¹Markaas waxaa soo dhowaaday gabdhihii Selaafexaad ina Heefer ina Gilecaad oo ahaa ina Maakiir ina Manaseh, oo ahaa reer Manaseh ina Yuusuf; oo magacyadii gabdhihiisiina waa kuwan: Maxlaah iyo Nocaah iyo Xoglaah iyo Milkaah iyo Tirsaah.

¹And daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh son of Joseph, draw near — and these [are] the names of his daughters, Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah —

²Oo iyana markaasay is-hor taageen Muuse, iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa, iyo amiirradii iyo shirka oo dhan, xagga iriddii teendhada shirka, oo waxay yidhaahdeen,

²and stand before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the company, at the opening of the tent of meeting, saying:

³Aabbahayo wuxuu ku dhintay cidladii, laakiinse isagu kuma uu jirin kooxdii is-urursatay oo Rabbiga geesta ka ahayd, oo kooxdii Qorax ahayd, illowse isagu wuxuu u dhintay dembi uu isagu lahaa, oo isagu wiilalna ma uu lahayn.

³`Our father died in the wilderness, and he — he was not in the midst of the company who were met together against Jehovah in the company of Korah, but for his own sin he died, and had no sons;

⁴In kastoo uusan wiilal lahayn magicii aabbahayo maxaa qabiilkiisa looga dhex baabbi'inayaa? Haddaba aabbahayo walaalihiis dhul dhaxal ah nagu dhex sii.

⁴why is the name of our father withdrawn from the midst of his family because he hath no son? give to us a possession in the midst of the brethren of our father;`

⁵Markaasaa Muuse arrintoodii keenay Rabbiga hortiisa.

⁵and Moses bringeth near their cause before Jehovah.

⁶Oo Rabbigu Muuse la hadlay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,

⁶And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

⁷Gabdhaha Selaafexaad wax qumman bay ku hadleen. Haddaba hubaal waa inaad dhul dhaxal ah aabbahood walaalihiis ka dhex siisaa, oo waa inaad iyaga aabbahood ka dhaxalsiisaa.

⁷`Rightly are the daughters of Zelophehad speaking; thou dost certainly give to them a possession of an inheritance in the midst of their father`s brethren, and hast caused to pass over the inheritance of their father to them.

⁸Oo waa inaad reer binu Israa'iil la hadashaa, oo waxaad iyaga ku tidhaahdaa, Haddii nin dhinto oo uusan wiil lahayn, markaas waa inaad gabadhiisa dhaxalsiisaan.

⁸`And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When a man dieth, and hath no son, then ye have caused his inheritance to pass over to his daughter;

⁹Oo hadduusan gabadhna lahayn, markaas waa inaad dhaxalsiisaan walaalihiis.

⁹and if he have no daughter, then ye have given his inheritance to his brethren;

¹⁰Oo hadduusan walaalo lahaynna markaas waa inaad adeerradiis dhaxalsiisaan.

¹⁰and if he have no brethren, then ye have given his inheritance to his father`s brethren;

¹¹Oo hadduusan aabbihiis walaalo lahaynna markaas waa inaad dhaxalsiisaan mid xigtadiisa ah oo isagu ha lahaado. Oo taasu qaynuun xukun ah bay u ahaan doontaa reer binu Israa'iil, sida Rabbigu Muuse ku amray.

¹¹and if his father have no brethren, then ye have given his inheritance to his relation who is near unto him of his family, and he hath possessed it;` and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a statute of judgment, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

¹²Kolkaasaa Rabbigu Muuse ku yidhi, Buurtan Cabaariim soo fuul, oo bal fiiri dalka aan reer binu Israa'iil siiyey.

¹²And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go up unto this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel;

¹³Oo markaad aragtid dabadeed dadkaagii dhintay waad ku darman doontaa, sidii walaalkaa Haaruunba ugu darmaday,

¹³and thou hast seen it, and thou hast been gathered unto thy people, also thou, as Aaron thy brother hath been gathered,

¹⁴maxaa yeelay, eraygayga baad kaga caasideen cidladii Sin markay dadka shirku dirireen ee aad aniga quduus igaga dhigi weydeen biyaha agtooda, iyagoo u jeeda. (Kuwaasu waa biyihii Meriibaah oo ku yaal Qaadeesh oo ah cidlada Sin.)

¹⁴because ye provoked My mouth in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the company — to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes;` they [are] waters of Meribah, in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin.

¹⁵Markaasaa Muuse Rabbiga la hadlay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,

¹⁵And Moses speaketh unto Jehovah, saying,

¹⁶Rabbiga ah Ilaaha ruuxyada binu-aadmiga oo dhan, ha doorto nin u taliya shirka,

¹⁶`Jehovah — God of the spirits of all flesh — appoint a man over the company,

¹⁷oo hortooda dibadda ugu baxa, oo hortooda gudaha soo gala, oo iyaga dibadda u hoggaamiya, oo gudaha soo geliya inaan shirka Rabbigu ahaan sidii ido aan idojir lahayn.

¹⁷who goeth out before them, and who cometh in before them, and who taketh them out, and who bringeth them in, and the company of Jehovah is not as sheep which have no shepherd.`

¹⁸Markaasaa Rabbigu Muuse ku yidhi, Waxaad soo waddaa Yashuuca ina Nuun oo ah nin Ruuxu ku jiro, oo gacanta dul saar isaga.

¹⁸And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Take to thee Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom [is] the Spirit, and thou hast laid thine hand upon him,

¹⁹Oo waxaad isaga soo hor taagtaa wadaadka Elecaasaar ah iyo shirka oo dhan, oo hortooda amar ku sii.

¹⁹and hast caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the company, and hast charged him before their eyes,

²⁰Oo waxaad isaga dul saartaa sharaftaadii, si shirka reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu ay isaga u addeecaan.

²⁰and hast put of thine honour upon him, so that all the company of the sons of Israel do hearken.

²¹Oo isagu waa inuu is-hor taagaa wadaadka Elecaasaar ah oo isaga wax ugu weyddiin doona xukunka Uuriimka Rabbiga hortiisa. Iyagu eraygiisay dibadda ugu bixi doonaan, oo eraygiisay gudaha ku soo geli doonaan, isaga iyo reer binu Israa'iilka isaga la jiraaba, kuwaas oo ah shirka oo dhan.

²¹`And before Eleazar the priest he standeth, and he hath asked for him by the judgment of the Lights before Jehovah; at His word they go out, and at His word they come in; he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the company.`

²²Markaasaa Muuse yeelay sidii Rabbigu ku amray, oo wuxuu soo waday Yashuuca, kolkaasuu soo hor taagay wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa iyo shirkii oo dhan.Oo gacmuhuu dul saaray, oo amar buu siiyey, sidii Rabbigu Muuse kula hadlay.

²²And Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him, and taketh Joshua, and causeth him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the company,

²³Oo gacmuhuu dul saaray, oo amar buu siiyey, sidii Rabbigu Muuse kula hadlay.

²³and layeth his hands upon him, and chargeth him, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.
