1Ndakafara panguva yavakati kwandiri, Hendei kumba kwaJehovha.
1{A Song of degrees. Of David.} I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.
2Tsoka dzedu dzimire Pakati pamasuwo ako, Jerusaremu;
2Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3Jerusaremu, iwe wakavakwa seguta rakasanganiswa zvakanaka;
3Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,
4Ndiko kunokwira ndudzi, ndudzi dzaJehovha, Sezvakarairwa Isiraeri, Kuti vavonge zita raJehovha.
4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.
5nekuti ndiko kwakagadzwa zvigaro zvokutonga, Zvigaro zvoushe zveimba yaDhavhidhi.
5For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6kumbirirai Jerusaremu rugare; Vanokudai, vachakomborerwa.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7Rugare ngaruve mukati mamasvingo ako, Nokufarikana mukati medzimba dzako dzoushe.
7Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.
8Nokuda kwehama dzangu neshamwari dzangu, Ndichati zvino, Rugare ngaruve mukati mako.
8For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!
9Nokuda kweimba yaJehovha Mwari wedu Ndichakutsvakira zvakanaka.
9Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
