¹Ndakadanidzira kwamuri, Jehovha, ndiri makadzika.

¹A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.

²Ishe inzwai inzwi rangu; Nzeve dzenyu ngadziteerere inzwi rokukumbira kwangu.

²Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

³Dai imwi Jehovha, mairangarira zvisakarurama, Ndianiko airamba amire, Ishe?

³If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

⁴Asi kukangamwirwa kuriko kwamuri, Kuti vanhu vakutyei.

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

⁵Ndinorindira Jehovha, mweya wangu unorindira; Ndinotarira shoko rake.

⁵I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

⁶Mweya wangu unorindira Ishe, Kupfuura varindi vanorindira rungwanani; Zvirokwazvo, kupfuura varindi vanorindira rungwanani.

⁶My soul [waiteth] for the Lord More than watchmen [wait] for the morning; [Yea, more than] watchmen for the morning.

⁷imwi Isiraeri, tarirai kuna Jehovha; .Sokuti kuna Jehovha kune tsitsi, Uye kwaari kunokudzikunurwa kukuru.

⁷O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.

⁸Iye achadzikunura Isiraeri Panezvisakarurama zvake zvose.

⁸And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
