1ในปีที่กษัตริย์อุสซียาห์สิ้นพระชนม์ ข้าพเจ้าเห็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประทับ ณ พระที่นั่งสูงและเทิดทูนขึ้น และชายฉลองพระองค์ของพระองค์เต็มพระวิหาร
1In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.
2เหนือพระองค์มีเสราฟิมยืนอยู่ แต่ละตนมีปีกหกปีก ใช้สองปีกบังหน้า และสองปีกคลุมเท้า และด้วยสองปีกบินไป
2Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.
3ต่างก็ร้องต่อกันและกันว่า "บริสุทธิ์ บริสุทธิ์ บริสุทธิ์ พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา แผ่นดินโลกทั้งสิ้นเต็มด้วยสง่าราศีของพระองค์"
3One called to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!”
4และรากฐานของธรณีประตูทั้งหลายก็สั่นสะเทือนด้วยเสียงของผู้ร้อง และพระนิเวศก็มีควันเต็มไปหมด
4The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
5และข้าพเจ้าว่า "วิบัติแก่ข้าพเจ้า เพราะข้าพเจ้าพินาศแล้ว เพราะข้าพเจ้าเป็นคนริมฝีปากไม่สะอาด และข้าพเจ้าอาศัยอยู่ในหมู่ชนชาติที่ริมฝีปากไม่สะอาด เพราะนัยน์ตาของข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นกษัตริย์ คือพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา"
5Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”
6แล้วตนหนึ่งในเสราฟิมบินมาหาข้าพเจ้า ในมือมีถ่านเพลิง ซึ่งเขาเอาคีมคีบมาจากแท่นบูชา
6Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
7และเขาถูกต้องปากของข้าพเจ้าพูดว่า "ดูเถิด สิ่งนี้ได้ถูกต้องริมฝีปากของเจ้าแล้ว ความชั่วช้าของเจ้าก็ถูกยกเสีย และเจ้าก็จะรับการลบมลทินบาป"
7He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”
8และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินพระสุรเสียงขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า "เราจะใช้ผู้ใดไป และผู้ใดจะไปแทนเรา" แล้วข้าพเจ้าทูลว่า "ข้าพระองค์นี่พระเจ้าข้า ขอทรงใช้ข้าพระองค์ไปเถิด"
8I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
9และพระองค์ตรัสว่า "ไปเถอะ และกล่าวแก่ชนชาตินี้ว่า `ฟังแล้วฟังเล่า แต่อย่าเข้าใจ ดูแล้วดูเล่า แต่อย่ามองเห็น'
9He said, “Go, and tell this people, ‘You hear indeed, but don’t understand; and you see indeed, but don’t perceive.’
10จงกระทำให้จิตใจของชนชาตินี้มึนงง และให้หูทั้งหลายของเขาหนัก และปิดตาของเขาทั้งหลายเสีย เกรงว่าเขาจะเห็นด้วยตาของเขา และได้ยินด้วยหูของเขา และเข้าใจด้วยจิตใจของเขา และหันกลับมาได้รับการรักษาให้หาย"
10Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”
11แล้วข้าพเจ้ากล่าวว่า "ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า นานสักเท่าใด" และพระองค์ตรัสตอบว่า "จนหัวเมืองทั้งหลายถูกทิ้งร้างไม่มีชาวเมือง และบ้านเรือนไม่มีคน และแผ่นดินก็รกร้างอย่างสิ้นเชิง
11Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities are waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land becomes utterly waste,
12และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกวาดคนออกไปไกล และที่ที่ทอดทิ้งก็มีมากอยู่ท่ามกลางแผ่นดินนั้น
12And Yahweh has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
13และแม้ว่ามีเหลืออยู่ในนั้นสักหนึ่งในสิบ ก็จะกลับมาและถูกเผาไฟ เหมือนต้นสนหรือต้นโอ๊กซึ่งเหลืออยู่แต่ตอเมื่อถูกโค่น" ตอของมันจะเป็นเชื้อสายบริสุทธิ์
13If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains when they are felled; so the holy seed is its stock.”
