3From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Yahweh’s name is to be praised.
4HERREN är hög över alla folk, hans ära når över himmelen.
4Yahweh is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.
5Ja, vem är såsom HERREN, vår Gud, han som sitter så högt,
5Who is like Yahweh, our God, who has his seat on high,
6han som ser ned så djupt -- ja, vem i himmelen och på jorden?
6Who stoops down to see in heaven and in the earth?
7Han som upprättar den ringe ur stoftet, han som lyfter den fattige ur dyn,
7He raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap;
8för att sätta honom bredvid furstar, bredvid sitt folks furstar;
8that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9han som låter den ofruktsamma hustrun sitta med glädje såsom moder, omgiven av barn! Halleluja!
