¹พระวจนะซึ่งมาถึงเยเรมีย์เกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องชนชาติยูดาห์ทั้งสิ้น ในปีที่สี่แห่งรัชกาลเยโฮยาคิม ราชบุตรของโยสิยาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ ปีนั้นเป็นปีต้นรัชกาลของเนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์ของกรุงบาบิโลน

¹The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),

²ซึ่งเยเรมีย์ผู้พยากรณ์ได้กล่าวแก่ประชาชนยูดาห์ และแก่ชาวเยรูซาเล็มทั้งสิ้น ว่า

²which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:

³"ตั้งแต่ปีที่สิบสามของโยสิยาห์ ราชบุตรของอาโมนกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ จนถึงวันนี้เป็นเวลายี่สิบสามปี พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพเจ้า และข้าพเจ้าก็ได้บอกแก่ท่านทั้งหลายอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง แต่ท่านหาได้ฟังไม่

³From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the word of Yahweh has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.

⁴ท่านไม่ฟังหรือเอียงหูของท่านฟัง แม้ว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงส่งบรรดาผู้พยากรณ์ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์มาอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง

⁴Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear)

⁵กล่าวว่า `บัดนี้เจ้าทุกคนจงหันกลับจากทางชั่วของตน และจากการกระทำผิดของตน และอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงประทานแก่เจ้าและบรรพบุรุษของเจ้าต่อไปเป็นนิตย์

⁵saying, Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forevermore;

⁶อย่าไปติดสอยห้อยตามพระอื่นเพื่อจะปรนนิบัติและนมัสการพระเหล่านั้น หรือยั่วเย้าเราให้โกรธด้วยผลงานแห่งมือของเจ้า แล้วเราจะไม่ทำอันตรายแก่เจ้า'

⁶and don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm.

⁷พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า `แม้กระนั้นเจ้าทั้งหลายก็ไม่ฟังเรา เพื่อเจ้าจะได้ยั่วเย้าเราให้กริ้วด้วยผลงานแห่งมือของเจ้า ซึ่งเป็นผลร้ายแก่เจ้าเอง'

⁷Yet you have not listened to me, says Yahweh; that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.

⁸เพราะฉะนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาจึงตรัสดังนี้ว่า `เพราะเจ้าไม่ฟังถ้อยคำของเรา'

⁸Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies: Because you have not heard my words,

⁹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า `ดูเถิด เราจะส่งคนไปนำครอบครัวทั้งสิ้นของทิศเหนือและเนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์บาบิโลนผู้รับใช้ของเรา และเราจะนำเขาทั้งหลายมาต่อสู้แผ่นดินนี้และต่อสู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินนี้และต่อสู้บรรดาประชาชาติเหล่านี้ซึ่งอยู่ล้อมรอบ เราจะทำลายเขาทั้งหลายอย่างสิ้นเชิง และเราจะกระทำให้เขาเป็นที่น่าตกตะลึง และเป็นที่เย้ยหยันและเป็นที่รกร้างอยู่เนืองนิตย์

⁹behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

¹⁰ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีก เราจะกำจัดเสียงบันเทิงและเสียงร่าเริง เสียงเจ้าบ่าวและเสียงเจ้าสาว เสียงหินโม่และแสงตะเกียงเสียจากเจ้า

¹⁰Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

¹¹แผ่นดินนี้ทั้งสิ้นจะเป็นที่รกร้างและที่น่าตกตะลึง และประชาชาติเหล่านี้จะปรนนิบัติกษัตริย์กรุงบาบิโลนอยู่เจ็ดสิบปี'

¹¹This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

¹²พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า `ต่อมาเมื่อครบเจ็ดสิบปีแล้ว เราจะลงโทษกษัตริย์บาบิโลนและประชาชาตินั้น คือแผ่นดินของชาวเคลเดีย เพราะความชั่วช้าของเขาทั้งหลาย กระทำให้แผ่นดินนั้นรกร้างอยู่เนืองนิตย์

¹²It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Yahweh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.

¹³เราจะนำถ้อยคำทั้งสิ้นให้สำเร็จที่แผ่นดินนั้น คือถ้อยคำที่เราได้กล่าวสู้เมืองนั้น คือทุกสิ่งที่เขียนไว้ในหนังสือนี้ ซึ่งเยเรมีย์ได้พยากรณ์แก่บรรดาประชาชาติทั้งสิ้น

¹³I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.

¹⁴เพราะว่าจะมีหลายประชาชาติและบรรดามหากษัตริย์กระทำให้เขาเหล่านั้นเป็นทาส แม้ว่าเขาทั้งหลายก็ดี และเราจะตอบแทนเขาทั้งหลายตามการกระทำและผลงานแห่งมือของเขา'"

¹⁴For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.

¹⁵พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าดังนี้ว่า "จงเอาถ้วยน้ำองุ่นแห่งความพิโรธนี้ไปจากมือเรา และบังคับบรรดาประชาชาติซึ่งเราส่งเจ้าไปนั้นให้ดื่มจากถ้วยนั้น

¹⁵For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.

¹⁶เขาจะดื่มและเดินโซเซและบ้าคลั่งไปเนื่องด้วยดาบซึ่งเราจะส่งไปท่ามกลางเขาทั้งหลาย"

¹⁶They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

¹⁷ดังนั้น ข้าพเจ้าจึงรับถ้วยมาจากพระหัตถ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ และบังคับประชาชาติทั้งสิ้น ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงใช้ให้ข้าพเจ้าไปหานั้นดื่ม

¹⁷Then took I the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:

¹⁸คือกรุงเยรูซาเล็มและหัวเมืองแห่งยูดาห์ ทั้งบรรดากษัตริย์และเจ้านายของเมืองนั้น เพื่อจะกระทำให้เป็นที่รกร้างและเป็นที่น่าตกตะลึง เป็นที่เย้ยหยันและเป็นที่สาปแช่งอย่างทุกวันนี้

¹⁸Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

¹⁹ฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์กับบรรดาข้าราชการและเจ้านายและประชาชนของท่านนั้น

¹⁹Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

²⁰และบรรดาชนที่ปะปนกัน บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งแผ่นดินอูส และบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งแผ่นดินฟีลิสเตีย เมืองอัชเคโลน กาซา เอโครน และส่วนชาวเมืองอัชโดดที่เหลืออยู่

²⁰and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;

²¹เอโดม โมอับและคนอัมโมน

²¹Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;

²²บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งเมืองไทระ บรรดากษัตริย์เมืองไซดอน และบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งเกาะต่างๆฟากทะเลข้างโน้น

²²and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;

²³เมืองเดดาน เทมา บุส และบรรดาคนที่อยู่ในมุมที่ไกลที่สุด

²³Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;

²⁴บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งอาระเบีย และบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งประชาชนที่ปะปนกันอยู่ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร

²⁴and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;

²⁵บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งศิมรี และบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งเอลาม และบรรดากษัตริย์ของมีเดีย

²⁵and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;

²⁶บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งเมืองทิศเหนือ ทั้งไกลและใกล้ ทีละเมืองๆ และบรรดาราชอาณาจักรแห่งโลกซึ่งอยู่บนพื้นพิภพ และกษัตริย์แห่งเชชัก จะดื่มภายหลังกษัตริย์เหล่านี้

²⁶and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

²⁷"แล้วเจ้าจงพูดกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า จงดื่มให้เมาแล้วก็อาเจียน จงล้มลงและอย่าลุกขึ้นอีกเลย เนื่องด้วยดาบซึ่งเราจะส่งมาท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย'

²⁷You shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

²⁸และถ้าเขาปฏิเสธไม่รับถ้วยจากมือของเจ้าดื่ม เจ้าจงพูดกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้ว่า เจ้าจะต้องดื่ม

²⁸It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies: You shall surely drink.

²⁹เพราะ ดูเถิด เราได้เริ่มทำโทษเมืองซึ่งเรียกตามนามของเราแล้ว และเจ้าจะลอยนวลไปได้โดยไม่ถูกโทษหรือ พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสว่า เจ้าจะลอยนวลไปไม่ได้ เพราะเราจะเรียกดาบเล่มหนึ่งมาเหนือชาวแผ่นดินโลกทั้งสิ้น'

²⁹For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.

³⁰เพราะฉะนั้น เจ้าจงพยากรณ์คำเหล่านี้ทั้งสิ้นสู้เขาทั้งหลาย และกล่าวแก่เขาว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงเปล่งเสียงคำรามจากที่สูง และจากที่พำนักอันบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ พระองค์จะเปล่งพระสุรเสียง พระองค์จะเปล่งเสียงคำรามมากมายต่อคอกแกะของพระองค์ และทรงโห่ร้องอย่างกับคนที่ย่ำองุ่นโห่ร้องต่อชาวพิภพทั้งสิ้น

³⁰Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

³¹เสียงกัมปนาทจะก้องไปทั่วปลายพิภพ เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงมีคดีกับบรรดาประชาชาติ พระองค์จะทรงเข้าพิพากษาเนื้อหนังทั้งสิ้น ส่วนคนชั่วนั้น พระองค์จะทรงฟันเสียด้วยดาบ' พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

³¹A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, says Yahweh.

³²พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้ว่า `ดูเถิด ความร้ายจะไปจากประชาชาตินี้ถึงประชาชาตินั้น และลมบ้าหมูใหญ่จะปั่นป่วนขึ้นมา จากส่วนพิภพโลกที่ไกลที่สุด

³²Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

³³และบรรดาผู้ที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงประหารในวันนั้น จะมีจากปลายโลกข้างนี้ถึงปลายโลกข้างนั้น เขาเหล่านั้นจะไม่มีใครโอดครวญให้ หรือรวบรวมหรือฝังไว้ แต่จะเป็นมูลสัตว์อยู่บนพื้นดิน'"

³³The slain of Yahweh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.

³⁴ท่านผู้เลี้ยงแกะทั้งหลายเอ๋ย จงคร่ำครวญและร้องเถิด ท่านเจ้าของฝูงแกะ จงกลิ้งเกลือกในขี้เถ้า เพราะวันเวลาของการสังหารเจ้าและที่เจ้าต้องกระจัดกระจายมาถึงแล้ว และเจ้าทั้งหลายจะล้มลงเหมือนภาชนะงาม

³⁴Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel.

³⁵ผู้เลี้ยงแกะจะไม่มีทางหนี หรือเจ้าของฝูงแกะไม่มีทางรอดหนีไป

³⁵The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

³⁶จะได้ฟังเสียงร้องของผู้เลี้ยงแกะ และเสียงคร่ำครวญของเจ้าของฝูงแกะ เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงทำลายลานหญ้าของเขาทั้งหลายเสียแล้ว

³⁶A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Yahweh lays waste their pasture.

³⁷และคอกแกะที่สงบสุขก็ถูกตัดให้ล้มลงเสียแล้ว เนื่องด้วยความกริ้วอันแรงกล้าของพระเยโฮวาห์

³⁷The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.

³⁸พระองค์ทรงออกจากที่ซุ่มตัวของพระองค์อย่างสิงโต เพราะว่าแผ่นดินของเขาทั้งหลายเป็นที่รกร้าง เพราะเหตุความดุดันของพระผู้เข้มงวด และเพราะเหตุความกริ้วอันแรงกล้าของพระองค์

³⁸He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
