1தேவன் நமக்கு அடைக்கலமும் பெலனும், ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அனுகூலமான துணையுமானவர்.
1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2ஆகையால் பூமி நிலைமாறினாலும், மலைகள் நடுச்சமுத்திரத்தில் சாய்ந்துபோனாலும்,
2Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
3அதின் ஜலங்கள் கொந்தளித்துப் பொங்கி, அதின் பெருக்கினால் பர்வதங்கள் அதிர்ந்தாலும், நாம் பயப்படோம். (சேலா)
3though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.
4ஒரு நதியுண்டு, அதின் நீர்க்கால்கள் தேவனுடைய நகரத்தையும், உன்னதமானவர் வாசம்பண்ணும் பரிசுத்தஸ்தலத்தையும் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கும்.
4There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.
5தேவன் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறார், அது அசையாது; அதிகாலையிலே தேவன் அதற்குச் சகாயம் பண்ணுவார்.
5God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.
6ஜாதிகள் கொந்தளித்தது, ராஜ்யங்கள் தத்தளித்தது; அவர் தமது சத்தத்தை முழங்கப்பண்ணினார், பூமி உருகிப்போயிற்று.

8பூமியிலே பாழ்க்கடிப்புகளை நடப்பிக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய செய்கைகளை வந்துபாருங்கள்.
8Come, see Yahweh’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth.
9அவர் பூமியின் கடைமுனைமட்டும் யுத்தங்களை ஓயப்பண்ணுகிறார்; வில்லை ஒடித்து, ஈட்டியை முறிக்கிறார்; இரதங்களை நெருப்பினால் சுட்டெரிக்கிறார்.
9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.
10நீங்கள் அமர்ந்திருந்து, நானே தேவனென்று அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே உயர்ந்திருப்பேன், பூமியிலே உயர்ந்திருப்பேன்.
10“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”
