Psalms

11

1Ndinovimba naJehovha; Munoreva seiko kumweya wangu, muchiti, Tizira kugomo rako seshiri?
1For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;
2Nokuti, tarira, vakaipa vanobwembura uta, Vanogadzira museve wavo parukungiso, Kuti vafure anomoyo wakarurama parima.
2For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;
3Kana nheyo dzakaparadzwa, Akarurama angaiteiko?
3If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?
4Jehovha uri mutemberi yake tsvene, Iye Jehovha, chigaro chake choushe chiri kudenga; Meso ake anotarira, mafungiro ameso ake anoidza vana vavanhu.
4Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5Jehovha anoidza vakarurama; Asi mweya wake unovenga wakaipa neanomanikidza.
5Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6Achanisira misungo pamusoro pavakaipa; Moto nesuriferi nemhepo inopisa, ndiwo uchava mukombe wavo wavakagoverwa.
6Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7Nekuti Jehovha akarurama; anoda zvakarurama; Vakarurama vachaona chiso chake.
7For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face.
