1Mukadzi mumwe nemumwe akachenjera anovaka imba yake; Asi benzi rinoiputsa namaoko aro.
1The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands.
2Anofamba nokururama kwake, anotya Jehovha; Asi wakatsauka panzira dzake, anomudzidza.
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him.
3Mumuromo webenzi mune shamhu yamanyawi; Asi miromo yavakachenjera inovachengeta.
3In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4Kana pasina nzombe, chidyiro hachine chiro; Asi zvibereko zvizhinji zvinouya nesimba renzombe.
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5Chapupu, chakatendeka, hachirevi nhema; Asi chapupu chenhema chinobudisa mashoko enhema.
5A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
6Mudadi anotsvaka uchenjeri, asi hahupo; Asi zivo haitani kuwanikwa navane njere.
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
7Ibva pamberi pebenzi, nekuti haungawani miromo yezivo kwaari.
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
8Uchenjeri hwomunhu akangwara ndiko kunzwisisa nzira yake; Asi hupenzi hwamapenzi hunonyengedzera.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit.
9Chibayiro chezvivi chamapenzi chinodadira; Asi pakati pavakarurama panokufarirana.
9Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour.
10moyo mumwe nomumwe unoziva kutambudzika kwawo; Mweni haangagoverani nomufaro wawo.
10The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
11Imba yowakaipa ichaparadzwa; Asi tende rowakarurama richafara zvakanaka.
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
12Munhu anoona nzira achiti yakarurama; Asi kuguma kwayo inzira dzorufu.
12There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
13Kunyange munhu angaseka hake, moyo ungava neshungu; Kuguma komufaro ndiko kuchema.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.
14Ano moyo, anodzokera shure, achagutiswa nenzira dzake; Asi munhu akanaka achagutiswa nezvinobva maari.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself.
15Asina mano anotenda mashoko ose; Asi akangwara anongwarira mafambiro ake.
15The simple believeth every word; but the prudent [man] heedeth his going.
16Akachenjera anotya zvakashata, achizvinzvenga; Asi benzi rinamanyawi, richizvitenda.
16A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident.
17Anokurumidza kutsamwa, achaita noupenzi; Uye munhu, anofunga mano akaipa, achavengwa.
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated.
18Vasina mano vanogara nhaka yohupenzi; Asi vakangwara vachadzikwa korona yezivo.
18The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19Vakashata vanogwadama pamberi pavakanaka; Navakaipa pamasuwo avakarurama.
19The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous [man].
20Murombo anovengwa kunyange nowokwake; Asi shamwari dzavafumi izhinji.
20He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
21Anoshora wokwake, anotadza; Asi ane tsitsi navarombo, ane mufaro.
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he.
22Ko vanofunga zvakaipa havarashiki here? Asi nyasha nezvokwadi ndezvavanofunga zvakanaka
22Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
23Kubata kose kune batsiro; Asi kungotaura nemiromo kunobereka kushaiwa.
23In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
24Korona yavakachenjera ifuma yavo; Asi upenzi hwamapenzi upenzi zvahwo
24The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.
25Chapupu chakatendeka chinoponesa mweya yavanhu; Asi anoreva nhema anonyengedzera.
25A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.
26Pakutya Jehovha pane simbiso kwazvo Vana vowakadai vachava noutiziro.
26In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27Kutya Jehovha itsime roupenyu; Kuti munhu apukunyuke pamisungo yorufu.
27The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
28Ukuru hwamambo hunoonekwa pakuwanda kwavanhu; Asi kuparadzwa kwashe kuri pakushaiwa vanhu.
28In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
29Ano moyo murefu ane njere kwazvo; Asi anokurumidza kutsamwa anowedzera upenzi.
29He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30moyo wakagadzikana ndihwo upenyu hwomuviri; Asi godo rinoodza mafupa.
30A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31Anomanikidza murombo, anozvidza Muiti wake; Asi ane tsitsi nomushaiwi, anomukudza.
31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy.
32Akaipa anowiswa pasi mukutadza kwake; Asi akarurama ane tariro pakufa kwake.
32The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, [even] in his death.
33Uchenjeri hunogara pamoyo weane njere; Asi zviri mukati mamapenzi zvinozikamwa.
33Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent [man]; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known.
34Kururama kunokurisa rudzi; Asi zvivi zvinonyadzisa kurudzi rupi norupi.
34Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples.
35Mambo anofarira muranda, anoita nokuchenjera; Asi anonyadzisa achatsamwirwa naye.
35The king's favour is toward a wise servant; but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
