¹In Eliasib, veliki duhovnik, vstane z brati svojimi duhovniki in sezidajo Ovčja vrata ter jih posvetijo in vanje vstavijo duri. Posvetili so vse prav do stolpa Mea, do stolpa Hananela.

¹And Eliashib the high priest riseth, and his brethren the priests, and they build the sheep-gate; they have sanctified it, and set up its doors, even unto the tower of Meah they have sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel;

²In poleg njega so zidali možje iz Jeriha. Zraven njega je tudi zidal Zakur, sin Imrijev.

²and by his hand have men of Jericho built; and by their hand hath Zaccur son of Imri built;

³Ribja vrata pa so sezidali sinovi iz Senaa; napravili so v njih bruna in vstavili vanje duri in njih ključalnice in zapahe.

³and the fish-gate have sons of Hassenaah built, they have walled it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

⁴Poleg njih je zidal Meremot, sin Urijev, sinu Hakozovega. In poleg njega je zidal Mesulam, sin Berekija, sinu Mesezabelovega. In poleg njiju je popravljal Zadok, sin Baanov.

⁴And by their hand hath Merimoth son of Urijah, son of Koz, strengthened; and by his hand hath Meshullam son of Berechiah, son of Meshezabeel, strengthened; and by his hand hath Zadok son of Baana strengthened;

⁵In njim ob strani so popravljali Tekojčani; a njih imenitniki niso upognili vratu k službi svojega Gospoda.

⁵and by his hand have the Tekoites strengthened, and their honourable ones have not brought in their neck to the service of their Lord.

⁶In Stara vrata sta popravljala Jojada, sin Paseahov, in Mesulam, sin Besodejev: prekrila sta jih z bruni in vstavila vanje duri in njih ključalnice in zapahe.

⁶And the old gate have Jehoiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam son of Besodeiah, strengthened; they have walled it, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.

⁷In poleg njiju je popravljal Melatija Gibeonski in Jadon Meronotičan, možje iz Gibeona in iz Micpe, do tja, kjer je bila stolica deželnega oblastnika tostran reke.

⁷And by their hand hath Melatiah the Gibeonite strengthened, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, to the throne of the governor beyond the River.

⁸Njim ob strani je popravljal Uziel, sin Harhajev, eden od zlatarjev. In poleg njega je popravljal Hananija, eden od lekarnikov. In so pustili Jeruzalem, kakor je bil, do širokega zida.

⁸By his hand hath Uzziel son of Harhaiah of the refiners strengthened; and by his hand hath Hananiah son of [one of] the compounders strengthened; and they leave Jerusalem unto the broad wall.

⁹In poleg njega je popravljal Refaja, sin Hurov, glavar polovice kraja Jeruzalemskega.

⁹And by their hand hath Rephaiah son of Hur, head of the half of the district of Jerusalem, strengthened.

¹⁰In poleg njega je popravljal Jedaja, sin Harumafov, proti svoji hiši vprek. In poleg njega je popravljal Hatuš, sin Hasabnejev.

¹⁰And by their hand hath Jedaiah son of Harumaph strengthened, and over-against his own house; and by his hand hath Hattush son of Hashabniah strengthened.

¹¹Malkija, sin Harimov, in Hašub, sin Pahat-moabov, sta pa popravljala drugi kos zidovja in Pečni stolp.

¹¹A second measure hath Malchijah son of Harim strengthened, and Hashub son of Pahath-Moab, even the tower of the furnaces.

¹²In poleg njiju je popravljal Salum, sin Halohešev, glavar druge polovice Jeruzalemskega kraja, on in hčere njegove.

¹²And by his hand hath Shallum son of Halohesh, head of the half of the district of Jerusalem, strengthened, he and his daughters.

¹³Dolinska vrata je popravljal Hanun in prebivalci v Zanoahu; sezidali so jih ter vstavili vanje duri in njih ključalnice in zapahe in so zidali tisoč komolcev zidu do Gnojnih vrat.

¹³The gate of the valley hath Hanun strengthened, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they have built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits in the wall unto the dung-gate.

¹⁴Gnojna vrata pa je popravljal Malkija, sin Rehabov, glavar kraja Bet-keremskega; sezidal jih je in vtaknil duri vanje in njih ključalnice in zapahe.

¹⁴And the dung-gate hath Malchijah son of Rechab, head of the district of Beth-Haccerem, strengthened; he doth built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

¹⁵Studenčna vrata pa je popravljal Salun, sin Kol-hozejev, glavar okraja Micpenskega; sezidal jih je ter pokril in vtaknil duri vanje in njih ključalnice in zapahe, in postavil je zid ob ribniku Silojskem pri kraljevem vrtu prav do stopnic, ki gredo doli iz mesta Davidovega.

¹⁵And the gate of the fountain hath Shallum son of Col-Hozeh, head of the district of Mizpah, strengthened: he doth build it, and cover it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Siloah, to the garden of the king, and unto the steps that are going down from the city of David.

¹⁶Za njim je popravljal Nehemija, sin Azbukov, glavar polovice okraja Betzurskega, tja do konca nasproti grobom Davidovim in do ribnika, ki so ga bili napravili, in do hiše junakov.

¹⁶After him hath Nehemiah son of Azbuk, head of the half of the district of Beth-Zur, strengthened, unto over-against the graves of David, and unto the pool that is made, and unto the house of the mighty ones.

¹⁷Za njim so popravljali leviti, Rehum, sin Banijev. Poleg njega je popravlal Hasabija, glavar polovice okraja Keilskega, za svoj okraj.

¹⁷After him have the Levites strengthened, [and] Rehum son of Bani: by his hand hath Hashabiah, head of the half of the district of Keilah, strengthened, for his district.

¹⁸Za njim so popravljali njih bratje, Bavaj, sin Henadadov, vladar druge polovice okraja Keilskega.

¹⁸After him have their brethren strengthened, [and] Bavvai son of Henadad, head of the half of the district of Keilah.

¹⁹In poleg njega je popravljal Ezer, sin Jesujev, glavar v Micpi. Drugi kos zidu nasproti vzhodu k orožarni, pri zidnem ovinku.

¹⁹And Ezer son of Jeshua, head of Mizpah, doth strengthen, by his hand, a second measure, from over-against the ascent of the armoury at the angle.

²⁰Za njim je marljivo popravljal Baruk, sin Zabajev, drugi kos zidu, od ovinka k vratom hiše Eliasiba, velikega duhovnika.

²⁰After him hath Baruch son of Zabbai hastened to strengthen a second measure from the angle unto the opening of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

²¹Za njim je popravljal Meremot, sin Urijev, sinu Hakozovega, drugi kos zidu od vrat hiše Eleasibove do konca hiše Eliasibove.

²³Za njimi sta popravljala Benjamin in Hašub hišam svojim nasproti. Za njima je popravljal Azarija, sin Maaseja, sinu Ananijevega, pri hiši svoji.

²³After them hath Benjamin strengthened, and Hashub, over-against their house; after him hath Azariah son of Maaseiah, son of Ananiah, strengthened, near his house.

²⁴Za njim je popravljal Binuj, sin Henadadov, drugi kos zidu, od hiše Azarijeve do ovinka in do vogla.

²⁴After him hath Binnui son of Henadad strengthened, a second measure, from the house of Azariah unto the angle, and unto the corner.

²⁵Palal, sin Uzajev, je popravljal proti ovinku in visokemu stolpu vprek, ki moli iznad hiše kraljeve, ki je ob dvoru jetnišnice; za njim pa Pedaja, sin Parošev.

²⁵Palal son of Uzai, from over-against the angle, and the tower that is going out from the upper house of the king that [is] at the court of the prison; after him Pedaiah son of Parosh.

²⁶And the Nethinim have been dwelling in Ophel, unto over-against the water-gate at the east, and the tower that goeth out.

²⁷Za njim so Tekojčani popravljali drugi kos zidu, nasproti visokemu stolpu, ki kvišku moli, in do zidu Ofela.

²⁷After him have the Tekoites strengthened, a second measure, from over-against the great tower that goeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel.

²⁸Od konjskih vrat gori so popravljali duhovniki vsak hiši svoji nasproti.

²⁸From above the horse-gate have the priests strengthened, each over-against his house.

²⁹Za njimi je popravljal Zadok, sin Imerjev, hiši svoji nasproti. In za njim je popravljal Semaja, sin Sekanijev, varuh Vzhodnih vrat.

²⁹After them hath Zadok son of Immer strengthened, over against his house; and after him hath Shemaiah son of Shechaniah, keeper of the east gate, strengthened.

³⁰Za njim je popravljal Hananija, sin Selemijev, in Hanun, šesti sin Zalafov, drugi kos zidu. Za njim je popravljal Mesulam, sin Berekijev, hramu svojemu nasproti.

³⁰After him hath Hananiah son of Shelemiah strengthened, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, a second measure; after him hath Meshullam son of Berechiah strengthened, over-against his chamber.

³¹Za njim je popravljal Malkija, eden od zlatarjev, do hiše Netinimcev in trgovcev, vratom Mifkadovim nasproti, in do stolpove veže na voglu.In med vežo stolpovo in Ovčjimi vrati so popravljali zlatarji in trgovci.

³¹After him hath Malchijah son of the refiner strengthened, unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over-against the gate of the Miphkad, and unto the ascent of the corner.

³²In med vežo stolpovo in Ovčjimi vrati so popravljali zlatarji in trgovci.

³²And between the ascent of the corner and the sheep-gate, have the refiners and the merchants strengthened.
