¹Nga vënde të thella unë të këllthas ty, o Zot.

¹A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.

²O Zot, dëgjo klithmën time; veshët e tu dëgjofshin me vëmendje zërin e lutjeve të mia.

²Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

³Në rast se ti do të merrje parasysh fajet, o Zot, kush mund të rezistonte, o Zot?

³If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

⁴Por te ti ka falje, me qëllim që të kenë frikë prej teje.

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

⁵Unë pres Zotin, shpirti im e pret; unë kam shpresë në fjalën e tij.

⁵I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

⁶Shpirti im pret Zotin, më tepër se rojet mëngjesin; po, më tepër se rojet mëngjesin.

⁶My soul [waiteth] for the Lord More than watchmen [wait] for the morning; [Yea, more than] watchmen for the morning.

⁷O Izrael, mbaj shpresa tek Zoti, sepse pranë tij ka dhemshuri dhe shpëtim të plotë.

⁷O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.

⁸Ai do ta çlirojë Izraelin nga të gjitha paudhësitë e tij.

⁸And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
