¹Neraduj sa, Izraelu, na plesot ako národy, lebo smilníš odchádzajúc od svojho Boha; miluješ mzdu za smilstvo na všetkých humnách obilných.

¹Don’t rejoice, Israel, to jubilation like the nations; for you were unfaithful to your God. You love the wages of a prostitute at every grain threshing floor.

²Humno ani vínny preš ich nebude pásť, a vínna šťava im zlyhá.

²The threshing floor and the winepress won’t feed them, and the new wine will fail her.

³Nebudú bývať v zemi Hospodinovej, ale Efraim sa navráti do Egypta, a v Assýrii budú jesť nečisté.

³They won’t dwell in Yahweh’s land; but Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.

⁴Nebudú liať Hospodinovi vína v obeť, ani mu nebudú príjemné ich bitné obeti; budú im ako chlieb smútiacich za mŕtvym; všetci, ktorí by ho jedli, zanečistia sa, lebo ich chlieb je pre ich duše, nevojde do domu Hospodinovho.

⁴They won’t pour out wine offerings to Yahweh, neither will they be pleasing to him. Their sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat of it will be polluted; for their bread will be for their appetite. It will not come into the house of Yahweh.

⁵Čo budete robiť na deň slávnosti a na deň sviatku Hospodinovho?

⁵What will you do in the day of solemn assembly, and in the day of the feast of Yahweh?

⁶Lebo hľa, odídu ta pre zkazu; Egypt ich shromaždí, Memfis ich pohrobí; čo do žiadúcnych vecí ich striebra, prhľava ich dostane do majetku; bodliak bude v ich stánoch.

⁶For, behold, they have gone away from destruction. Egypt will gather them up. Memphis will bury them. Nettles will possess their pleasant things of silver. Thorns will be in their tents.

⁷Prijdú dni navštívenia, prijdú dni odplaty, pozná Izrael. Prorok mu je blázon, pomätenec muž ducha - pre množstvo tvojej neprávosti a pre mnohé útočiace nepriateľstvo.

⁷The days of visitation have come. The days of reckoning have come. Israel will consider the prophet to be a fool, and the man who is inspired to be insane, because of the abundance of your sins, and because your hostility is great.

⁸Pozorujúcim strážcom bol Efraim u môjho Boha. A teraz prorok? Osídlom vtáčnika na všetkých jeho cestách, útočné nepriateľstvo v dome jeho Boha.

⁸A prophet watches over Ephraim with my God. A fowler’s snare is on all of his paths, and hostility in the house of his God.

⁹Hlboko sa porušili jako za dní Gibee; rozpamätá sa na ich neprávosť; navštívi ich hriechy.

⁹They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity. He will punish them for their sins.

¹⁰Jako hrozná na púšti som našiel Izraela, jako prvé ovocie na fíku v jeho prvotine som videl vašich otcov, ale oni prišli k Bálpeorovi a nazarejsky sa oddali tej hanebnosti a stali sa mrzkosťou jako aj ich láska.

¹⁰I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at its first season; but they came to Baal Peor, and consecrated themselves to the shameful thing, and became abominable like that which they loved.

¹¹Čo do Efraima, ich sláva zaletí jako vták na toľko, že nebude pôrodu ani tehotenstva ani počatia.

¹¹As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird. There will be no birth, none with child, and no conception.

¹²Lebo ak vychovajú svojich synov, osirotím ich, takže nebude človeka, lebo aj beda im, keď uhnem od nich.

¹²Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!

¹³Efraim, ako vidím u Týru, je zasadený na krásnej nive; ale Efraim má vyviesť svojich synov k vrahovi.

¹³I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.

¹⁴Daj im Hospodine, lež čo dáš? Daj im potratné lono a vyschlé prsia.

¹⁴Give them—Yahweh what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

¹⁵Všetka ich nešľachetnosť je v Gilgale, lebo tam som ich vzal v nenávisť; pre zlosť ich skutkov ich zaženiem zo svojho domu; nebudem ich viacej milovať; všetky ich kniežatá sú spurní odpadlíci.

¹⁵“All their wickedness is in Gilgal; for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house! I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels.

¹⁶Efraim bude zbitý; ich koreň uschne; nedonesú ovocia; lebo aj keby splodily, pobijem to, čo bude najžiadúcnejšie ich lona.

¹⁶Ephraim is struck. Their root has dried up. They will bear no fruit. Even though they bring forth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb.”

¹⁷Môj Bôh ich zavrhne, lebo ho neposlúchajú, a budú tulákmi medzi národami.

¹⁷My God will cast them away, because they did not listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.
