Titus

1

1 Ay Bulos, ay ya Irikoy bannya nda Yesu Almasihu diya no Irikoy suubanantey cimbeero se da cimo bayra se kaŋ ga to da boro Irikoy ganayaŋ do.
1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
2 Woodin yaŋ go fundi hal abada beeja ra. Irikoy kaŋ si taari, a n'a alkawlo sambu za zamaney kulu mana te.
2in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began;
3 A na nga sanno bangandi mo a alwaato ra, waazuyaŋo kaŋ a talfi ay gaa do iri Faabakwa Irikoy lordo boŋ.
3but in his own time revealed his word in the message with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior;
4 Ay, Bulos, go ga hantum Titos se, ay izo no da cimi cimbeero ra kaŋ g'iri boro hinka kulu margu. Gomni nda laakal kanay ma bara ni banda kaŋ yaŋ ga fun Baaba Irikoy d'iri Faabakwa Almasihu Yesu do.
4to Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
5I left you in Crete for this reason, that you would set in order the things that were lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you;
6if anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of loose or unruly behavior.
7 Zama jine boro, za kaŋ a ga te jine funa Irikoy goyo boŋ, tilas kal a ma bara boro kaŋ i si jance. A ma si ciya boŋ sando, wala boro kaŋ ga waasu ka te bine, wala baji boobo hanko, wala yanjekaari, wala mo boro kaŋ ga riiba ziibo bini.
7For the overseer must be blameless, as God’s steward; not self-pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for dishonest gain;
8 Amma a ma ciya yaw gaayko, a ma ciya mo boro kaŋ ga ba ihanno teeyaŋ. A ma ciya laakalkooni, adilitaraykoy, boro kaŋ ga Irikoy gana nda cimi, boŋ hinko.
8but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober minded, fair, holy, self-controlled;
9 A ma gaabu sanni naanaykoyo gaa kaŋ ga saba nda dondonandiyaŋo kaŋ a du, hal a ma du ka borey yaamar da dondonandiyaŋ cimi-cimo, ka hin borey kaŋ ga gaaba nd'a mo.
9holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict those who contradict him.
10 Zama boro boobo go no kaŋ murtanteyaŋ no, sanni kaŋ sinda nafa salankoyaŋ no, fafagukoyaŋ mo no, sanku fa borey kaŋ go dambanguyaŋ* borey do haray.
10For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
11 A ga hima i m'i meyey daabu, zama i ga dira no windi ka kaa windi ka borey laakaley tunandi.
11whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain’s sake.
12 I ra boro fo, kaŋ ngey bumbo wane annabi* no ka ci ka ne: «Karita borey ya tangarikomyaŋ no alwaati kulu. Ganji ham futoyaŋ no, ŋwaari boobo ŋwaakoyaŋ no kaŋ yaŋ ga hawfun mo.»
12One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons.”
13 Seeda din kaŋ a te mo, cimi no. Woodin sabbay se binde, ni ma deeni i gaa da deeniyaŋ konno, hal i ma te gaabi cimbeeri fonda ra.
13This testimony is true. For this cause, reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
14not paying attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
Amma i laakaley d'i bine lasaabey kulu ga ziibi no.
15To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
16 I goono ga ne ngey ga Irikoy bay, amma i goyey do no i goono g'a ze. Fanta hariyaŋ no, murtanteyaŋ, kaŋ yaŋ si hin ka goy hanno kulu te.
16They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.
