1To pa so rodovi Ezava, ta je Edom.
1And these [are] births of Esau, who [is] Edom.
2Ezav je vzel žene svoje iz hčera Kanaanovih: Ado, hčer Elona Hetejca, in Oholibamo, hčer Anovo, vnukinjo Zibeona Hevejca,
2Esau hath taken his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
3in Basemato, hčer Izmaelovo, sestro Nebajotovo.
3and Bashemath daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebajoth.
4In rodila je Ada Ezavu Elifaza, Basemata pa je rodila Reguela.
4And Adah beareth to Esau, Eliphaz; and Bashemath hath born Reuel;
5In Oholibama je rodila Jeuša, Jalama in Koraha. Ti so sinovi Ezavovi, ki so se mu rodili v deželi Kanaanski.
5and Aholibamah hath born Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. These [are] sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
6Ezav pa je vzel žene svoje in sinove in hčere svoje in vse domačine svoje, tudi drobnico in vso živino svojo in vso posest svojo, ki si jo je bil pridobil v deželi Kanaanski, in odšel je v drugo deželo, stran od Jakoba, brata svojega.
6And Esau taketh his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance which he hath acquired in the land of Canaan, and goeth into the country from the face of Jacob his brother;
7Kajti njuni imovini sta bili preobili, da bi mogla prebivati skupaj, in zemlja njunega tujčevanja jima je bila pretesna zavoljo njunih čred.
7for their substance was more abundant than to dwell together, and the land of their sojournings was not able to bear them because of their cattle;
8In prebival je Ezav na gori Seiru; Ezav, to je Edom.
8and Esau dwelleth in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9To pa so rodovi Ezava, očeta Edomcev, na gori Seiru.
9And these [are] births of Esau, father of Edom, in mount Seir.
10Ta so imena sinov Ezavovih: Elifaz, sin Ade, žene Ezavove; Reguel, sin Basemate, Ezavove žene.
10These [are] the names of the sons of Esau: Eliphaz son of Adah, wife of Esau; Reuel son of Bashemath, wife of Esau.
11Sinovi pa Elifazovi: Teman, Omar, Zefo in Gatam in Kenaz.
11And the sons of Eliphaz are Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz;
12Timna pa je bila priležnica Elifaza, sinu Ezavovega, in je rodila Elifazu Amaleka. Ti so sinovi Ade, Ezavove žene.
12and Timnath hath been concubine to Eliphaz son of Esau, and she beareth to Eliphaz, Amalek; these [are] sons of Adah wife of Esau.
13Ti pa so sinovi Reguelovi: Nahat in Zerah, Šama in Miza. Ti so bili sinovi Basemate, Ezavove žene.
13And these [are] sons of Reuel: Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah; these were sons of Bashemath wife of Esau.
14In ti so bili sinovi Oholibame, hčere Anove, vnukinje Zibeonove, Ezavove žene: rodila je Ezavu Jeuša, Jalama in Koraha.
14And these have been the sons of Aholibamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon, wife of Esau; and she beareth to Esau, Jeush and Jaalam and Korah.
15To so vojvode sinov Ezavovih: sinovi Elifaza, prvenca Ezavovega: vojvoda Teman, vojvoda Omar, vojvoda Zefo, vojvoda Kenaz,
15These [are] chiefs of the sons of Esau: sons of Eliphaz, first-born of Esau: chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,
16vojvoda Korah, vojvoda Gatam, vojvoda Amalek. Ti so vojvode Elifazovi v deželi Edomovi; ti so sinovi Adini.
16chief Korah, chief Gatam, chief Amalek; these [are] chiefs of Eliphaz, in the land of Edom; these [are] sons of Adah.
17To pa so sinovi Reguela, sina Ezavovega: vojvoda Nahat, vojvoda Zerah, vojvoda Šama, vojvoda Miza. Ti so vojvode Reguelovi v deželi Edomovi; ti so sinovi Basemate, Ezavove žene.
17And these [are] sons of Reuel son of Esau: chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah; these [are] chiefs of Reuel, in the land of Edom; these [are] sons of Bashemath wife of Esau.
18To pa so sinovi Oholibame, Ezavove žene: vojvoda Jeuš, vojvoda Jalam, vojvoda Korah. Ti so vojvode Oholibame, hčere Anove, Ezavove žene.
18And these [are] sons of Aholibamah wife of Esau: chief Jeush, chief Jaalam, chief Korah; these [are] chiefs of Aholibamah daughter of Anah, wife of Esau.
19Ti so sinovi Ezavovi in ti njih vojvode; to je Edom.
19These [are] sons of Esau (who [is] Edom), and these their chiefs.
20To so sinovi Seira Horejca, prejšnji prebivalci v deželi: Lotan, Šobal, Zibeon, Ana,
20These [are] sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21Dišon, Ezer in Dišan. Ti so vojvode Horejcev, sinov Seirovih, v deželi Edomovi.
21and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan; these [are] chiefs of the Horites, sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22In sinova Lotanova sta bila: Hori in Hemam, in sestra Lotanova Timna.
22And the sons of Lotan are Hori and Heman; and a sister of Lotan [is] Timna.
23Ti pa so sinovi Šobalovi: Alvan, Manahat in Ebal, Šefo in Onam.
23And these [are] sons of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24In ta sta sinova Zibeonova: Aja in Ana. To je tisti Ana, ki je našel toplice v puščavi, ko je pasel osle Zibeonu, očetu svojemu.
24And these [are] sons of Zibeon, both Ajah and Anah: it [is] Anah that hath found the Imim in the wilderness, in his feeding the asses of Zibeon his father.
25Ta pa sta otroka Anova: Dišon in Oholibama, hči Anova.
25And these [are] sons of Anah: Dishon, and Aholibamah daughter of Anah.
26In ti so sinovi Dišonovi: Hemdan, Ešban, Jitran in Keran.
26And these [are] sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27Ti pa sinovi Ezerjevi: Bilhan in Zaavan in Akan.
27These [are] sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
28Ta pa sinova Dišanova: Uz in Aran.
28These [are] sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
29Ti so vojvode Horejcev: vojvoda Lotan, vojvoda Šobal, vojvoda Zibeon, vojvoda Ana,
29These [are] chiefs of the Horite: chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah,
30vojvoda Dišon, vojvoda Ezer, vojvoda Dišan. To so vojvode Horejcev po njih vojvodstvih v deželi Seirski.
30chief Dishon, chief Ezer, chief Dishan: these [are] chiefs of the Horite in reference to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
31Ti pa so kralji, ki so kraljevali v deželi Edomovi, preden je vladal kralj sinove Izraelove.
31And these [are] the kings who have reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king over the sons of Israel.
32Bela, sin Beorjev, je zakraljeval na Edomskem, in ime mestu njegovemu je bilo Dinhaba,
32And Bela son of Beor reigneth in Edom, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah;
33in Bela je umrl, in zakraljeval je namesto njega Jobab, sin Zerahov iz Bozre.
33and Bela dieth, and reign in his stead doth Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah;
34In Jobab je umrl, in zakraljeval je namesto njega Hušam iz dežele Temančanov.
34and Jobab dieth, and reign in his stead doth Husham from the land of the Temanite.
35In Hušam je umrl, in zakraljeval je namesto njega Hadad, sin Bedada, ki je pobil Madiane na poljani Moabski; in mestu njegovemu je bilo ime Avit.
35And Husham dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad son of Bedad (who smiteth Midian in the field of Moab), and the name of his city [is] Avith;
36In Hadad je umrl, in na mestu njegovem je zakraljeval Samla iz Masreke.
36and Hadad dieth, and reign in his stead doth Samlah of Masrekah;
37In Samla je umrl, in zakraljeval je namesto njega Savel iz Rehobota ob reki.
37and Samlah dieth, and reign in his stead doth Saul from Rehoboth of the River;
38In Savel je umrl, in kraljeval je namesto njega Baal-hanan, sin Akborjev.
38and Saul dieth, and reign in his stead doth Baal-hanan son of Achbor;
39In ko je umrl Baal-hanan, sin Akborjev, je zakraljeval namesto njega Hadar; in ime mestu njegovemu je bilo Pagu, ženi njegovi pa je bilo ime Mehetabela, hči Matrede, hčere Mezahabove.
39and Baal-hanan son of Achbor dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadar, and the name of his city [is] Pau; and his wife`s name [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.
40In ta so imena vojvod Ezavovih, po njih rodbinah, po njih krajih, po njih imenih: vojvoda Timna, vojvoda Alva, vojvoda Jetet,
40And these [are] the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their families, according to their places, by their names: chief Timnah, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth,
41vojvoda Oholibama, vojvoda Ela, vojvoda Pinon,
41chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
42vojvoda Kenaz, vojvoda Teman, vojvoda Mibzar,vojvoda Magdiel, vojvoda Iram. Ti so bili vojvode Edomovi po svojih bivališčih, v deželi svoje posesti. To je Ezav, oče Edomcev.
