¹Ugaro bwenyu hunodikamwa sei, imwi Jehovha wehondo!

¹To the Overseer. — `On the Gittith By sons of Korah.` — A Psalm. How beloved Thy tabernacles, Jehovah of Hosts!

²Mweya wangu unoshuva, zvirokwazvo unopanga vazhe dzaJehovha; moyo wangu nenyama yangu zvinodana kuna Mwari mupenyu.

²My soul desired, yea, it hath also been consumed, For the courts of Jehovah, My heart and my flesh cry aloud unto the living God,

³Zvirokwazvo, shiri yakazviwanira imba, Nyenganyenga yakazviwanira dendere, painoisa vana vayo, Ipo paaritari dzenyu, Jehovha wehondo, Mambo wangu, naMwari wangu.

³(Even a sparrow hath found a house, And a swallow a nest for herself, Where she hath placed her brood,) Thine altars, O Jehovah of Hosts, My king and my God.

⁴Vakaropafadzwa vanogara mumba menyu; Vachagara vachikurumbidzai.

⁴O the happiness of those inhabiting Thy house, Yet do they praise Thee. Selah.

⁵Akaropafadzwa munhu ane simba rake mamuri; Anemigwagwa inoenda Ziyoni mumoyo make.

⁵O the happiness of a man whose strength is in Thee, Highways [are] in their heart.

⁶Kana vachipfuura nomumupata wakaoma, vanouita nzvimbo inamatsime; Zvirokwazvo, mvura yomunhuruka inoufukidza nemikomborero.

⁶Those passing through a valley of weeping, A fountain do make it, Blessings also cover the director.

⁷Vanowedzera simba pasimba ravo, Mumwe nomumwe wavo anosvika pamberi paMwari paZiyoni.

⁷They go from strength unto strength, He appeareth unto God in Zion.

⁸Haiwa, Jehovha wehondo, inzwa munyengetero wangu; teererai nenzeve, Mwari waJakove.

⁸O Jehovah, God of Hosts, hear my prayer, Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

⁹Tarirai, Mwari, nhovo yedu, Muone chiso chomuzodzwa wenyu.

⁹Our shield, see, O God, And behold the face of Thine anointed,

¹⁰nekuti zuva rimwe pavazhe dzenyu rinokunda mamwe ane chiuru pakunaka. Ndinoti zviri nani kuti ndive murindi womukova mumba maMwari wangu, Pakuti ndigare pamatende avane zvakaipa.

¹⁰For good [is] a day in Thy courts, O Teacher! I have chosen rather to be at the threshold, In the house of my God, Than to dwell in tents of wickedness.

¹¹nekuti Jehovha Mwari izuva nenhovo; Jehovha achapa nyasha nokukudzwa; Hapana chinhu chakanaka chaanganyima vanofamba nokururama.

¹¹For a sun and a shield [is] Jehovah God, Grace and honour doth Jehovah give. He withholdeth not good To those walking in uprightness.

¹²Jehovha wehondo, Akaropafadzwa munhu anovimba nemi.

¹²Jehovah of Hosts! O the happiness of a man trusting in Thee.
