1เพราะดูเถิด องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า คือพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาทรงนำออกไปเสียจากเยรูซาเล็มและจากยูดาห์ ซึ่งเครื่องค้ำและเครื่องจุน เครื่องค้ำอันเป็นอาหารทั้งหมด และเครื่องค้ำอันเป็นน้ำทั้งหมด
1For, behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah supply and support, the whole supply of bread, and the whole supply of water;
2พวกทแกล้วและพวกทหาร ผู้วินิจฉัยและผู้พยากรณ์ ผู้เฉลียวฉลาดและพวกผู้ใหญ่
2the mighty man, the man of war, the judge, the prophet, the diviner, the elder,
3นายห้าสิบและผู้มียศ ที่ปรึกษาและคนเล่นกลที่มีฝีมือ และนักพูดที่วาทะโวหารดี
3the captain of fifty, the honorable man, the counselor, the skilled craftsman, and the clever enchanter.
4และเราจะกระทำให้เด็กๆเป็นเจ้านายของเขา และทารกจะปกครองเขา
4I will give boys to be their princes, and children shall rule over them.
5และประชาชนจะถูกบีบบังคับ ทุกคนจะบีบบังคับเพื่อนของตน และทุกคนจะบีบบังคับเพื่อนบ้านของตน เด็กๆจะทะลึ่งต่อผู้ใหญ่ และคนถ่อยต่อคนผู้มีเกียรติ
5The people will be oppressed, everyone by another, and everyone by his neighbor. The child will behave himself proudly against the old man, and the base against the honorable.
6เมื่อใครคนหนึ่งไปยึดตัวพี่น้องของเขาในเรือนของบิดาของเขา กล่าวว่า "เจ้ามีเสื้อคลุมอยู่แล้ว เจ้าจงเป็นผู้นำของเรา และซากที่อยู่นี้จะอยู่ใต้กำมือของเจ้า"
6Indeed a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, “You have clothing, you be our ruler, and let this ruin be under your hand.”
7ในวันนั้นเขาจะคัดค้านว่า "ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ยอมเป็นผู้สมาน เพราะในเรือนของข้าพเจ้าไม่มีทั้งอาหารและเสื้อคลุม ท่านจะตั้งข้าพเจ้าให้เป็นผู้นำของประชาชนไม่ได้"
7In that day he will cry out, saying, “I will not be a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing. You shall not make me ruler of the people.”
8เพราะเยรูซาเล็มก็ล่มจมและยูดาห์ก็ล้มคว่ำ เพราะว่าลิ้นของเขาและการกระทำของเขาก็ต่อสู้พระเยโฮวาห์ กบฏต่อพระเนตรอันรุ่งโรจน์ของพระองค์
8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Yahweh, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9สีหน้าของเขาเป็นพยานปรักปรำเขาทั้งหลาย เขาป่าวร้องความผิดของเขาอย่างโสโดม เขามิได้ปิดบังไว้ วิบัติแก่จิตใจเขา เพราะว่าเขาได้นำความชั่วร้ายมาเป็นบำเหน็จแก่ตัวเขาเอง
9The look of their faces testify against them. They parade their sin like Sodom. They don’t hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves.
10จงบอกคนชอบธรรมว่า เขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นสุข เพราะเขาจะได้รับประทานผลแห่งการกระทำของเขา
10Tell the righteous “Good!” For they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.
11วิบัติแก่คนชั่ว ความร้ายจะตกแก่เขา เพราะว่าสิ่งใดที่มือเขาได้กระทำ เขาจะถูกกระทำเช่นกัน
11Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them; for the deeds of his hands will be paid back to him.
12ส่วนชนชาติของเรา เด็กๆเป็นผู้บีบบังคับเขา และผู้หญิงปกครองเหนือเขา โอ ชนชาติของเราเอ๋ย ผู้นำของเจ้าทำเจ้าให้ผิด และทำลายแนวทางทั้งหลายของเจ้า
12As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.
13พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเข้าประทับสู้ความ พระองค์ประทับยืนพิพากษาชนชาติของพระองค์
13Yahweh stands up to contend, and stands to judge the peoples.
14พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงเข้าพิพากษาพวกผู้ใหญ่และเจ้านายชนชาติของพระองค์ "เจ้าทั้งหลายนี่แหละซึ่งได้กลืนกินสวนองุ่นเสีย ของที่ริบมาจากคนจนก็อยู่ในเรือนของเจ้า
14Yahweh will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and their leaders: “It is you who have eaten up the vineyard. The spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15ซึ่งเจ้าได้ทุบชนชาติของเราเป็นชิ้นๆ และได้บดบี้หน้าของคนจนนั้นเจ้าหมายความว่ากระไร" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้แหละ
15What do you mean that you crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.
16พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสอีกว่า "เพราะธิดาทั้งหลายของศิโยนนั้นก็ผยอง และเดินคอยืดคอยาว ตาของเขาชม้อยชม้าย เดินกระตุ้งกระติ้ง ขยับเท้าให้เสียงกรุ๋งกริ๋ง
16Moreover Yahweh said, “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking to trip as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet;
17องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงให้เป็นชันนะตุที่ศีรษะของบรรดาธิดาของศิโยน และพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงกระทำให้ที่ส่วนลับของเขาทั้งหลายโล้นไป
17therefore the Lord brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, and Yahweh will make their scalps bald.”
18ในวันนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงนำเอาเครื่องวิจิตรงดงามไปเสีย คือกำไลข้อเท้า ปันจุเหร็จ ตุ้มวงเดือน
18In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces,
19จี้ กำไลมือ ผ้าแถบ
19the earrings, the bracelets, the veils,
20ผ้ามาลา กำไลเท้า ผ้าคาดศีรษะ หีบเครื่องน้ำอบ ตะกรุดพิสมร
20the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume bottles, the charms,
21แหวนตรา และแหวนจมูก
21the signet rings, the nose rings,
22เสื้องาน และเสื้อคลุม ผ้าคลุม และกระเป๋าถือ
22the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses,
23กระจก เสื้อผ้าลินิน ผ้าโพกศีรษะ และผ้าคลุมตัว
23the hand mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.
24ต่อมาแทนน้ำอบจะมีแต่ความเน่า แทนผ้าคาดเอวจะมีเชือก แทนผมดัดจะมีแต่ศีรษะล้าน แทนเสื้องามล้ำค่าจะคาดเอวด้วยผ้ากระสอบ แทนความงดงามจะมีแต่รอยไหม้
24It shall happen that instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of well set hair, baldness; instead of a robe, a wearing of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.
25พวกผู้ชายของเจ้าจะล้มลงด้วยดาบ และทแกล้วทหารของเจ้าจะล้มในสงคราม
25Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.
26ประตูทั้งหลายของเธอจะคร่ำครวญและโศกเศร้า เธอผู้อยู่อย่างโดดเดี่ยวจะนั่งบนพื้นดิน"
26Her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate and sit on the ground.
