¹And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²Reer binu Israa'iil uga aargud reer Midyaan, oo taas dabadeedna dadkaagaad ku darman doontaa.

²`Execute the vengeance of the sons of Israel against the Midianites — afterwards thou art gathered unto thy people.`

³Markaasaa Muuse dadkii la hadlay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, War idinku dhexdiinna rag dagaal uga diyaariya, oo hub siiya, inay reer Midyaan ku kacaan, oo ay Rabbiga reer Midyaan uga aargudaan.

³And Moses speaketh unto the people, saying, `Be ye armed some of you for the host, and they are against Midian, to put the vengeance of Jehovah on Midian;

⁴Oo qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan waa inaad qabiil kastaba kun ka soo bixisaan oo dagaal u dirtaan.

⁴a thousand for a tribe — a thousand for a tribe, to all the tribes of Israel — ye do send to the host.`

⁵Sidaas daraaddeed kumanyaalkii reer binu Israa'iil qabiil kasta waxaa laga soo bixiyey kun nin, oo waxay ahaayeen laba iyo toban kun oo nin oo dagaal hub u sita.

⁵And there are given out of the thousands of Israel a thousand for a tribe, twelve thousand armed ones of the host;

⁶and Moses sendeth them, a thousand for a tribe, to the host, them and Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, to the host; and the holy vessels, and the trumpets of the shouting, in his hand.

⁷Oo waxay la dirireen reer Midyaan sidii Rabbigu Muuse ugu amray, oo waxay dileen mid kasta oo lab ahaa.

⁷And they war against Midian, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses, and slay every male;

⁸Oo boqorradii reer Midyaan ayay la dileen kuwii kaloo la laayay, oo shantii boqor oo reer Midyaan waxay ahaayeen Ewii, iyo Reqem, iyo Suur, iyo Xuur, iyo Rebac; oo Balcaam oo ahaa ina Becoorna seef bay ku dileen.

⁸and the kings of Midian they have slain, besides their pierced ones, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian; and Balaam son of Beor, they have slain with the sword.

⁹Oo reer binu Israa'iil waxay maxaabiis ahaan u wateen dumarkii reer Midyaan iyo dhallaankoodiiba; oo lo'doodii oo dhan, iyo idahoodii oo dhan, iyo alaabtoodii oo dhanna way wada dheceen.

⁹And the sons of Israel take captive the women of Midian, and their infants; and all their cattle, and all their substance, and all their wealth they have plundered;

¹⁰and all their cities, with their habitations, and all their towers, they have burnt with fire.

¹¹And they take all the spoil, and all the prey, among man and among beast;

¹²Oo maxaabiistii iyo boolidii iyo wixii la soo dhacay waxay u keeneen Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa iyo shirkii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan oo joogay xeradii ku tiil bannaankii Moo'aab oo Webi Urdun u dhowaa oo Yerixoo ka soo hor jeeday.

¹²and they bring in, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the company of the sons of Israel, the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto the camp, unto the plains of Moab, which [are] by Jordan, [near] Jericho.

¹³Markaasaa Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa iyo shirka amiirradiisii oo dhammu waxay u bexeen inay kaga hor tagaan xerada dibaddeeda.

¹³And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the company, go out to meet them, unto the outside of the camp,

¹⁴Markaasaa Muuse u cadhooday saraakiishii ciidanka, kuwaas oo ahaa kun-u-taliyayaashii iyo boqol-u-taliyayaashii ka yimid hawshii dagaalka.

¹⁴and Moses is wroth against the inspectors of the force, chiefs of the thousands, and chiefs of the hundreds, who are coming in from the host of the battle.

¹⁵Oo Muuse wuxuu iyagii ku yidhi, War dumarkii oo dhan miyaad badbaadiseen?

¹⁵And Moses saith unto them, `Have ye kept alive every female?

¹⁶Bal eeg, taladii Balcaam aawadeed kuwanu waxay reer Israa'iil ka dhigeen inay Rabbiga kaga xadgudbaan xaalkii Fecoor, oo sidaas daraaddeed belaayadaa uga dhex dhacday shirkii Rabbiga.

¹⁶lo, they — they have been to the sons of Israel, through the word of Balaam, to cause a trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and the plague is in the company of Jehovah.

¹⁷Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed dila dhallaanka mid kastoo lab ah, oo dila naag kastoo nin la seexatay.

¹⁷`And now, slay ye every male among the infants, yea, every woman known of man by the lying of a male ye have slain;

¹⁸Laakiinse carruurta dhaddig oo aan rag la seexan daysta.

¹⁸and all the infants among the women, who have not known the lying of a male, ye have kept alive for yourselves.

¹⁹Oo idinna xerada dibaddeeda dega intii toddoba maalmood ah. Oo ku alla kii qof dilay, iyo ku alla kii qof la dilay taabtayba, maalinta saddexaad iyo maalinta toddobaad ha isdaahiriyo, idinka iyo maxaabiistiinnuba.

¹⁹`And ye, encamp ye at the outside of the camp seven days — any who hath slain a person, and any who hath come against a pierced one, ye cleanse yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day — ye and your captives;

²⁰Oo waxaad kaloo daahirsataan dhar kasta iyo inta haragga laga sameeyey oo dhan, iyo wax kasta oo dhogor riyaad ah, iyo alaab kasta oo qoryo laga sameeyeyba.

²⁰and every garment, and every skin vessel, and every work of goats` [hair], and every wooden vessel, ye yourselves cleanse.`

²¹Oo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaana wuxuu ku yidhi raggii dagaalka u baxay, Kanu waa qaynuunkii sharciga oo Rabbigu Muuse ku amray.

²¹And Eleazar the priest saith unto the men of the host who go in to battle, `This [is] the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses:

²²Habase yeeshee dahabka, iyo lacagta, iyo naxaasta, iyo birta, iyo waxa daasadda ah, iyo waxa rasaasta ah,

²²only, the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

²³iyo wax kasta oo dab u adkaysta waa inaad dab dhex marisaan, oo markaas nadiif bay ahaan doonaan; hase ahaatee waa in lagu daahiriyaa biyaha nijaasta daahiriya, oo wixii aan dabka u adkaysanna waa inaad biyaha dhex marisaan.

²³every thing which may go into fire, ye cause to pass over through fire, and it hath been clean; only, with the water of separation it is cleansed, and all that may not go into fire, ye cause to pass over through water;

²⁴Oo dharkiinnana waa inaad maalinta toddobaad maydhaan, oo markaas daahir baad ahaanaysaan oo kolkaas dabadeed waa inaad xerada soo gashaan.

²⁴and ye have washed your garments on the seventh day, and have been clean, and afterwards ye come in unto the camp.`

²⁵Markaasaa Rabbigu Muuse la hadlay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,

²⁵And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²⁶Soo tiriya boolida la soo dhacay, dad iyo duunyaba, adiga iyo wadaadka Elecaasaar ah iyo madaxda qabiilooyinka shirka,

²⁶`Take up the sum of the prey of the captives, among man and among beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers of the company;

²⁷oo boolida laba meelood u kala qaybi, oo kala sii ragga dagaalyahanka ah ee dagaalka u baxay, iyo intii kale ee shirka oo dhan;

²⁷and thou hast halved the prey between those handling the battle who go out to the host and all the company;

²⁸oo Rabbiga canshuur uga qaad raggii dagaalka u baxay; oo shantii boqolba mid ka soo bixi dadka, iyo lo'da, iyo dameerrada, iyo idaha,

²⁸and thou hast raised a tribute to Jehovah from the men of war, who go out to the host, one body out of five hundred, of man, and of the herd, and of the asses, and of the flock;

²⁹badhkooda intaas ka qaad, oo waxaad wadaadka Elecaasaar ah u siisaa Rabbiga qurbaankiisa sare loo qaado.

²⁹from their half ye do take, and thou hast given to Eleazar the priest — the heave-offering of Jehovah.

³⁰Oo reer binu Israa'iil badhkoodana kontonkiiba mid ka soo bixi dadka, iyo lo'da, iyo dameerrada, iyo idaha, iyo xataa xoolaha oo dhan, oo waxaad siisaa reer Laawi oo haya shuqulka taambuugga Rabbiga.

³⁰`And from the sons of Israel`s half thou dost take one possession out of fifty, of man, of the herd, of the asses, and of the flock, of all the cattle, and thou hast given them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.`

³¹Markaasaa Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa waxay sameeyeen sidii Rabbigu Muuse ku amray.

³¹And Moses doth — Eleazar the priest also — as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

³²Haddaba boolidii aan lagu tirin wixii nimankii dagaalyahannada ahaa soo dhaceen waxay ahayd lix boqol iyo shan iyo toddobaatan kun oo ido ah,

³²And the prey, the residue of the spoil which the people of the host have spoiled, is of the flock six hundred thousand, and seventy thousand, and five thousand;

³³iyo laba iyo toddobaatan kun oo lo' ah,

³³and of the herd two and seventy thousand;

³⁴iyo kow iyo lixdan kun oo dameer,

³⁴and of asses one and sixty thousand;

³⁵oo dadkuna kulligiis wuxuu ahaa laba iyo soddon kun oo ah dumarkii aan rag la seexan.

³⁵and of human beings — of the women who have not known the lying of a male — all the persons [are] two and thirty thousand.

³⁶Oo badhkii ahaa kuwii dagaalka u baxay qaybtoodii waxay ahayd saddex boqol iyo toddoba iyo soddon kun iyo shan boqol oo ido ah.

³⁶And the half — the portion of those who go out into the host — the number of the flock is three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, and seven thousand and five hundred.

³⁷Oo Rabbiga canshuurtiisii idaha ka go'day waxay ahayd lix boqol iyo shan iyo toddobaatan neef.

³⁷And the tribute to Jehovah of the sheep is six hundred five and seventy;

³⁸Oo lo'duna waxay ahayd lix iyo soddon kun, oo Rabbiga canshuurtiisii ka go'dayna waxay ahayd laba iyo toddobaatan neef.

³⁸and the herd [is] six and thirty thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and seventy;

³⁹Oo dameerraduna waxay ahaayeen soddon kun iyo shan boqol, oo Rabbiga canshuurtiisii ka go'dayna waxay ahayd kow iyo lixdan neef.

³⁹and the asses [are] thirty thousand and five hundred, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] one and sixty;

⁴⁰Oo dadkuna wuxuu ahaa lix iyo toban kun, oo Rabbiga canshuurtiisii ka go'dayna waxay ahayd laba iyo soddon qof.

⁴⁰and the human beings [are] sixteen thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and thirty persons.

⁴¹Oo canshuurtii ahayd Rabbiga qurbaankiisii sare loo qaado Muuse wuxuu siiyey wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa, sidii Rabbigu Muuse ku amray.

⁴¹And Moses giveth the tribute — Jehovah`s heave-offering — to Eleazar the priest, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

⁴²Oo reer binu Israa'iil badhkoodii wuxuu Muuse gooni uga dhigay qaybtii raggii dagaallamay.

⁴²And of the sons of Israel`s half, which Moses halved from the men who war —

⁴³(Haddaba shirka badhkiisii wuxuu ahaa saddex boqol iyo toddoba iyo soddon kun iyo shan boqol oo ido ah,

⁴³and the company`s half is, of the flock three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred;

⁴⁴iyo lix iyo soddon kun oo lo' ah,

⁴⁴and of the herd six and thirty thousand;

⁴⁵iyo soddon kun iyo shan boqol oo dameerro ah,

⁴⁵and of asses thirty thousand and five hundred;

⁴⁶iyo lix iyo toban kun oo qof.)

⁴⁶and of human beings sixteen thousand —

⁴⁷Oo xataa reer binu Israa'iil badhkoodii Muuse kontonkiiba mid buu ka soo saaray dad iyo duunyaba, oo wuxuu siiyey reer Laawi oo haya shuqulkii taambuuggii Rabbiga, sidii Rabbigu Muuse ku amray.

⁴⁷Moses taketh from the sons of Israel`s half the one possession from the fifty, of man and of beast, and giveth them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

⁴⁸Markaas waxaa Muuse u yimid saraakiishii ahayd kun-u-taliyayaashii iyo boqol-u-taliyayaashii oo u sarreeyey kumanyaalkii ciidanka ahaa,

⁴⁸And the inspectors whom the thousands of the host hath, (heads of the thousands and heads of the hundreds), draw near unto Moses,

⁴⁹oo waxay Muuse ku yidhaahdeen, Annagoo addoommadaada ah waan soo tirinnay ragga dagaalyahannada ah oo aannu u talinno, oo nin qudhuhu nagama dhinna.

⁴⁹and they say unto Moses, `Thy servants have taken up the sum of the men of war who [are] with us, and not a man of us hath been missed;

⁵⁰Oo annagu waannu keennay qurbaankii Rabbiga, kaas oo ah wixii dahab ah oo nin waluba helay, kuwaasoo ah silsilado, iyo dugaagado, iyo kaatunno, iyo hilqado, iyo murriyado, inaannu naftayada Rabbiga hortiisa u kafaaro gudno.

⁵⁰and we bring near Jehovah`s offering, each that which he hath found, vessels of gold — chain, and bracelet, seal-ring, [ear]-ring, and bead — to make atonement for ourselves before Jehovah.`

⁵¹Oo Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa iyagay ka qaadeen dahabkii oo ahaa wax kasta oo laysku sharxo oo dahab laga sameeyey.

⁵¹And Moses receiveth — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from them, every made vessel,

⁵²Oo dahabkii qurbaanka sare loo qaado oo dhan oo ay kun-u-taliyayaasha iyo boqol-u-taliyayaashu Rabbiga u bixiyeen wuxuu ahaa lix iyo toban kun iyo toddoba boqol iyo konton sheqel.

⁵²and all the gold of the heave-offering which they have lifted up to Jehovah is sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from heads of the thousands, and from heads of the hundreds;

⁵³(Waayo, raggii dagaalyahannada ahaa nin waluba wuxuu qaatay wixii uu soo dhacay.)Markaasaa Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa dahabkii ka qaadeen kun-u-taliyayaashii iyo boqol-u-taliyayaashii, oo waxay soo geliyeen teendhadii shirka inuu reer binu Israa'iil Rabbiga hortiisa xusuus ugu ahaado.

⁵³(the men of the host have spoiled each for himself);

⁵⁴Markaasaa Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa dahabkii ka qaadeen kun-u-taliyayaashii iyo boqol-u-taliyayaashii, oo waxay soo geliyeen teendhadii shirka inuu reer binu Israa'iil Rabbiga hortiisa xusuus ugu ahaado.

⁵⁴and Moses taketh — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they bring it in unto the tent of meeting — a memorial for the sons of Israel before Jehovah.
