1Haddaba Daa'uud wuu gaboobay, wuuna da' weynaa, markaasuu reer binu Israa'iil boqor uga dhigay wiilkiisii Sulaymaan.
1Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

2He gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

3The Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
4Oo kuwaas afar iyo labaatan kun oo ka mid ahu waxay ahaayeen kuwo ilaaliya hawsha guriga Rabbiga, oo lix kunna waxay ahaayeen saraakiil iyo xaakinno,
4David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Yahweh; six thousand were officers and judges;
5oo afar kunna waxay ahaayeen iridjoogayaal, oo afar kunna waxay Rabbiga ku ammaani jireen alaabtii aan u sameeyey in isaga lagu ammaano ayuu Daa'uud yidhi.
5four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised Yahweh with the instruments which I made, for giving praise.”
6Oo Daa'uud wuxuu iyagii u kala qaybiyey koox koox sidii ay ahaayeen wiilashii Laawi, kuwaas oo ahaa: Gershoon, iyo Qohaad, iyo Meraarii.
6David divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7Reer Gershoon waxaa ahaa Lacdaan iyo Shimcii.
7Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
8Wiilashii Lacdaan waxay ahaayeen saddex, waana Yexii'eel oo madax ahaa, iyo Seetaam, iyo Yoo'eel.
8The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9Wiilashii Shimciina waxay ahaayeen saddex, waana Shelomood, iyo Xasii'eel, iyo Xaaraan, kuwaasu waxay ahaayeen madaxdii qolooyinkii reer Lacdaan.
9The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ households of Ladan.
10Oo waxaa wiilashii Shimcii ahaa Yaaxad, iyo Siinaa, iyo Yecuush, iyo Beriicaah. Afartaasuba waxay ahaayeen wiilashii Shimcii.
10The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
11Oo waxaa madax ahaa Yaaxad, Siisaahna wuxuu ahaa kii labaad, laakiinse Yecuush iyo Beriicaah wiilal badan ma ay lahayn, oo sidaas daraaddeed iyaga waxaa loo tiriyey isku reer.
11Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah didn’t have many sons; therefore they became a fathers’ house in one reckoning.
12Wiilashii Qohaadna waxay ahaayeen afar, waana Camraam, iyo Isehaar, iyo Xebroon iyo Cusii'eel.
12The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
13Wiilashii Camraamna waxay ahaayeen Haaruun iyo Muuse, oo Haaruun waxaa gooni looga dhigay inay isagii iyo wiilashiisuba weligood quduus ka dhigaan waxyaalaha ugu wada quduusan iyo inay Rabbiga hortiisa foox ku shidaan, oo ay u adeegaan oo ay weligoodba magiciisa ku duceeyaan.
13The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, forever, to burn incense before Yahweh, to minister to him, and to bless in his name, forever.
14Laakiinse Muuse oo ahaa nin Ilaah wiilashiisii waxaa lagu tiriyey qabiilka reer Laawi.
14But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
15Wiilashii Muusena waxay ahaayeen Gershoom iyo Eliiceser.
15The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
16Ina Gershoomna wuxuu ahaa Shebuu'eel oo madax ahaa.
16The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
17Ina Eliiceserna wuxuu ahaa Rexabyaah oo madax ahaa. Oo Eliiceser innaba wiilal kale ma lahayn, laakiinse Rexabyaah wiilashiisu aad bay u badnaayeen.
17The sons of Eliezer were: Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
18Ina Isehaarna wuxuu ahaa Shelomiid oo madax ahaa.
18The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
19Wiilashii Xebroonna waxay ahaayeen Yeriyaah oo madax ahaa, iyo Amaryaah oo ahaa kii labaad, iyo Yaxasii'eel oo ahaa kii saddexaad, iyo Yeqamcaam oo ahaa kii afraad.
19The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
20Wiilashii Cusii'eelna waxay ahaayeen Miikaah oo madax ahaa, iyo Yishiyaah oo ahaa kii labaad.
20The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief, and Isshiah the second.
21Wiilashii Meraariina waxay ahaayeen Maxlii iyo Mushii. Wiilashii Maxliina waxay ahaayeen Elecaasaar iyo Qiish.
21The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
22Oo Elecaasaarna wuxuu dhintay isagoo gabdho keliya mooyaane aan wiilal lahayn, oo waxaa gabdhihiisii guursaday reer Qiish oo ahaa ilma-adeerradood.
22Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only: and their brothers the sons of Kish took them as wives.
23Wiilashii Mushiina waxay ahaayeen saddex, waana Maxlii iyo Ceeder iyo Yereemood.
23The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24Kuwaasu waxay ahaayeen reer Laawi sidii qolooyinkoodu kala ahaayeen, waana kuwii ahaa madaxdii reeraha kuwii la tiriyey, oo magacyadooda nin nin loo tiriyey, kuwaasoo samayn jiray shuqulkii hawsha guriga Rabbiga, waana intii labaatan sannadood jirtay ama ka sii weynayd.
24These were the sons of Levi after their fathers’ houses, even the heads of the fathers’ houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of the house of Yahweh, from twenty years old and upward.
25Waayo, Daa'uud wuxuu yidhi, Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil dadkiisuu nasiyey, oo weligiis wuxuu deggan yahay Yeruusaalem.
25For David said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.
26Weliba reer Laawina mar dambe uma baahan doonaan inay qaadaan taambuugga iyo weelashiisa lagaga adeego oo dhan.
26Also the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.”
27Oo Daa'uud dardaarankiisii ayaa reer Laawi lagu tiriyey, intoodii labaatan sannadood jirtay ama ka sii weynayd.
27For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.
28Waayo, shuqulkoodu wuxuu ahaa inay reer Haaruun amarkooda ku adeegaan oo ay qabtaan hawshii guriga Rabbiga, iyo inay ka adeegaan barxadaha iyo qowladaha, iyo inay daahiriyaan waxyaalaha quduuska ah oo dhan, kaasu wuxuu ahaa shuqulka hawsha guriga Rabbiga.
28For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Yahweh, in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;
29Oo weliba waxay kala hagaajin jireen kibistii tusniinta iyo burkii laga dhigi jiray qurbaan jidhiidh ah, hadduu ahaa kibis aan khamiir lahayn ama tii digsiga lagu dubi jiray, amase tii la qoyn jiray, iyo cayn kasta oo ah qiyaas iyo miisaan,
29for the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all kinds of measure and size;
30iyo inay subax kasta u istaagaan inay Rabbiga ku mahad naqaan oo ammaanaan, oo haddana habeenkiina saasoo kalay yeeli jireen.
30and to stand every morning to thank and praise Yahweh, and likewise in the evening;
31Oo haddana waxay had iyo goor Rabbiga hortiisa ku bixin jireen qurbaanno la gubo oo dhan, waxayna bixin jireen sabtiyada, iyo markay bilaha cusubu dhashaan, iyo iidaha, waxayna u bixin jireen si waafaqsan tiradoodii qaynuunka ku qornayd,wayna ilaalin jireen teendhada shirka, iyo meesha quduuska ah, iyo reer Haaruun oo iyaga walaalahood ah, oo saasay uga adeegi jireen guriga Rabbiga.
31and to offer all burnt offerings to Yahweh, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Yahweh;
32wayna ilaalin jireen teendhada shirka, iyo meesha quduuska ah, iyo reer Haaruun oo iyaga walaalahood ah, oo saasay uga adeegi jireen guriga Rabbiga.
32and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, and the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers, for the service of the house of Yahweh.
