1Chakazarurwa chaJesu Kristu, Mwari chaakapa kwaari, kuti aratidze kuvaranda vake zvinhu izvo zvinofanira kukurumidza kuitika, akazvituma nemutumwa wake, ndokuratidza muranda wake Johwani,
1Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to shew to his bondmen what must shortly take place; and he signified [it], sending by his angel, to his bondman John,
2wakapupura shoko raMwari, neuchapupu hwaJesu Kristu, nezvinhu zvose zvaakaona.
2who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things that he saw.
3Wakaropafadzwa uyo unoverenga, neavo vanonzwa mashoko echiporofita ichi vachichengeta zvinhu izvo zvakanyorwa mazviri, nekuti nguva yava pedo.
3Blessed [is] he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written in it; for the time [is] near.
4Johwani; kukereke nomwe dziri paAsia: Nyasha kwamuri, nerugare zvinobva kuna iye uripo, uye wakange aripo, neuchazouya; nekumweya minomwe iri pamberi pechigaro chake cheushe;
4John to the seven assemblies which [are] in Asia: Grace to you and peace from [him] who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits which [are] before his throne;
5nekuna Jesu Kristu, chapupu chakatendeka, dangwe revakafa, mutungamiriri wemadzishe enyika. Kuna iye wakatida akatisuka kubva pazvivi zvedu muropa rake;
5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,
6akatiita madzimambo nevapristi kuna Mwari naBaba vake, kwaari ngakuve kubwinya nesimba kusvikira rinhi narinhi. Ameni.
6and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father: to him [be] the glory and the might to the ages of ages. Amen.
7Tarira, unouya pamwe nemakore, uye ziso rose richamuona, naivo vakamubaya; nemarudzi ose enyika achachema nekuda kwake. Hongu. Ameni.
7Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they which have pierced him, and all the tribes of the land shall wail because of him. Yea. Amen.
8Ini ndini Arifa naOmega, kutanga nekuguma, ndizvo zvinoreva Ishe, uripo, wakange aripo, neuchazouya, Wemasimbaose.
8I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith [the] Lord God, he who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
9Ini Johwani ndiri hama yenyuwo, uye mufambidzani pakutambudzika, nemuushe, nekutsungirira kwaJesu Kristu, ndakange ndiri pachiwi chinonzi Patimosi nekuda kweshoko raMwari nekweuchapupu hwaJesu Kristu.
9I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and patience, in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
10Ndakange ndiri muMweya nezuva raIshe, ndikanzwa shure kwangu inzwi guru, serinenge rehwamanda,
10I became in [the] Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet,
11richiti: Ndini Arifa naOmega kutanga nekupedzisira; nekuti: Zvaunoona, nyora mubhuku utumire kukereke nomwe, dziri muAsia, paEfeso, nepaSimina, nepaPegamo, nepaTiatira, nepaSadhisi, nepaFiradhefia, nepaRaodhikia.
11saying, What thou seest write in a book, and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
12Ndikatendeuka kuona inzwi rakataura neni. Zvino ndatendeuka ndakaona zvigadziko zvemwenje zvendarama zvinomwe;
12And I turned back to see the voice which spoke with me; and having turned, I saw seven golden lamps,
13nepakati pezvigadziko zvemwenje, mumwe wakaita seMwanakomana wemunhu, akafuka nguvo yakasvikira kutsoka, akazvisunga kupoteredza chifuva nebhanhire rendarama.
13and in the midst of the [seven] lamps [one] like [the] Son of man, clothed with a garment reaching to the feet, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle:
14Musoro wake nemavhudzi zvakanga zvakachena semakushe amakwai, semagada echando; uye meso ake semurazvo wemoto;
14his head and hair white like white wool, as snow; and his eyes as a flame of fire;
15uye tsoka dzake dzakafanana nendarira inopenya, sedzinenge dzakapiswa muvira; neinzwi rake senzwi remvura zhinji.
15and his feet like fine brass, as burning in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters;
16Uye wakange ane muruoko rwake rwerudyi nyeredzi nomwe; zvino mumuromo make makabuda munondo unopinza unocheka mativi maviri; uye chiso chake chaiva sezuva rinopenya musimba raro.
16and having in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword going forth; and his countenance as the sun shines in its power.
17Zvino ndakati ndichimuona, ndakawira patsoka dzake sewakafa; akaisa ruoko rwake rwerudyi pamusoro pangu achiti kwandiri: Usatya, ndini wekutanga newekupedzisira.
17And when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; *I* am the first and the last,
18naiye mupenyu; uye ndakange ndakafa, zvino tarira, ndiri mupenyu kusvikira rinhi narinhi. Ameni. Uye ndine kiyi dzegehena nedzerufu.
18and the living one: and I became dead, and behold, I am living to the ages of ages, and have the keys of death and of hades.
19Nyora zvinhu zvawaona, nezvinhu zviripo, nezvinhu zvichazovapo shure kwaizvozvi.
19Write therefore what thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to be after these.
20Chakavanzika chenyeredzi nomwe dzawaona muruoko rwangu rwerudyi, nezvigadziko zvemwenje zvinomwe zvendarama. Nyeredzi nomwe ndivo vatumwa vekereke nomwe; nezvigadziko zvemwenje zvinomwe zvawaona ndidzo kereke nomwe.
20The mystery of the seven stars which thou hast seen on my right hand, and the seven golden lamps. -- The seven stars are angels of the seven assemblies; and the seven lamps are seven assemblies.
