¹A ukázal mi čistú rieku vody života, nádhernú jako kryštál, ktorá vychádza z trónu Boha a Baránka.

¹He showed me a TR adds “pure” river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,

²Prostred jeho ulice, prostred ulice mesta, a z jednej i z druhej strany rieky bolo drevo života, ktoré rodí dvanástoré ovocie a vydáva svoje ovocie každý mesiac. A lístie dreva je na službu národom.

²in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

³A nebude viacej ničoho zlorečeného, a trón Boží a Baránkov bude v ňom, a jeho sluhovia mu budú svätoslúžiť

³There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him.

⁴a budú vidieť jeho tvár, a jeho meno bude na ich čelách.

⁴They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

⁵A noci tam už nebude. A nebudú potrebovať svetla sviece ani svetla slnca, lebo Pán Bôh ich bude osvecovať, a budú kraľovať na veky vekov.

⁵There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

⁶A riekol mi: Tieto slová sú verné a pravdivé. A Pán Bôh svätých (duchov) a prorokov poslal svojho anjela, aby ukázal svojim sluhom, čo sa musí stať naskore.

⁶He said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.”

⁷A hľa, prijdem skoro! Blahoslavený, kto ostríha slová proroctva tejto knihy.

⁷ “Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

⁸A ja, Ján, som to videl a počul. A keď som to počul a videl, padol som, aby som sa klaňal pred nohami anjela, ktorý mi to ukazoval.

⁸Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things.

⁹Ale mi povedal: Hľaď, neurob toho! Lebo som tvoj spolusluha a tvojich bratov prorokov a tých, ktorí ostríhajú slová tejto knihy. Bohu sa klaňaj!

⁹He said to me, “See you don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

¹⁰A riekol mi: Nezapečať slov proroctva tejto knihy, lebo čas je blízko.

¹⁰He said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

¹¹Kto robí neprávosť, nech len robí neprávosť ešte; a kto špiní, nech špiní ešte; a spravedlivý nech činí spravedlivosť ešte, a svätý nech sa posvätí ešte.

¹¹He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.”

¹²A hľa, prijdem skoro a moja odplata so mnou, aby som odplatil jednému každému podľa toho, jaký bude jeho skutok.

¹² “Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.

¹³Ja som Alfa i Omega, počiatok i koniec, prvý i posledný.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

¹⁴Blahoslavení, ktorí (perú svoje rúcha a) činia jeho prikázania, aby mali právo k drevu života a aby vošli bránami do mesta.

¹⁴ Blessed are those who do his commandments, NU reads “wash their robes” instead of “do his commandments”. that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

¹⁵A vonku budú psi a čarodejníci a smilníci a vrahovia a modlári a každý, kto má rád a činí lož.

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

¹⁶Ja, Ježiš, som poslal svojho anjela, aby vám toto svedčil po sboroch. Ja som koreň a rod Dávidov, hviezda, jasná a ranná.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the Bright and Morning Star.”

¹⁷A Duch a nevesta hovoria: Prijdi! A ten, kto počuje, nech povie: Prijdi! A kto žízni, nech prijde, a kto chce, nech berie vodu života zadarmo.

¹⁷The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” He who hears, let him say, “Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

¹⁸Lebo ja osvedčujem každému, kto čuje slová proroctva tejto knihy, že keby niekto pridal k tomu, na toho Bôh pridá rán, napísaných v tejto knihe;

¹⁸I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

¹⁹a keby niekto odňal zo slov knihy tohoto proroctva, tomu odníme Bôh jeho diel z knihy života a z toho svätého mesta a z toho, čo je napísané v tejto knihe.

¹⁹If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

²⁰Hovorí ten, ktorý svedčí toto: Áno, prijdem skoro! Ameň. Áno, prijdi, Pane Ježišu!

²⁰He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I come quickly.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus.

²¹Milosť našeho Pána Ježiša Krista so všetkými vami. Ameň.

²¹The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
