1{To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:
2HERRE, du var förr ditt land nådig, du upprättade åter Jakobs hus.
2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
3Du förlät ditt folks missgärning, du överskylde all dess synd. Sela.
3Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.
4Du lät all din förgrymmelse fara och vände dig ifrån din vredes glöd.
4Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.
5Så vänd dig nu åter till oss, du vår frälsnings Gud, och upphör med din förtörnelse mot oss.
5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?
6Vill du då vredgas på oss evinnerligen och låta din vrede vara från släkte till släkte?
6Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7Vill du icke åter giva oss liv, så att ditt folk får glädjas i dig?
7Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.
8HERRE, låt oss se din nåd, och giv oss din frälsning.
8I will hear what ùGod, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.
9Jag vill höra vad Gud, HERREN, talar: se, han talar frid till sitt folk och till sina fromma; må de blott icke vända åter till dårskap.
9Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
10Ja, hans frälsning är nära dem som frukta honom, och så skall ära bo i vårt land.
10Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:
11Godhet och trofasthet skola där mötas, rättfärdighet och frid kyssas;
11Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.
12trofasthet skall växa upp ur jorden och rättfärdighet blicka ned från himmelen.
12Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.
13HERREN skall giva oss vad gott är, och vårt land skall giva sin gröda.
13Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.
14Rättfärdighet skall gå framför honom, den skall ock stadigt följa i hans spår.
