¹ต่อมาที่เมืองอิโคนียูม เปาโลกับบารนาบัสได้เข้าไปในธรรมศาลาของพวกยิว กล่าวสั่งสอนเป็นที่จับใจจนพวกยิวและชนชาติกรีกเป็นอันมากได้เชื่อถือ

¹It happened in Iconium that they entered together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of Jews and of Greeks believed.

²แต่พวกยิวที่ไม่เชื่อก็ยุยงคนต่างชาติให้มีใจคิดร้ายต่อพวกพี่น้อง

²But the disbelieving or, disobedient Jews stirred up and embittered the souls of the Gentiles against the brothers.

³เหตุฉะนั้นฝ่ายท่านทั้งสองคอยอยู่ที่นั่นนาน มีใจกล้ากล่าวในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และพระองค์ได้ทรงรับรองพระคำแห่งพระคุณของพระองค์ โดยทรงโปรดให้ท่านทั้งสองทำหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ได้

³Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴แต่พลเมืองส่วนใหญ่แตกเป็นสองพวก พวกหนึ่งอยู่ฝ่ายพวกยิว และอีกพวกหนึ่งอยู่ฝ่ายอัครสาวก

⁴But the multitude of the city was divided. Part sided with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵เมื่อทั้งคนต่างชาติและพวกยิวพร้อมกับพวกผู้ปกครอง ได้ร่วมคิดกันจะทำการอัปยศ และเอาก้อนหินขว้างเปาโลกับบารนาบัส

⁵When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,

⁶ท่านทั้งสองทราบแล้วจึงหนีไปยังเมืองที่อยู่ในแคว้นลิคาโอเนีย คือเมืองลิสตรา เมืองเดอร์บี กับชนบทที่อยู่ล้อมรอบ

⁶they became aware of it, and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.

⁷และได้ประกาศข่าวประเสริฐที่นั่น

⁷There they preached the Good News.

⁸ที่เมืองลิสตรามีชายคนหนึ่งนั่งอยู่ใช้เท้าไม่ได้ เขาพิการตั้งแต่ครรภ์มารดา ยังไม่เคยเดินเลย

⁸At Lystra a certain man sat, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked.

⁹คนนั้นได้ฟังเปาโลพูดอยู่ เปาโลจึงเขม้นดูเขา เห็นว่ามีความเชื่อพอจะหายโรคได้

⁹He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him, and seeing that he had faith to be made whole,

¹⁰จึงร้องสั่งด้วยเสียงอันดังว่า "จงลุกขึ้นยืนตรง" คนนั้นก็กระโดดขึ้นเดินไป

¹⁰said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” He leaped up and walked.

¹¹เมื่อหมู่ชนเห็นการซึ่งเปาโลได้กระทำนั้น จึงพากันร้องเป็นภาษาลิคาโอเนียว่า "พวกพระแปลงเป็นมนุษย์ลงมาหาเราแล้ว"

¹¹When the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of Lycaonia, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”

¹²เขาจึงเรียกบารนาบัสว่า พระซุส และเรียกเปาโลว่า พระเฮอร์เมส เพราะเปาโลเป็นผู้นำในการพูด

¹²They called Barnabas “Jupiter,” and Paul “Mercury,” because he was the chief speaker.

¹³ปุโรหิตประจำรูปพระซุส ซึ่งตั้งอยู่หน้าเมืองได้จูงวัวและถือพวงมาลัยมายังประตูเมือง หมายจะถวายเครื่องบูชาด้วยกันกับประชาชน

¹³The priest of Jupiter, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have made a sacrifice along with the multitudes.

¹⁴แต่เมื่ออัครสาวกบารนาบัสกับเปาโลได้ยินดังนั้น จึงฉีกเสื้อผ้าของตนเสีย วิ่งเข้าไปท่ามกลางคนทั้งหลายร้องเสียงดัง

¹⁴But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of it, they tore their clothes, and sprang into the multitude, crying out,

¹⁵ว่า "ท่านทั้งหลาย เหตุไฉนท่านจึงทำการอย่างนี้ เราเป็นคนธรรมดาเช่นเดียวกันกับท่านทั้งหลาย และมาประกาศให้ท่านกลับจากสิ่งไร้ประโยชน์เหล่านี้ ให้มาหาพระเจ้าผู้ทรงพระชนม์ ผู้ได้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก ทะเลและสิ่งสารพัดซึ่งมีอยู่ในที่เหล่านั้น

¹⁵“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them;

¹⁶ในกาลก่อนพระองค์ได้ทรงยอมให้บรรดาประชาชาติประพฤติตามชอบใจ

¹⁶who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.

¹⁷แต่พระองค์มิได้ทรงให้ขาดพยาน คือพระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำคุณให้ฝนตกจากฟ้าและให้มีฤดูเกิดผล เราทั้งหลายจึงอิ่มใจด้วยอาหารและความยินดี"

¹⁷Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you TR reads “us” instead of “you” rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

¹⁸ถึงแม้ว่าได้กล่าวสิ่งนี้แล้วก็ดี อัครสาวกก็ยังห้ามประชาชนมิให้เขากระทำสักการบูชาถวายแก่ท่านทั้งสองนั้นได้โดยยาก

¹⁸Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes from making a sacrifice to them.

¹⁹แต่มีพวกยิวบางคนมาจากเมืองอันทิโอกและเมืองอิโคนียูม เมื่อได้ชักชวนประชาชนแล้ว เขาก็ได้เอาหินขว้างเปาโลและลากท่านออกไปจากเมืองคิดว่าท่านตายแล้ว

¹⁹But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

²⁰แต่พวกสาวกได้ล้อมท่านไว้แล้วท่านก็ลุกขึ้นเข้าไปในเมือง วันรุ่งขึ้นท่านจึงเลยไปยังเมืองเดอร์บีกับบารนาบัส

²⁰But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.

²¹และเมื่อท่านทั้งสองได้ประกาศข่าวประเสริฐในเมืองนั้น และได้สั่งสอนคนเป็นอันมาก จึงกลับไปยังเมืองลิสตรา เมืองอิโคนียูม และเมืองอันทิโอกอีก

²¹When they had preached the Good News to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,

²²กระทำให้ใจของสาวกทั้งหลายถือมั่นขึ้น เตือนเขาให้ดำรงอยู่ในความเชื่อ และสอนว่า เราทั้งหลายจำต้องทนความยากลำบากมากจนกว่าจะได้เข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า

²²confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into the Kingdom of God.

²³เมื่อท่านทั้งสองได้เลือกตั้งผู้ปกครองสาวกไว้ทุกคริสตจักร และได้อธิษฐานและถืออดอาหารฝากสาวกไว้กับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าที่เขาเชื่อถือนั้น

²³When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

²⁴และหลังจากท่านทั้งสองได้ข้ามแคว้นปิสิเดียก็มายังแคว้นปัมฟีเลีย

²⁴They passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia.

²⁵เมื่อได้กล่าวพระวจนะในเมืองเปอร์กาแล้ว จึงลงไปยังเมืองอัททาลิยา

²⁵When they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.

²⁶และแล่นจากที่นั่นไปยังเมืองอันทิโอก คือเมืองที่ท่านทั้งสองได้รับการฝากไว้ในพระคุณของพระเจ้า ให้กระทำการซึ่งท่านทั้งสองได้กระทำสำเร็จมาแล้วนั้น

²⁶From there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.

²⁷เมื่อมาถึง ท่านทั้งสองได้เรียกประชุมคริสตจักร และได้เล่าให้เขาฟังถึงพระราชกิจทั้งปวงซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงกระทำร่วมกับเขา กับซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงเปิดประตูให้คนต่างชาติเชื่อ

²⁷When they had arrived, and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.

²⁸แล้วท่านทั้งสองจึงอยู่กับพวกสาวกที่นั่นช้านาน

²⁸They stayed there with the disciples for a long time.
