prudký hnev od tvári Hospodinovej, začala rana.

⁴⁶And Moses said to Aaron, Take the censer, and put fire thereon from off the altar, and lay on incense, and carry it quickly to the assembly, and make atonement for them; for there is wrath gone out from Jehovah: the plague is begun.

⁴⁷Tu vzal Áron, ako hovoril Mojžiš, a bežal doprostred shromaždenia, a hľa, rana už bola začala v ľude, a tedy dajúc kadiva pokryl na ľude hriech.

⁴⁷And Aaron took as Moses had said, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and behold, the plague had begun among the people; and he put on incense, and made atonement for the people.

⁴⁸A stál medzi mŕtvymi a medzi živými, a rana bola zastavena.

⁴⁸And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

⁴⁹A tých, ktorí pomreli ranou, bolo štrnásť tisíc sedemsto krome tých, ktorí zomreli pre Kóracha.

⁴⁹Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides them that had died because of the matter of Korah.

⁵⁰Potom sa navrátil Áron k Mojžišovi ku dveriam stánu shromaždenia, a rana bola zastavená.

⁵⁰And Aaron returned to Moses to the entrance of the tent of meeting; and the plague was stayed.
