¹Zvirokwazvo, mweya wangu unongorindira Mwari; Kwaari ndiko kunobva kuponeswa kwangu.

²Ndiye oga dombo rangu nomuponesi wangu; Ndiye shongwe yangu yakakwirira; handingazununguswi zvikuru.

²Only — He [is] my rock, and my salvation, My tower, I am not much moved.

³Muchavavarira munhu kusvikira rinhiko, Kuti mumuuraye imwi mose, Sorusvingo runoda kuwa, noruzhowa runotsveyama?

³Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.

⁴Vanongorangana kuti vamusundire pasi abve paukuru hwake; Vanofarira nhema; Vanoropafadza nomuromo wavo, asi vanotuka mumoyo mavo.

⁴Only — from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah.

⁵Mweya wangu, rindira Mwari zvirokwazvo nekuti ndinomutarira iye.

⁵Only — for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him [is] my hope.

⁶Ndiye oga dombo rangu noruponeso rwangu; Ndiye shongwe yangu yakakwirira; handingazununguswi.

⁶Only — He [is] my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.

⁷Kuna Mwari ndiko kunokuponeswa kwangu nokukudzwa kwangu; Dombo resimba rangu noutiziro hwangu zviri kuna Mwari.

⁷On God [is] my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge [is] in God.

⁸Vimbai naye nguva dzose, imwi vanhu; Dururai moyo yenyu pamberi pake; Mwari ndiye utiziro bwedu.

⁸Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

⁹Zvirokwazvo vanhu vasingakudzwi mweya chete, uye vanhu vanokudzwa inhema; Pakuyerwa havaremi; Vose pamwechete vakareruka kupfuura mweya.

⁹Only — vanity [are] the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity [are] lighter.

¹⁰Regai kuvimba nokumanikidza, Regai kuzvikudza pamusoro pokupambara; Kana fuma ichiwanda, regai kuinamatira nomoyo.

¹⁰Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth — when it increaseth — set not the heart.

¹¹Mwari akataura kamwechete, Ndakazvinzwa kaviri; Kuti simba nderaMwari;

¹¹Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That `strength [is] with God.`

¹²Netsitsiwo ndedzenyu, Ishe; nekuti munoitira munhu mumwe nomumwe sezvaakabata.

¹²And with Thee, O Lord, [is] kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work!
