¹พระองค์ตรัสกับเหล่าสาวกอีกว่า "จำเป็นต้องมีเหตุให้หลงผิด แต่วิบัติแก่ผู้ที่ก่อเหตุให้เกิดความหลงผิดนั้น

¹He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!

²ถ้าเอาหินโม่แป้งผูกคอคนนั้นถ่วงเสียที่ทะเล ก็ดีกว่าให้เขานำผู้เล็กน้อยเหล่านี้คนหนึ่งให้หลงผิด

² It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

³จงระวังตัวให้ดี ถ้าพี่น้องทำการละเมิดต่อท่าน จงเตือนเขา และถ้าเขากลับใจแล้ว จงยกโทษให้เขา

³ Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.

⁴แม้เขาจะทำการละเมิดต่อท่านวันหนึ่งเจ็ดหน และจะกลับมาหาท่านทั้งเจ็ดหนในวันเดียวนั้น แล้วว่า `ฉันกลับใจแล้ว' จงยกโทษให้เขาเถิด"

⁴ If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

⁵ฝ่ายอัครสาวกทูลองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า "ขอพระองค์โปรดให้ความเชื่อของพวกข้าพเจ้ามากยิ่งขึ้น"

⁵The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

⁶องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงตรัสว่า "ถ้าพวกท่านมีความเชื่อเท่าเมล็ดพันธุ์ผักกาดเมล็ดหนึ่ง ท่านก็จะสั่งต้นสุกะมินนี้ได้ว่า `จงถอนขึ้นออกไปปักในทะเล' และมันจะเชื่อฟังท่าน

⁶The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

⁷ในพวกท่านมีคนใดที่มีผู้รับใช้ไถนาหรือเลี้ยงแกะ เมื่อผู้รับใช้คนนั้นกลับมาจากทุ่งนาจะบอกเขาทีเดียวว่า `เชิญเอนกายลงรับประทานเถิด'

⁷ But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’

⁸หรือจะไม่บอกเขาว่า `จงหาให้เรารับประทานและคาดเอวไว้ปรนนิบัติเรา จนเราจะกินและดื่มอิ่มแล้ว และภายหลังเจ้าจงค่อยกินและดื่มเถิด'

⁸ and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?

⁹นายจะขอบใจผู้รับใช้นั้นเพราะผู้รับใช้ได้ทำตามคำสั่งหรือ เราคิดว่าไม่

⁹ Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

¹⁰ฉันใดก็ดี เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายได้กระทำสิ่งสารพัดซึ่งทรงบัญชาไว้แก่ท่านนั้น ก็จงพูดด้วยว่า `ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเป็นผู้รับใช้ที่ไม่มีบุญคุณต่อนาย ข้าพเจ้าได้กระทำตามหน้าที่ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าควรกระทำเท่านั้น'"

¹⁰ Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

¹¹ต่อมาเมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระองค์จึงเสด็จเลียบระหว่างแคว้นสะมาเรียและกาลิลี

¹¹It happened as he was on his way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

¹²เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่ง มีคนเป็นโรคเรื้อนสิบคนมาพบพระองค์ยืนอยู่แต่ไกล

¹²As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

¹³และส่งเสียงร้องว่า "เยซูนายเจ้าข้า โปรดได้เมตตาข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเถิด"

¹³They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴เมื่อพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นแล้วจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปแสดงตัวแก่พวกปุโรหิตเถิด" ต่อมาเมื่อกำลังเดินไป เขาทั้งหลายก็หายสะอาด

¹⁴When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ฝ่ายคนหนึ่งในพวกนั้น เมื่อเห็นว่าตัวหายโรคแล้ว จึงกลับมาสรรเสริญพระเจ้าด้วยเสียงดัง

¹⁵One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

¹⁶และกราบลงที่พระบาทของพระองค์ ขอบพระคุณพระองค์ คนนั้นเป็นชาวสะมาเรีย

¹⁶He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสว่า "มีสิบคนหายสะอาดมิใช่หรือ แต่เก้าคนนั้นอยู่ที่ไหน

¹⁷Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

¹⁸ไม่เห็นผู้ใดกลับมาสรรเสริญพระเจ้า เว้นไว้แต่คนต่างชาติคนนี้"

¹⁸ Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”

¹⁹แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับคนนั้นว่า "จงลุกขึ้นไปเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้ตัวเจ้าหายปกติ"

¹⁹Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

²⁰เมื่อพวกฟาริสีทูลถามพระองค์ว่า อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าจะมาถึงเมื่อไร พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าไม่มาโดยให้เป็นที่สังเกตได้

²⁰Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation;

²¹และเขาจะไม่พูดว่า `มาดูนี่' หรือ `ไปดูโน่น' เพราะ ดูเถิด อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าอยู่ภายในท่านทั้งหลาย"

²¹ neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”

²²พระองค์ตรัสกับเหล่าสาวกว่า "จะมีเวลาหนึ่งเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะใคร่เห็นวันของบุตรมนุษย์สักวันหนึ่ง แต่จะไม่เห็น

²²He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

²³เขาจะพูดกับท่านทั้งหลายว่า `มาดูนี่' หรือ `ไปดูโน่น' อย่าออกไป อย่าตามเขา

²³ They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,

²⁴ด้วยว่าเปรียบเหมือนฟ้าแลบ เมื่อแลบออกจากฟ้าข้างหนึ่ง ก็ส่องสว่างไปถึงฟ้าอีกข้างหนึ่ง บุตรมนุษย์ก็จะเป็นอย่างนั้นแหละในวันของพระองค์

²⁴ for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.

²⁵ก่อนนั้นจำเป็นที่พระองค์จะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมานหลายประการ และคนยุคนี้จะปฏิเสธพระองค์

²⁵ But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

²⁶ในสมัยของโนอาห์เหตุการณ์ได้เป็นมาแล้วอย่างไร ในสมัยของบุตรมนุษย์ก็จะเป็นไปอย่างนั้นด้วย

²⁶ As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

²⁷เขาได้กินและดื่ม ได้สมรสกันและได้ยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากัน จนถึงวันนั้นที่โนอาห์ได้เข้าในนาวา และน้ำได้มาท่วมล้างผลาญเขาเสียทั้งสิ้น

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

²⁸ในสมัยของโลทก็เหมือนกัน เขาได้กินดื่ม ซื้อขาย หว่านปลูก ก่อสร้าง

²⁸ Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

²⁹แต่ในวันนั้นที่โลทออกไปจากเมืองโสโดม ไฟและกำมะถันได้ตกจากฟ้ามาเผาผลาญเขาเสียทั้งสิ้น

²⁹ but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.

³⁰ในวันที่บุตรมนุษย์จะมาปรากฏก็เป็นเหมือนอย่างนั้น

³⁰ It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

³¹ในวันนั้นคนที่อยู่บนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้าน และของของเขาอยู่ในบ้าน อย่าให้เขาลงมาเก็บของนั้นไป และคนที่อยู่ตามทุ่งนา อย่าให้เขากลับมาเหมือนกัน

³¹ In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.

³²จงระลึกถึงภรรยาของโลทนั้นเถิด

³² Remember Lot’s wife!

³³ผู้ใดอุตส่าห์เอาชีวิตของตนรอด ผู้นั้นจะเสียชีวิต แต่ผู้ใดจะสู้เสียชีวิต ผู้นั้นจะได้ชีวิตรอด

³³ Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

³⁴เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ในคืนวันนั้นจะมีชายสองคนนอนในที่นอนอันเดียวกัน จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง

³⁴ I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.

³⁵ผู้หญิงสองคนจะโม่แป้งด้วยกัน จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง

³⁵ There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.”

³⁶ชายสองคนจะอยู่ในทุ่งนา จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง"

³⁶ Some Greek manuscripts add: “Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”

³⁷เขาจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "จะเกิดขึ้นที่ไหน พระองค์เจ้าข้า" พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ซากศพอยู่ที่ไหน ฝูงนกอินทรีจะตอมกันอยู่ที่นั่น"

³⁷They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
