¹⁰You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.

¹⁴A razodel se je GOSPOD nad vojskami ušesom mojim: Res, ta krivica vam ne bo odpuščena, dokler ne umrete! govori Gospod, Jehova nad vojskami.

¹⁴Yahweh of Armies revealed himself in my ears, “Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.

¹⁵Tako pravi Gospod, Jehova nad vojskami: Dej, stopi k tistemu oskrbniku, Sebnu, ki gospoduje hiši, in reci:

¹⁷Glej, GOSPOD te s silo stran vrže kakor močan mož in krepko te zgrabi

¹⁷Behold, Yahweh will overcome you and hurl you away violently. Yes, he will grasp you firmly.

¹⁸in trdo te zvije v klobčič, kakor kepo te vrže v kraj prostoren; tam umreš in tam ostanejo slavni vozovi tvoji, ti sramota hiši gospodarja svojega!

¹⁸He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you shame of your lord’s house.

¹⁹Odslovim te iz službe tvoje, s stališča tvojega te zvrnejo.

¹⁹I will thrust you from your office. You will be pulled down from your station.

²⁰In zgodi se tisti dan, da pokličem hlapca svojega Eljakima, Hilkijevega sina.

²⁰It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,

²¹In oblečem ga v suknjo tvojo in ga utrdim s tvojim pasom, in tvoje gospostvo dam njemu v roke, in bode za očeta prebivalcem jeruzalemskim in hiši Judovi.

²¹and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

²²In ključ hiše Davidove položim na ramo njegovo: ko on odpre, nihče ne zapre, in ko zapre, nihče ne odpre.

²²I will lay the key of the house of David on his shoulder. He will open, and no one will shut. He will shut, and no one will open.

²³In zabijem ga kakor klin na trdnem mestu, in za časten prestol bode očetovi hiši svoji.

²⁴Nanj obesijo vso slavo očetove hiše njegove: mladike in izrastke, vsako posodico, od pitnih posod do vrčev. –Tisti dan, govori GOSPOD nad vojskami, se gane tisti klin, ki je bil zabit na trdnem mestu, in se zlomi in pade, breme pa, ki je na njem viselo, izgine; kajti GOSPOD nad vojskami je govoril.

²⁴They will hang on him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.

²⁵Tisti dan, govori GOSPOD nad vojskami, se gane tisti klin, ki je bil zabit na trdnem mestu, in se zlomi in pade, breme pa, ki je na njem viselo, izgine; kajti GOSPOD nad vojskami je govoril.

²⁵“In that day,” says Yahweh of Armies, “the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down, and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it.”
