1V tom čase mi riekol Hospodin: Uteš si dve kamenné dosky, jaké boly tie prvé, a vyjdi ku mne sem na vrch a spravíš si truhlu z dreva.
1At that time Yahweh said to me, “Cut two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
2Napíšem na dosky slová, ktoré boly na tamtých prvých doskách, ktoré si rozbil, a vložíš ich do truhly.
2I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.”
3A tak som spravil truhlu zo šittímového dreva a utesal som dve kamenné dosky, jaké boly tie prvé, a vyšiel som na vrch a dve dosky som niesol vo svojej ruke.
3So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tables of stone like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.
4A napísal na dosky, jako bolo tamto prvé písmo, desať slov, ktoré vám hovoril Hospodin na vrchu zprostred ohňa v deň shromaždenia, a Hospodin ich dal zase mne.
4He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Yahweh gave them to me.
5Potom som sa obrátil a sišiel som s vrchu a vložil som dosky do truhly, ktorú som spravil, a sú tam, tak ako mi prikázal Hospodin.
5I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.
6A synovia Izraelovi sa rušali z Beerót-bené-jaakána do Mósera. Tam zomrel Áron a tam je i pochovaný, a kňazský úrad konal Eleazár, jeho syn, miesto neho.
6(The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his place.
7Odtiaľ sa rušali do Gudgody a z Gudgody do Jotbaty, do zeme potokov vody.
7From there they traveled to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
8Toho času oddelil Hospodin pokolenie Léviho, aby nosili truhlu smluvy Hospodinovej, a aby stáli pred Hospodinom, aby mu slúžili a aby dávali požehnanie v jeho mene, jako je tomu až do dnešného dňa.
8At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
9Preto nemá Lévi podielu a dedičstva so svojimi bratmi. Hospodin je jeho dedičstvom, tak ako mu hovoril Hospodin, tvoj Bôh.
9Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, according as Yahweh your God spoke to him.)
10A ja som stál na vrchu jako v tamtie prvé dni, štyridsať dní a štyridsať nocí. A Hospodin ma vyslyšal i ten raz; nechcel ťa už potom Hospodin zkaziť.
10I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Yahweh listened to me that time also; Yahweh would not destroy you.
11A Hospodin mi riekol: Vstaň, iď, aby si išiel pred ľudom, aby vošli a zaujali do dedičstva zem, ktorú som prisahal ich otcom, že im ju dám.
11Yahweh said to me, “Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.”
12A tak teraz, Izraelu, čože žiada Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, od teba krome toho, aby si sa bál Hospodina, svojho Boha, aby si chodil po všetkých jeho cestách, aby si ho miloval a aby si slúžil Hospodinovi, svojmu Bohu, celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou,
12Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
13aby si ostríhal prikázania Hospodinove a jeho ustanovenia, ktoré ti ja dnes prikazujem na tvoje dobré.
13to keep the commandments of Yahweh, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
14Hľa, Hospodinove, tvojho Bohove, sú nebesia i nebesia nebies, zem i všetko, čo je na nej.
14Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.
15A predsa len k tvojim otcom priľnul Hospodin milujúc ich a vyvolil si ich semeno po nich, vás, zo všetkých národov, ako je tomu dnes.
15Only Yahweh had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
16A preto obrežete neobrezanosť svojho srdca a nezatvrdzujte viacej svojej šije!
16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
17Lebo Hospodin, váš Bôh, je Bohom bohov a Pánom pánov, silný Bôh veľký, premocný a strašný, ktorý nehľadí na osobu človeka ani nevezme úplatného daru,
17For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons, nor takes reward.
18ktorý činí súd siroty a vdovy a miluje pohostína dávajúc mu chlieb a odev.
18He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.
19Preto budete aj vy milovať pohostína, lebo ste boli pohostínmi v Egyptskej zemi.
19Therefore love the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
20Hospodina, svojho Boha, sa budeš báť, jemu budeš slúžiť a jeho sa budeš láskou pridŕžať a na jeho meno budeš prisahať.
20You shall fear Yahweh your God; you shall serve him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.
21On je tvojou chlúbou a on tvojím Bohom, ktorý učinil s tebou tie veľké a strašné veci, ktoré videly tvoje oči.
21He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.
22V počte sedemdesiat duší odišli tvoji otcovia dolu do Egypta, a teraz ťa rozmnožil Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, že ťa je ako hviezd na nebesiach čo do množstva.
22Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now Yahweh your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.
