¹Ndipindurei kana ndichidana,Mwari wokururama kwangu;Pakumanikidzwa kwangu makandiisa pakafarikana;ndinzwirei tsitsi, munzwe munyengetero wangu.

¹Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

²Nhai vanakomana vavanhu kukudzwa kwangu kuchashandurwa kunyadziswa kusvikira rinhiko? Muchada zvisina maturo , nekutsvaka nhema kusvikira rinhi?

²You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

³Asi zivai kuti Jehovha akazvitsaurira munhu ,anomuda Jehovha uchanzwa kana ndichidana kwaari.

³But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself him who is godly: Yahweh will hear when I call to him.

⁴Ityai murege kutadza; Tauriranai nemoyo yenyu panhovo dzenyu,muti mwii.

⁴Stand in awe, and don’t sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁵Bayirai zvibayiro zvokururama, muvimbe naJehovha

⁵Offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Put your trust in Yahweh.

⁶Vazhinji variko vanoti,Ndianiko achatiratidza zvakanaka? Jehovha simudzirai pamusoro pedu chiedza chechiso chenyu.

⁶Many say, “Who will show us any good?” Yahweh, let the light of your face shine on us.

⁷makaisa mufaro mumoyo mangu,Unopfuura wavanhu kana zviyo zvavo newaini yavo zvawanzwa.

⁷You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.

⁸ndichavata pasi nerugare, ndibatwe nehope; nekuti ndimi moga Jehovha munondigarisa pakasimba.

⁸In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.
