¹โอ เกาะทั้งหลายเอ๋ย จงสงบใจต่อหน้าเรา จงให้ชนชาติทั้งหลายฟื้นกำลังของเขาเสียใหม่ ให้เขาเข้ามาใกล้ แล้วให้เขาพูด ให้เราพากันเข้ามาใกล้เพื่อการพิพากษา

¹“Keep silent before me, islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak. Let’s meet together for judgment.

²ใครได้เร้าใจให้คนชอบธรรมมาจากตะวันออก ได้เรียกท่านให้ติดตาม ได้มอบบรรดาประชาชาติต่อหน้าท่าน และให้ท่านครอบครองเหนือกษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย ได้มอบพวกเขาไว้แก่ดาบของท่านเหมือนผงคลี และแก่คันธนูของท่านเหมือนตอข้าวที่ถูกพัดไป

²Who has raised up one from the east? Who called him to his foot in righteousness? He hands over nations to him, and makes him rule over kings. He gives them like the dust to his sword, like the driven stubble to his bow.

³ท่านไล่ตามพวกเขาและผ่านเขาไปอย่างปลอดภัย ตามทางที่เท้าของท่านไม่เคยเหยียบ

³He pursues them, and passes by safely, Even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.

⁴ผู้ใดได้ประกอบกิจและกระทำเช่นนี้ เรียกบรรดาชั่วอายุทั้งหลายออกมาตั้งแต่เดิม เราเองคือพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้เป็นปฐม และกับกาลอวสาน เราคือผู้นั้น

⁴Who has worked and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Yahweh, the first, and with the last, I am he.”

⁵เกาะทั้งหลายเห็นแล้วก็เกรงกลัว ปลายแผ่นดินโลกก็กลัว เขาทั้งหลายได้เข้ามาใกล้

⁵The islands have seen, and fear. The ends of the earth tremble. They approach, and come.

⁶ทุกคนช่วยเพื่อนบ้านของตน และทุกคนกล่าวแก่พี่น้องของตนว่า "จงกล้าเถิด"

⁶Everyone helps his neighbor. They say to their brothers, “Be strong!”

⁷ช่างไม้ก็หนุนใจช่างทอง ผู้ที่ทำให้เรียบด้วยค้อนก็หนุนใจผู้ที่ตีทั่งว่า "พร้อมแล้วสำหรับการบัดกรี" และเขาก็เอาตาปูตรึงไว้เพื่อไม่ให้หวั่นไหว

⁷So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith. He who smoothes with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering, “It is good”; and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.

⁸“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,

⁹เจ้าผู้ซึ่งเรายุดไว้จากที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลก และเรียกเจ้ามาจากพวกผู้ใหญ่ของโลก กล่าวแก่เจ้าว่า "เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเรา เราได้เลือกเจ้าและไม่เหวี่ยงเจ้าออกไป"

⁹You whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from its corners, and said to you, ‘You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you away;’

¹⁰อย่ากลัวเลย เพราะเราอยู่กับเจ้า อย่าขยาด เพราะเราเป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า เราจะหนุนกำลังเจ้า เออ เราจะช่วยเจ้า เออ เราจะชูเจ้าด้วยมือขวาแห่งความชอบธรรมของเรา

¹⁰Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹¹ดูเถิด บรรดาผู้ที่ขัดเคืองกับเจ้าจะต้องได้ความอายและอดสู เขาจะเป็นศูนย์ คนเหล่านั้นที่ฝืนสู้เจ้าจะพินาศไป

¹¹Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.

¹²เจ้าจะแสวงหาพวกเขา แต่เจ้าจะไม่พบเขา คือผู้ที่ต่อสู้กับเจ้า ผู้ที่ทำสงครามกับเจ้า จะเป็นศูนย์และศูนยภาพ

¹²You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a non-existent thing.

¹³เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า จะยุดมือขวาของเจ้าไว้ คือเราเองพูดกับเจ้าว่า "อย่ากลัวเลย เราจะช่วยเจ้า"

¹³For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’

¹⁴พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "อย่ากลัวเลย เจ้าหนอนยาโคบ เจ้าคนอิสราเอล เราจะช่วยเจ้า ผู้ไถ่ของเจ้าคือองค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล"

¹⁴Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says Yahweh, “and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁵ดูเถิด เราจะกระทำเจ้าให้เป็นเลื่อนนวดข้าวใหม่ คม และมีฟัน เจ้าจะนวดและบดภูเขา และเจ้าจะทำเนินเขาให้เหมือนแกลบ

¹⁵Behold, I have made you into a new sharp threshing instrument with teeth. You will thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and will make the hills like chaff.

¹⁶เจ้าจะซัดมันและลมจะพัดมันไปเสีย และลมบ้าหมูจะกระจายมัน และเจ้าจะเปรมปรีดิ์ในพระเยโฮวาห์ เจ้าจะอวดอ้างในองค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล

¹⁶You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, and the whirlwind will scatter them. You will rejoice in Yahweh. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁷เมื่อคนจนและคนขัดสนแสวงน้ำและไม่มี และลิ้นของเขาก็แห้งผากเพราะความกระหาย เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์จะได้ยินเขาเอง เรา พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล จะไม่ละทิ้งเขา

¹⁷The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

¹⁸I will open rivers on the bare heights, and springs in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

¹⁹ในถิ่นทุรกันดารเราจะปลูกต้นสนสีดาร์ ต้นกระถินเทศ ต้นน้ำมันเขียว และต้นมะกอกเทศ ในทะเลทรายเราจะวางต้นสนสามใบ ทั้งต้นสนเขาและต้นช้องรำพันด้วยกัน

¹⁹I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set fir trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;

²⁰เพื่อคนจะได้เห็นและทราบ เขาจะใคร่ครวญและเข้าใจด้วยกัน ว่าพระหัตถ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงกระทำการนี้ องค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอลได้สร้างสิ่งนี้

²⁰that they may see, know, consider, and understand together, that the hand of Yahweh has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.

²¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "จงนำข้อคดีของเจ้าขึ้นมา" กษัตริย์ของยาโคบตรัสว่า "จงนำข้อพิสูจน์ของเจ้ามา"

²¹Produce your cause,” says Yahweh. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob.

²²ให้เขานำมา และแจ้งแก่เราว่าจะเกิดอะไรขึ้น จงแจ้งสิ่งล่วงแล้วให้เราทราบว่ามีอะไรบ้าง เพื่อเราจะพิจารณา เพื่อเราจะทราบถึงอวสานของสิ่งเหล่านั้น หรือจงเล่าให้เราฟังถึงสิ่งที่จะบังเกิดมา

²²“Let them announce, and declare to us what shall happen. Declare the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or show us things to come.

²³จงแจ้งแก่เราว่าต่อไปนี้อะไรจะเกิดขึ้น เพื่อเราจะรู้ว่าเจ้าเป็นพระ เออ จงทำดีหรือจงทำร้าย เพื่อเราจะได้ขยาดและดูกัน

²³Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and see it together.

²⁴ดูเถิด เจ้าไม่มีค่าอะไรเลยและการงานของเจ้าก็สูญเปล่า ผู้ที่เลือกเจ้าก็เป็นที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียน

²⁴Behold, you are of nothing, and your work is of nothing. He who chooses you is an abomination.

²⁵เราได้เร้าผู้หนึ่งจากทิศเหนือและเขาจะมา จากที่ดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้น เขาจะเรียกนามของเรา เขาจะเหยียบผู้ครอบครองเหมือนเหยียบปูนสอ เหมือนช่างหม้อย่ำดินเหนียว

²⁵“I have raised up one from the north, and he has come; from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name; and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

²⁶ใครแจ้งไว้ตั้งแต่เริ่มแรก เพื่อเราจะทราบ และล่วงหน้าเพื่อเราจะพูดว่า "เขาชอบธรรม" เออ ไม่มีผู้ใดได้แจ้งให้ทราบ เออ ไม่มีผู้ใดได้เล่าให้ฟัง เออ ไม่มีผู้ใดได้ยินถ้อยคำของเจ้า

²⁶Who has declared it from the beginning, that we may know? And before, that we may say, ‘He is right?’ Surely, there is no one who declares. Surely, there is no one who shows. Surely, there is no one who hears your words.

²⁷คนแรกจะกล่าวแก่ศิโยนว่า "ดูเถิด ดูเขาทั้งหลาย" และเราจะส่งผู้นำข่าวดีให้แก่เยรูซาเล็ม

²⁷I am the first to say to Zion, ‘Behold, look at them;’ and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.

²⁸แต่เมื่อเรามองก็ไม่มีใคร ไม่มีที่ปรึกษาในหมู่พวกคนเหล่านี้ คือผู้ที่เมื่อเราถามก็ได้ให้คำตอบ

²⁸When I look, there is no man; even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask of them, can answer a word.

²⁹ดูเถิด พระเหล่านั้นเป็นศูนย์ทั้งหมด บรรดากิจการของมันก็เป็นศูนยภาพ รูปเคารพหล่อของมันก็เป็นแต่ลมและความยุ่งเหยิง

²⁹Behold, all of them, their works are vanity and nothing. Their molten images are wind and confusion.
