10He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.
11Odvracia moje cesty a roztrhal ma; učinil ma pustým.
11He has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
12Natiahol svoje lučište a postavil ma jako cieľ strele.
12He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13Hé. Vrazil do mojich ľadvín strely svojho túla.
13He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.
14Stal som sa posmechom všetkému svojmu ľudu, ich pesničkou každý deň.
14I am become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
15Nasýtil ma horkosťami; napojil ma palinou.
15He has filled me with bitterness, he has sated me with wormwood.
16Vav. A dal mi zubami drtiť štrk; zohol ma do popola.
16He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with ashes.
17Odvrhol si moju dušu preč od pokoja, až som i zabudol na to, čo je dobré.
17You have removed my soul far off from peace; I forgot prosperity.
18A povedal som: Zahynula moja životná sila a moja nádej, ktorej som sa nadejal od Hospodina.
18I said, My strength is perished, and my expectation from Yahweh.
19Zajin. Pamätaj na moje trápenie a na moje blúdenie sem a ta, na palinu a na jed.
19Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20Istotne budeš pamätať, keď aj je moja duša zohnutá vo mne.
20My soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
21Toto vše odpoviem svojmu srdcu; preto sa nadejem:
21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope.
22Chet. Je to mnohonásobná milosť Hospodinova, že sme nevyhynuli docela; lebo neprestaly jeho zľutovania.
22It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail.
23Sú nové každého rána; veľká je tvoja vernosť.
23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24Mojím dielom je Hospodin, hovorí moja duša; preto sa nadejem na neho.
24Yahweh is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25Teth. Dobrý je Hospodin tým, ktorí očakávajú na neho, duši, ktorá ho hľadá.
25Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
26Dobre je, aby dúfal človek a mlčky očakával na spasenie Hospodinovo.
26It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh.
27Dobre je mužovi, aby niesol jarmo vo svojej mladosti.
27It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28Jod. Nech sedí o samote a mlčí, keď naloží na neho.
28Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
29Nech vloží svoje ústa do prachu, azda je ešte nádej.
29Let him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
30Nech podá svoje líce tomu, kto ho bije; nech sa nasýti potupy.
30Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled full with reproach.
31Kaf. Lebo Pán neodvrhne na veky.
31For the Lord will not cast off forever.
32Lebo hoci aj zarmúti, zase sa zľutuje podľa množstva svojej milosti.
32For though he cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
33Lebo netrápi zo svojho srdca ani nezarmucuje synov človeka.
33For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
34Lamed. Zdeptať všetkých väzňov zeme pod svoje nohy,
34To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,
35zohnúť súd muža pred tvárou Najvyššieho,
35To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
36prevrátiť človeka v jeho pravote, či by Pán toho nevidel?
36To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn’t approve.
37Mem. Kto kedy povedal niečo, a stalo sa, čoho by nebol prikázal Pán?
37Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
38Či azda nepochádza z úst Najvyššieho zlé i dobré?
38Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
39Prečo by si tedy sťažoval človek, dokiaľ žije, muž na kázeň za svoje hriechy?
39Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40Nun. Nože zkúmajme svoje cesty a zpytujme a navráťme sa až k Hospodinovi!
40Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.
41Pozdvihnime i svoje srdce s rukami k silnému Bohu v nebesiach!
41Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” in the heavens.
42My sme sa spreneverili a protivili sme sa, preto si ty neodpustil.
42We have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.
43Samek. Zastrel si sa hnevom a stíhaš nás; pobil si, nešetril si.
43You have covered with anger and pursued us; you have killed, you have not pitied.
44Zastrel si sa hustým oblakom, aby neprenikla modlitba.
44You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
45Položil si nás za smeti a povrheľ uprostred národov.
45You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.
46Roztvárajú na nás svoje ústa všetci naši nepriatelia.
46All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
47Strach a jama je nám údelom, spustošenie a skrúšenie.
47Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.
48Moje oko tečie potokami vody pre skrúšenie dcéry môjho ľudu.
48My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49Ajin. Moje oko sa rozplýva a nemá pokoja a to tak bez prestania,
49My eye pours down, and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,
50dokiaľ len nevyzrie a neuvidí Hospodin z nebies.
50Until Yahweh look down, and see from heaven.
51Moje oko pôsobí mojej duši bolesť pre všetky dcéry môjho mesta.
51My eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
52Tsadé. Moji nepriatelia ma nemilosrdne honili, jako nejaké vtáča, bez príčiny.
52They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
53Aby zničili môj život, hodili ma do jamy a prihádzali ma kamením.
53They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
54Vody zalialy moju hlavu, takže som povedal: Už je po mne!
54Waters flowed over my head; I said, I am cut off.
55Khof. Vzývam tvoje meno, ó, Hospodine, z najhlbšej jamy.
55I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.
56Čuješ môj hlas, len nezakrývaj svojho ucha pred mojou prosbou o úľavu, pred mojím pokorným volaním o pomoc!
56You heard my voice; don’t hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57Veď si sa blížieval v deň, v ktorý som volal na teba; vše si povedal: Neboj sa!
57You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don’t be afraid.
58Réš. Riešil si, Pane, pravoty mojej duše; vykúpil si môj život.
58Lord, you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life.
59Vidíš, ó, Hospodine, prevrátenosť, ktorá sa mi deje; rozsúď môj súd!
59Yahweh, you have seen my wrong. Judge my cause.
60Vidíš všetku ich pomstu, všetky ich myšlienky o mne.
60You have seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.
61Šin. Počul si ich potupu, Hospodine, všetky ich úmysly proti mne,
61You have heard their reproach, Yahweh, and all their devices against me,
62slová rtov tých, ktorí povstávajú proti mne, a ich premýšľanie proti mne každého dňa.
62The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63Hľaď, prosím, na ich sadanie a na ich vstávanie; ja som ich posmešnou pesničkou.
63You see their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their song.
64Tav. Daj im odplatu, Hospodine, podľa diela ich rúk!
64You will render to them a recompense, Yahweh, according to the work of their hands.
65Daj im zaštítenie srdca, svoju kliatbu na nich.
65You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
66Stíhaj vo svojom hneve a zahlaď ich zpod nebies Hospodinových.
66You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Yahweh.
