¹"อย่านำเรื่องเท็จไปเล่าต่อๆกัน อย่าร่วมมือเป็นพยานใส่ร้ายกับคนชั่ว

¹“You shall not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.

²อย่าทำชั่วตามอย่างคนจำนวนมากที่เขาทำกันนั้นเลย อย่าอ้างพยานลำเอียงเข้าข้างหมู่มาก จะทำให้ขาดความยุติธรรมไป

²“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice;

³ทั้งอย่าลำเอียงเข้าข้างคนจนในคดีของเขา

³neither shall you favor a poor man in his cause.

⁴ถ้าเจ้าพบวัวหรือลาของศัตรูหลงมา จงพาไปส่งคืนให้เจ้าของจงได้

⁴“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.

⁵ถ้าเห็นลาของผู้ที่เกลียดชังเจ้าล้มลงเพราะบรรทุกของหนัก อย่าได้เมินเฉยเสีย จงช่วยเขายกมันขึ้น

⁵If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him, you shall surely help him with it.

⁶เจ้าอย่าบิดเบือนคำพิพากษาให้ผิดไปจากความยุติธรรมที่คนจนควรได้รับในคดีของเขา

⁶“You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.

⁷เจ้าจงหลีกให้ห่างไกลจากการใส่ความคนอื่น อย่าประหารชีวิตคนที่ปราศจากความผิดและคนชอบธรรม เพราะเราจะไม่ยกโทษให้คนชั่ว

⁷“Keep far from a false charge, and don’t kill the innocent and righteous: for I will not justify the wicked.

⁸อย่ารับสินบนเลย เพราะว่าสินบนทำให้คนตาดีกลายเป็นคนตาบอดไป และพลิกคดีของคนชอบธรรมเสียได้

⁸“You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.

⁹เจ้าอย่าข่มเหงคนต่างด้าวเพราะเจ้ารู้จักใจคนต่างด้าวแล้ว เพราะว่าเจ้าทั้งหลายก็เคยเป็นคนต่างด้าวในประเทศอียิปต์มาก่อน

⁹“You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

¹⁰จงหว่านพืชและเกี่ยวเก็บผลในนาของเจ้าตลอดหกปี

¹⁰“For six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in its increase,

¹¹แต่ปีที่เจ็ดนั้นจงงดเสีย ปล่อยให้นานั้นว่างอยู่ เพื่อให้คนจนในชนชาติของเจ้าเก็บกิน ส่วนที่เหลือนอกนั้นก็ให้สัตว์ป่ากิน ส่วนสวนองุ่นและสวนมะกอกเทศเจ้าจงกระทำเช่นเดียวกัน

¹¹but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the animal of the field shall eat. In the same way, you shall deal with your vineyard and with your olive grove.

¹²จงทำการงานของเจ้าหกวัน แต่ในวันที่เจ็ดนั้นจงหยุดงาน เพื่อวัว ลาของเจ้าจะได้พัก และลูกชายทาสีของเจ้า กับคนต่างด้าวจะได้พักผ่อนให้สดชื่นด้วย

¹²“Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the alien may be refreshed.

¹³สิ่งทั้งปวงที่เราสั่งเจ้าไว้นั้นจงระวังถือให้ดี และอย่าออกชื่อพระอื่นเลย อย่าให้ได้ยินชื่อของพระเหล่านั้นออกจากปากของเจ้า

¹³“Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and don’t invoke the name of other gods, neither let them be heard out of your mouth.

¹⁴จงถือเทศกาลถวายแก่เราปีละสามครั้ง

¹⁴“You shall observe a feast to me three times a year.

¹⁵จงถือเทศกาลกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อตามเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ (ในเดือนอาบีบ อันเป็นเดือนซึ่งเราบัญชาไว้ เจ้าจงกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อเจ็ดวันตามที่เราสั่งเจ้าไว้แล้ว เพราะในเดือนนั้นเจ้าออกจากอียิปต์ อย่าให้ผู้ใดมาเฝ้าเรามือเปล่าเลย)

¹⁵You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out from Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.

¹⁶จงถือเทศกาลเลี้ยงฉลองการเก็บเกี่ยว ถวายพืชผลแรกที่เกิดจากแรงงานของเจ้า ซึ่งเจ้าได้หว่านพืชลงในนา เจ้าจงถือเทศกาลเลี้ยงฉลองการเก็บพืชผลปลายปี เมื่อเจ้าเก็บพืชผลจากทุ่งนาอันเป็นผลงานของเจ้า

¹⁶And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and the feast of harvest, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field.

¹⁷ให้ผู้ชายทั้งปวงเข้าเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าปีละสามครั้ง

¹⁷Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁸อย่าถวายเลือดจากเครื่องบูชาของเรา พร้อมกับขนมปังมีเชื้อ หรือปล่อยให้มีไขมันในเครื่องบูชาของเราเหลืออยู่จนถึงรุ่งเช้า

¹⁸“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread, neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.

¹⁹พืชผลอันดีเลิศซึ่งได้เก็บครั้งแรกจากไร่นาของเจ้านั้นจงนำมาถวายในพระนิเวศพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า อย่าต้มเนื้อลูกแพะด้วยน้ำนมของแม่มันเลย

¹⁹The first of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

²⁰ดูเถิด เราใช้ทูตสวรรค์องค์หนึ่งเดินนำหน้าพวกเจ้าเพื่อคอยระวังรักษาพวกเจ้าตามทาง นำไปถึงที่ซึ่งเราได้เตรียมไว้

²⁰“Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

²¹จงเอาใจใส่ทูตนั้นและเชื่อฟังเสียงของเขา อย่าฝ่าฝืนเขาเพราะเขาจะไม่ยกโทษการละเมิดให้เจ้าเลย ด้วยว่าเขากระทำในนามของเรา

²¹Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.

²²ถ้าเจ้าทั้งหลายเชื่อฟังเสียงของเขาจริงๆ และทำทุกสิ่งตามที่เราสั่งไว้ เราจะเป็นศัตรูต่อศัตรูของพวกเจ้า และจะเป็นปฏิปักษ์ต่อปฏิปักษ์ของพวกเจ้า

²²But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

²³ด้วยว่าทูตสวรรค์ของเราจะไปข้างหน้าพวกเจ้า และจะนำพวกเจ้าไปถึงคนอาโมไรต์ คนฮิตไทต์ คนเปริสซี คนคานาอัน คนฮีไวต์ และคนเยบุส แล้วเราจะตัดคนเหล่านั้นออกเสีย

²³For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

²⁴อย่ากราบไหว้พระของเขา หรือปรนนิบัติหรือทำตามแบบอย่างที่พวกเขากระทำ แต่จงทำลายรูปเคารพของเขา และทุบเสาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเขาเสียให้แหลกละเอียด

²⁴You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and demolish their pillars.

²⁵จงปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า แล้วพระองค์จะทรงอวยพรแก่อาหารและน้ำของเจ้า เราจะบันดาลให้โรคต่างๆหายไปจากท่ามกลางพวกเจ้า

²⁵You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from your midst.

²⁶จะไม่มีการแท้งลูก หรือเป็นหมันในดินแดนของเจ้า เราจะให้เจ้ามีอายุยืนนาน

²⁶No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days.

²⁷เราจะบันดาลให้เกิดความสยดสยองขึ้นก่อนหน้าพวกเจ้า เราจะทำลายชาวเมืองทั้งปวงที่พวกเจ้าไปเผชิญหน้านั้น เราจะให้พวกศัตรูทั้งปวงหันหลังหนีพวกเจ้า

²⁷I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.

²⁸เราจะใช้ให้ฝูงต่อล่วงหน้าไปก่อนพวกเจ้า จะขับไล่คนฮีไวต์ คนคานาอัน คนฮิตไทต์ไปให้พ้นหน้าพวกเจ้า

²⁸I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.

²⁹เราจะไม่ไล่เขาไปให้พ้นหน้าพวกเจ้าในระยะปีเดียว เกรงว่าแผ่นดินจะรกร้างไปและสัตว์ป่าจะทวีจำนวนขึ้นต่อสู้กับพวกเจ้า

²⁹I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you.

³⁰แต่เราจะไล่เขาไปให้พ้นหน้าพวกเจ้าทีละเล็กละน้อยจนพวกเจ้าทวีจำนวนมากขึ้น แล้วได้รับมอบดินแดนนั้นเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์

³⁰Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and inherit the land.

³¹เราจะกำหนดเขตแดนของพวกเจ้าไว้ตั้งแต่ทะเลแดงจนถึงทะเลของชาวฟีลิสเตีย ตั้งแต่ถิ่นทุรกันดารจนจดแม่น้ำ เพราะเราจะมอบชาวเมืองนั้นไว้ในมือของพวกเจ้าให้พวกเจ้าไล่เขาไปเสียให้พ้นหน้า

³¹I will set your border from the Red Sea or, Sea of Reeds even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.

³²พวกเจ้าอย่าทำพันธสัญญากับเขา หรือกับพระของเขาเลย

³²You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

³³เขาจะอาศัยในดินแดนของเจ้าไม่ได้ เกรงว่าเขาจะชักจูงให้เจ้ากระทำบาปต่อเรา เพราะว่าถ้าพวกเจ้าปรนนิบัติพระของเขา เรื่องนี้ก็จะเป็นบ่วงแร้วดักเจ้าเป็นแน่"

³³They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”
