¹So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience.

²Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

³யூதா புத்திரரிலும், பென்யமீன் புத்திரரிலும், எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே என்பவர்களின் புத்திரரிலும், எருசலேமில் குடியிருந்தவர்கள் யாரென்றால்,

³In Jerusalem lived of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

⁴யூதாவின் புத்திரனாகிய பேரேசின் சந்ததியில் பானியின் குமாரனாகிய இம்ரியின் மகனான உம்ரிக்குப் பிறந்த அம்மியூதின் குமாரன் ஊத்தாய்.

⁴Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

⁵சேலாவின் சந்ததியில் மூத்தவனாகிய அசாயாவும், அவன் பிள்ளைகளும்,

⁵Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

⁶சேராவின் சந்ததியில் யெகுவேலும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய அறுநூற்றுத்தொண்ணூறுபேருமே.

⁶Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers, six hundred ninety.

⁷பென்யமீன் புத்திரரில் அசெனூவாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஓதாவியாவுக்குப் பிறந்த மெசுல்லாமின் மகன் சல்லு.

⁷Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,

⁸எரோகாமின் குமாரன் இப்னெயா; மிக்கிரியின் குமாரனாகிய ஊசியின் மகன் ஏலா; இப்னியாவின் குமாரனாகிய ரேகுவேலுக்குப் பிறந்த செபதியாவின் மகன் மெசுல்லாம் என்பவர்களும்;

⁸and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

⁹தங்கள் சந்ததிகளின்படி இருந்த இவர்கள் சகோதரராகிய தொளாயிரத்து ஐம்பத்தாறுபேருமே; இந்த மனுஷர் எல்லாரும், தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்திலே பிதாக்களின் தலைவராயிருந்தார்கள்.

⁹and their brothers, according to their generations, nine hundred fifty-six. All these men were heads of fathers’ households by their fathers’ houses.

¹⁰Of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, Jachin,

¹¹அகிதூபின் குமாரனாகிய மெராயோதின் மகன் சாதோக்குக்குப் பிறந்த மெசுல்லாவின் குமாரனாகிய இல்க்கியாவின் மகன் அசரியா என்பவன் தேவாலயத்து விசாரணைக்கர்த்தன்.

¹¹and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house;

¹²மல்கியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பஸ்கூருக்குப் பிறந்த எரோகாமின் மகன் அதாயா; இம்மெரின் குமாரனாகிய மெசில்லேமித்தின் மகன் மெசுல்லாமுக்குப் பிறந்த யாசெராவின் குமாரனாகிய ஆதியேலின் மகன் மாசாய் என்பவர்களும்,

¹²and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

¹³அவர்கள் சகோதரரும், தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தலைவரான ஆயிரத்து எழுநூற்று அறுபதுபேர் தேவாலயத்துக்கடுத்த பணிவிடைக்குத் திறமையுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தார்கள்.

¹³and their brothers, heads of their fathers’ houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty; very able men for the work of the service of God’s house.

¹⁴லேவியரில் மெராரியின் சந்ததியான அசபியாவின் குமாரனாகிய அஸ்ரீகாமுக்குப் பிறந்த அசூபின் மகன் செமாயா,

¹⁴Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

¹⁵பக்பக்கார், ஏரேஸ், காலால், ஆசாபின் குமாரனாகிய சிக்ரிக்குப் பிறந்த மிகாவின் மகன் மத்தனியா,

¹⁵and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph,

¹⁶எதுத்தூனின் குமாரனாகிய காலாலுக்குப் பிறந்த செமாயாவின் மகன் ஒபதியா; நெத்தோபாத்தியரின் கிராமங்களில் குடியிருந்த எல்க்கானாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஆசாவின் மகன் பெரகியா,

¹⁶and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

¹⁷வாசல் காவலாளிகளாகிய சல்லூம், அக்கூப், தல்மோன், அகிமான் என்பவர்களும், இவர்கள் சகோதரருமே; இவர்கள் தலைவன் சல்லூம்.

¹⁷The porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief),

¹⁸லேவி புத்திரரின் சேனைகளில் இவர்கள் கிழக்கேயிருக்கிற ராஜாவின் வாசலைக் காவல் காத்துவந்தார்கள்.

¹⁸who previously served in the king’s gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

¹⁹கோராகின் குமாரனாகிய எபியாசாபுக்குப் பிறந்த கோரேயின் மகன் சல்லூமும், அவன் பிதாவின் வம்சத்தாராகிய அவனுடைய சகோதரருமான கோராகியர் பணிவிடைவேலையை விசாரித்து, அவர்கள் பிதாக்கள் கர்த்தருடைய பாளயத்திலே வாசஸ்தலத்திற்குப்போகிற வழியைக் காவல்காத்ததுபோல, வாசஸ்தலத்து வாசல்களைக் காத்துவந்தார்கள்.

¹⁹Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entry.

²⁰எலெயாசாரின் குமாரனாகிய பினேகாசுடனே கர்த்தர் இருந்தபடியினால், அவன் முற்காலத்திலே அவர்கள்மேல் விசாரணைக்காரனாயிருந்தான்.

²⁰Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him.

²¹மெசெல்மியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சகரியா ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசல் காவல்காரனாயிருந்தான்.

²¹Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the Tent of Meeting.

²²வாசல்களைக் காக்கிறதற்குத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட இவர்களெல்லாரும் இருநூற்றுப் பன்னிரண்டுபேராயிருந்து, தங்கள் கிராமங்களின்படியே தங்கள் வம்சத்து அட்டவணைகளில் எழுதப்பட்டார்கள்; தாவீதும், ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரனாகிய சாமுவேலும், அவர்களைத் தங்கள் வேலைகளில் வைத்தார்கள்.

²²All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust.

²³அப்படியே அவர்களும், அவர்கள் குமாரரும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமாகிய வாசஸ்தலத்து வாசல்களைக் காக்கிறவர்களை முறைமுறையாய் விசாரித்து வந்தார்கள்.

²³So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of Yahweh, even the house of the tent, by wards.

²⁴வாசல்களைக் காக்கிறவர்கள் நாலு திசைகளாகிய கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலும் இருந்தார்கள்.

²⁴On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

²⁵அவர்கள் சகோதரர் தங்கள் கிராமங்களிலிருந்து, ஏழுநாளுக்கு ஒருவிசை மாறிமாறி அவர்களோடிருக்க வருவார்கள்.

²⁵Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them:

²⁶for the four chief porters, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.

²⁷They lodged around God’s house, because that duty was on them; and to them pertained its opening morning by morning.

²⁸Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service; for by count were these brought in and by count were these taken out.

²⁹அவர்களில் சிலர் மற்றப் பணிமுட்டுகளின்மேலும், பரிசுத்த பாத்திரங்கள் எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும், மெல்லிய மா, திராட்சரசம், எண்ணெய், சாம்பிராணி, சுகந்தவர்க்கங்களின்மேலும் விசாரணைக்காரராயிருந்தார்கள்.

²⁹Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

³⁰ஆசாரியரின் குமாரரில் சிலர் சுகந்தவர்க்கத்தால் பரிமளதைலம் இறக்குவார்கள்.

³⁰Some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices.

³¹லேவியரில் கோராகியனான சல்லூமின் மூத்த குமாரனாகிய மத்தித்தியாவுக்குப் பலகாரம் சுடுகிற வேலையின் விசாரிப்பு ஒப்புவித்திருந்தது.

³¹Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.

³²அவர்கள் சகோதரராகிய கோகாத்தியரின் புத்திரரில் சிலருக்கு ஓய்வுநாள்தோறும் சமுகத்து அப்பங்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தும் விசாரிப்பு இருந்தது.

³²Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

³³இவர்களில் லேவியருடைய பிதாக்களின் தலைவராகிய சங்கீதக்காரர் இரவும் பகலும் தங்கள் வேலையை நடத்தவேண்டியதிருந்தபடியினால், மற்ற வேலைக்கு நீங்கலாகித் தங்கள் அறைகளில் இருந்தார்கள்.

³³These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night.

³⁴லேவியரில் பிதாக்களின் தலைவராகிய இவர்கள் தங்கள் சந்ததிகளுக்குத் தலைமையானவர்கள்; இவர்கள் எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

³⁴These were heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men: these lived at Jerusalem.

³⁵கிபியோனிலே குடியிருந்தவர்கள் யாரென்றால், கிபியோனின் மூப்பனாகிய யெகியேல், இவன் பெண்ஜாதியின் பேர் மாக்காள்.

³⁵In Gibeon there lived the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife’s name was Maacah:

³⁶அவன் மூத்த குமாரனாகிய அப்தோனும், சூர், கீஸ், பாகால், நேர், நாதாப்,

³⁶and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

³⁷கேதோர், அகியோ, சகரியா, மிக்லோத் என்பவர்களுமே.

³⁷and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

³⁸மிக்லோத் சீமியாமைப் பெற்றான்; இவர்களும் தங்கள் சகோதரரோடுங்கூட எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற தங்கள் சகோதரருக்குச் சமீபத்தில் குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

³⁸Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their brothers in Jerusalem, over against their brothers.

³⁹நேர் கீசைப் பெற்றான்; கீஸ் சவுலைப் பெற்றான்; சவுல் யோனத்தானையும், மல்கிசுவாவையும், அபினதாபையும், எஸ்பாலையும் பெற்றான்.

³⁹Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Saul; and Saul became the father of Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

⁴⁰யோனத்தானின் குமாரன் மெரிபால்; மெரிபால் மீகாவைப் பெற்றான்.

⁴⁰The son of Jonathan was Merib Baal; and Merib Baal became the father of Micah.

⁴¹மீகாவின் குமாரர், பித்தோன், மேலேக், தரேயா, ஆகாஸ் என்பவர்கள்.

⁴¹The sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.

⁴²ஆகாஸ் யாராகைப் பெற்றான்; யாராக் அலெமேத்தையும், அஸ்மவேத்தையும், சிம்ரியையும் பெற்றான்; சிம்ரி மோசாவைப் பெற்றான்.

⁴²Ahaz became the father of Jarah; and Jarah became the father of Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza;

⁴³மோசா பினியாவைப் பெற்றான்; இவன் குமாரன் ரப்பாயா; இவன் குமாரன் எலியாசா; இவன் குமாரன் ஆத்சேல்.

⁴³and Moza became the father of Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

⁴⁴ஆத்சேலுக்கு ஆறு குமாரர் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் நாமங்களாவன, அசரீக்காம், பொக்குரு, இஸ்மவேல், சேராயா, ஒபதியா, ஆனான், இவர்கள் ஆத்சேலின் குமாரர்.

⁴⁴Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
