¹Veselila se bosta puščava in samotni kraj, in radovala se bo pustinja in cvela kakor roža.

¹The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.

²Prekrasno bo cvela in se radovala v samem radovanju in petju; slava libanonska ji bo dana, lepota Karmela in Sarona. Gledali bodo slavo GOSPODOVO, lepoto Boga našega.

⁵Tedaj izpregledajo oči slepim in gluhim se odpro ušesa.

⁵Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

⁶Tedaj bo hromec skakal kakor jelen in nemega jezik bo prepeval; zakaj privrele so v puščavi vode in potoki v samoti.

⁶Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

⁷Peščeno zrcaljenje se je izpremenilo v jezero in žejna tla v vrelce vodá; v brlogu šakalov, kjer leže, bode trava s trstjem in bičjem.

⁷The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

⁸In bode tam cesta in pot, ki se bo imenovala Pot svetosti, po kateri ne bo hodil oskrunjeni, temuč bode zanje same; kdor hodi po tej poti, tudi nespametni, ne more zaiti.

⁸A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called The Holy Way. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools will not go there.

⁹Tam ne bode leva in nobena zver silovita ne pride nanjo in je ne bode najti tam; a odrešenci pojdejo po njej.In odrešenci GOSPODOVI se povrnejo ter pridejo na Sion s petjem, in večno veselje bode nad njih glavo; veselje in radost jih objame, a žalovanje in zdihovanje pobegne.

⁹No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous animal go up on it. They will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there.

¹⁰In odrešenci GOSPODOVI se povrnejo ter pridejo na Sion s petjem, in večno veselje bode nad njih glavo; veselje in radost jih objame, a žalovanje in zdihovanje pobegne.

¹⁰The Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
