¹Kështu e prunë arkën e Perëndisë dhe e vendosën në mes të tabernakullit që Davidi kishte ngritur për të; pastaj ofruan olokauste dhe flijime falenderimi përpara Perëndisë.

¹And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.

²Kur Davidi mbaroi së ofruari olokaustet dhe flijimet e falenderimit, ai bekoi popullin në emër të Zotit;

²And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.

³pastaj u ndau tërë Izraelitëve, burra dhe gra, secilit prej tyre një bukë, një racion mish dhe një sasi rrushi të thatë.

³And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion [of flesh], and a cake of raisins.

⁴Pastaj vendosi përpara arkës të Zotit disa Levitë për të kryer shërbimin për të kujtuar, për të falenderuar dhe për të lëvduar Zotin, Perëndinë e Izraelit;

⁴And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Jehovah, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Jehovah, the God of Israel:

⁵Asafi, i pari, Zakaria i dyti mbas tij, pastaj Jeieli, Shemiramothi, Jehieli, Matithiahu, Eliabi, Benajahu, Obed-Edomi dhe Jejeli. Ata u binin harpave dhe qesteve, ndërsa Asafi u binte cembaleve.

⁵Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

⁶Priftërinjtë Benajah dhe Jahaziel përkundrazi i binin trombës vazhdimisht përpara arkës së besëlidhjes së Perëndisë.

⁶and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

⁷Atë ditë Davidi u besoi për herë të parë Asafit dhe vëllezërve të tij detyrën që të këndonin lëvdata Zotit.

⁷Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

⁸Kremtoni Zotin, kujtoni emrin e tij; bëjini të njohura veprat e tij midis popujve.

⁸O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples.

⁹Këndojini atij, lëvdoheni, mendoni të gjitha mrekullitë e tij.

⁹Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.

¹⁰Lëvdohuni me emrin e tij të shenjtë; u gëzofshin zemrat e të gjithë atyre që kërkojnë Zotin!

¹⁰Glory ye in his holy name; Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

¹¹Kërkoni Zotin dhe forcën e tij, kërkoni vazhdimisht fytyrën e tij!

¹¹Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.

¹²Kujtoni mrekullitë që ka bërë, çuditë e tij dhe gjykimet që kanë dalë nga goja e tij,

¹²Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

¹³ju, o stermpa të Izraelit, shërbëtorit të tij, o bij të Jakobit, të zgjedhurit e tij!

¹³O ye seed of Israel his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

¹⁴Ai është Zoti, Perëndia ynë; gjykimet e tij i gjejmë mbi të gjithë tokën.

¹⁴He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

¹⁵Mos harroni kurrë besëlidhjen e tij, fjalën e tij të urdhëruar për një mijë breza,

¹⁵Remember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

¹⁶besëlidhjen e lidhur me Abrahamin, betimin që i ka bërë Isakut,

¹⁶[The covenant] which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,

¹⁷që ia konfirmoi Jakobit si një statut dhe Izraelit si një besëlidhje të përjetshme,

¹⁷And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹⁸duke thënë: "Unë do t'ju jap vendin e Kanaanit si pjesë e trashëgimisë suaj".

¹⁸Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;

¹⁹kur nuk ishin veçse një numër i vogël, fare i pakët dhe të huaj në vend.

¹⁹When ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it;

²⁰Kur shkonin nga një komb në një tjetër, nga një mbretëri në një popull tjetër,

²⁰And they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.

²¹ai nuk lejoi që ndokush t'i shtypte; përkundrazi dënoi disa mbretër për dashurinë që ushqente për ta,

²¹He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

²²duke thënë: "Mos prekni të vajosurit e mi dhe mos u bëni asnjë të keqe profetëve të mi".

²²[Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.

²³Këndojini Zotit, o banorë të të gjithë tokës, lajmëroni çdo ditë shpëtimin e tij!

²³Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

²⁴Shpallni lavdinë e tij midis kombeve dhe mrekullitë e tij midis tërë popujve!

²⁴Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

²⁵Sepse Zoti është i madh dhe i denjë të lëvdohet në kulm; ai është me friksuësi nga tërë perënditë.

²⁵For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

²⁶Sepse tërë perënditë e kombeve janë idhuj, kurse Zoti ka krijuar qiejtë.

²⁶For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens.

²⁷Shkëlqimi dhe madhëria janë para tij, forca dhe gëzimi ndodhen në banesën e tij.

²⁷Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.

²⁸Jepini Zotit, o familje të popujve, jepini Zotit lavdi dhe forcë.

²⁸Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength;

²⁹Jepini Zotit zulmin që i takon emrit të tij, çojini oferta dhe ejani para tij. Bini përmbys para Zotit në shkëlqimin e shenjtërisë së tij;

²⁹Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array.

³⁰dridhuni para tij, o banorë të të gjithë tokës! Po, bota është e qëndrueshme dhe nuk do të tundet.

³⁰Tremble before him, all the earth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved.

³¹Le të gëzohen qiejtë dhe toka, dhe le të thonë kombet: "Zoti mbretëron".

³¹Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth.

³²Le të gjëmojë deti dhe tërë ato që janë në të;

³²Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein;

³³atëherë tërë drurët e pyllit do të lëshojnë britma gëzimi përpara Zotit, sepse ai vjen të gjykojë tokën.

³³Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.

³⁴Kremtoni Zotin, sepse ai është i mirë, sepse mirësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.

³⁴O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

³⁵Thoni: "Shpëtona, o Perëndi i shpëtimit tonë! Na mblidh dhe na çliro nga kombet, me qëllim që të kremtojmë emrin tënd të shenjtë dhe të mburremi se të kemi lëvduar".

³⁵And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

³⁶I bekuar qoftë Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit, nga amshimi në amshim! Dhe tërë populli tha: "Amen", dhe lëvdoi Zotin.

³⁶Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.

³⁷Kështu Davidi la Asafin dhe vëllezërit e tij atje përpara arkës së besëlidhjes të Zotit, me qëllim që të shërbenin vazhdimisht përpara arkës, sipas nevojave të çdo dite,

³⁷So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required;

³⁸la edhe Obed-Edomin dhe të gjashtëdhjetë e tetë vëllezërit e tij (Obed-Edomi, bir i Jeduthunit dhe Hosahu si derëtarë),

³⁸and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

³⁹dhe priftin Tsadok dhe priftërinjtë vëllezër të tij përpara tabernakullit të Zotit, në vendin e lartë që ishte në Gabaon,

³⁹and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,

⁴⁰me qëllim që ata t'i ofronin Zotit olokauste mbi altarin e olokausteve, vazhdimisht në mëngjes e në mbrëmje, sipas tërë atyre që janë shkruar në ligjin e Zotit, që ai ia kishte imponuar Izraelit.

⁴⁰to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;

⁴¹Dhe me ta ishin Hemani, Jeduthuni dhe të tjerët që ishin zgjedhur dhe caktuar me emër për të lëvduar Zotin, sepse mirësia e tij është e përjetshme.

⁴¹and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever;

⁴²Me ta ishin gjithashtu Hemani dhe Jeduthuni me bori dhe cembale, për ata që do t'u binin veglave, dhe me vegla muzikore për të shoqëruar këngët e Perëndisë. Bijtë e Jeduthunit duhet të rrinin te porta.

⁴²and with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

⁴³Më në fund tërë populli u kthye, secili në shtëpinë e vet, dhe Davidi u kthye për të bekuar shtëpinë e vet.

⁴³And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
