Psalms

5

1Inzwai mashoko angu Jehovha,Rangarirai kufunga komoyo wangu.
1{To the chief Musician. Upon Nehiloth. A Psalm of David.} Give ear to my words, O Jehovah; consider my meditation.
2teererai inzwi rokuchema kwangu, imwi Mambo wangu naMwari wangu; nekuti ndinonyengetera kwamuri.
2Hearken unto the voice of my crying, my king and my God; for to thee will I pray.
3Jehovha, muchanzwa inzwi rangu mangwanani;Mangwanani ndichakurongedzerai munyengetero wangu, ndichirindira.
3Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; in the morning will I address myself to thee, and will look up.
4Nekuti hamuzi Mwari anofarira zvakaipa, munhu, akashata, haangagari nemi.
4For thou art not a ùGod that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with thee.
5Munhu anozvikudza haangamiriri pamberi penyu; Munovenga vose vanoita zvakaipa.
5Insolent fools shall not stand before thine eyes; thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6Muchaparadza anoreva nhema; Jehovha anosema munhu anoteura ropa neanonyengera.
6Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth a man of blood and deceit.
7Asi kana ndirini, ndichapinda mumba menyu nekuwanda kwevunyoro bwenyu, Ndichanamata ndakaringira kutemberi yenyu tsvene ndichikutyai.
7But as for me, in the greatness of thy loving-kindness will I enter thy house; I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness in thy fear.
8Ndifambisei, Jehovha, mukururama kwenyu nekuda kwavavengi vangu; Gadzirai nzira yenyu pamberi pangu.
8Lead me, Jehovah, in thy righteousness, because of my foes; make thy way plain before me.
9Nekuti hapana kutendeka pamiromo yavo; Mukati mavo makashata-shata; huro dzavo guva rakashama; Vanobata kumeso nerurimi rwavo.
9For there is no certainty in their mouth; their inward part is perversion, their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10Muvapei, mhosva, Jehovha ngavawe namano avo;Nokuti vakakumukirai.
10Bring guilt upon them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels: drive them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against thee.
11Asi vose vanovimba nemwi ngavafare, Ngavadanidzire nomufaro nguva dzose, nokuti imwi munovadzitira; Vose vanoda zita renyu ngavafare nemi.
11And all that trust in thee shall rejoice: for ever shall they shout joyously, and thou wilt protect them; and they that love thy name shall exult in thee.
12Nekuti mucharopafadza akarurama; imwi Jehovha, muchamukomberedza nenyasha senhovo.
12For thou, Jehovah, wilt bless the righteous [man]; with favour wilt thou surround him as [with] a shield.
