1"เจ้า บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าจงเอาก้อนอิฐมาวางไว้ข้างหน้าเจ้า และแกะรูปเมืองหนึ่งไว้บนนั้นคือนครเยรูซาเล็ม
1You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem:
2จงล้อมนครนั้นไว้และก่อกำแพงล้อมไว้รอบนครนั้นด้วย และก่อเชิงเทินไว้สู้นครนั้นและตั้งค่ายรอบนครไว้ และตั้งเครื่องทะลวงกำแพงไว้รอบนคร
2and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it all around.
3จงหากระทะเหล็กมา และวางกระทะเหล็กนั้นต่างเป็นกำแพงเหล็กระหว่างเจ้ากับนครนั้น และเจ้าจงหันหน้าสู่นครนั้น ให้นครนั้นถูกล้อม แล้วเจ้าจงกระชับการล้อมเข้าไป นี่เป็นหมายสำคัญสำหรับวงศ์วานอิสราเอล
3Take for yourself an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4แล้วเจ้าจงนอนตะแคงข้างซ้ายและเราจะวางความชั่วช้าแห่งวงศ์วานอิสราเอลไว้เหนือเจ้า เจ้านอนทับอยู่กี่วัน เจ้าจะแบกความชั่วช้าของนครนั้นเท่านั้นวัน
4Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.
5เพราะเราได้กำหนดวันให้แก่เจ้าแล้ว คือสามร้อยเก้าสิบวันเท่ากับจำนวนปีแห่งความชั่วช้าของเขา เจ้าจะต้องแบกความชั่วช้าของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลนานเท่านั้น
5For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days: so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6และเมื่อเจ้ากระทำเช่นนี้ครบวันแล้ว เจ้าจะต้องนอนลงเป็นครั้งที่สอง แต่นอนตะแคงข้างขวา และเจ้าจะแบกความชั่วช้าของวงศ์วานยูดาห์ เรากำหนดให้เจ้าสี่สิบวันวันแทนปี
6Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it to you.
7และเจ้าต้องตั้งหน้าตรงการล้อมเยรูซาเล็มไว้ด้วยแขนเปลือยเปล่า และเจ้าจงพยากรณ์สู้นครนั้น
7You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.
8และ ดูเถิด เราจะเอาเชือกมัดเจ้าไว้ เจ้าจะพลิกจากข้างนี้ไปข้างโน้นไม่ได้จนกว่าเจ้าจะครบการล้อมนครตามกำหนดวันของเจ้า
8Behold, I lay bands on you, and you shall not turn you from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.
9เจ้าจงเอาข้าวสาลี ข้าวบารลี ถั่วยาง และถั่วแดง ข้าวฟ่าง และข้าวสแปลต์ มาใส่ในภาชนะลูกเดียวใช้ทำเป็นขนมปังให้เจ้า ระหว่างที่เจ้านอนตะแคงตามกำหนดวันสามร้อยเก้าสิบวันนั้น เจ้าจะรับประทานอาหารนี้
9Take for yourself also wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.
10และอาหารที่เจ้ารับประทานจะต้องชั่ง เป็นวันละยี่สิบเชเขล เจ้าจงรับประทานตามเวลากำหนด
10Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time you shall eat it.
11และน้ำเจ้าต้องตวงดื่ม คือหนึ่งในหกของฮินหนึ่ง เจ้าจงดื่มน้ำตามเวลากำหนด
11You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time you shall drink.
12และเจ้าจะต้องรับประทานต่างขนมปังข้าวบารลี ใช้ไฟอุจจาระมนุษย์ปิ้งท่ามกลางสายตาของเขาทั้งหลายย"
12You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.
13และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ประชาชนอิสราเอลจะต้องรับประทานขนมปังของเขาอย่างมลทินอย่างนี้แหละ ณ ท่ามกลางประชาชาติ ซึ่งเราจะขับไล่เขาไปอยู่"
13Yahweh said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.
14แล้วข้าพเจ้าจึงกล่าวว่า "ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าข้า ดูเถิด จิตใจของข้าพระองค์ไม่เคยเป็นมลทินเลย เพราะตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมาจนบัดนี้ ข้าพระองค์ไม่เคยรับประทานสิ่งที่ตายเอง หรือที่ถูกสัตว์ฉีกจนแหลกเป็นชิ้นๆ ไม่มีเนื้อสัตว์ที่พึงรังเกียจเข้าไปในปากของข้าพระองค์เลย"
14Then I said, Ah Lord Yahweh! behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
15แล้วพระองค์จึงตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "ดูเถิด เราจะยอมให้เจ้าใช้มูลวัวแทนอุจจาระของมนุษย์ ซึ่งเจ้าจะใช้เตรียมขนมปังของเจ้า"
15Then he said to me, Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread thereon.
16พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าอีกว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ดูเถิด เราจะทำลายอาหารหลักในเยรูซาเล็มเสีย เขาจะต้องชั่งขนมปังรับประทาน ทั้งรับประทานด้วยความหวาดกลัว และเขาจะตวงน้ำดื่ม ทั้งดื่มด้วยอาการอกสั่นขวัญหาย
16Moreover he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay:
17เพื่อให้ขาดขนมปังและน้ำ ให้ต่างคนต่างอกสั่นขวัญหาย และซูบผอมไปเพราะความชั่วช้าของเขาทั้งหลาย"
17that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
