¹ต่อมาครั้นเมื่อประชาชนกำลังเบียดเสียดพระองค์เพื่อฟังพระวจนะของพระเจ้า พระองค์ทรงยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งทะเลสาบเยนเนซาเรท

¹Now it happened, while the multitude pressed on him and heard the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.

²และพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเรือสองลำจอดอยู่ริมฝั่งทะเลสาบนั้น แต่ชาวประมงขึ้นจากเรือแล้วกำลังซักอวนอยู่

²He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

³พระองค์จึงเสด็จลงเรือลำหนึ่ง เป็นเรือของซีโมน และทรงขอให้เขาถอยไปจากฝั่งหน่อยหนึ่ง แล้วพระองค์ทรงนั่งลงสอนประชาชนจากเรือนั้น

³He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

⁴เมื่อพระองค์ตรัสสอนเสร็จแล้ว จึงตรัสแก่ซีโมนว่า "จงถอยออกไปที่น้ำลึกหย่อนอวนต่างๆลงจับปลา"

⁴When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”

⁵ซีโมนทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทอดอวนคืนยังรุ่ง ไม่ได้อะไรเลย แต่ข้าพระองค์จะหย่อนอวนลงตามพระดำรัสของพระองค์"

⁵Simon answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”

⁶เมื่อเขาหย่อนลงแล้ว ก็ล้อมปลาไว้เป็นอันมาก จนอวนของเขาขาด

⁶When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.

⁷เขาจึงทำสำคัญแก่ผู้ร่วมงานที่อยู่ในเรืออีกลำหนึ่งให้มาช่วย เขาก็มาช่วย แล้วได้ปลาเต็มเรือทั้งสองลำ จนเรือเริ่มจมลง

⁷They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.

⁸ฝ่ายซีโมนเปโตรเมื่อเห็นดังนั้น ก็กราบลงที่พระชานุของพระเยซูทูลว่า "โอ พระองค์เจ้าข้า ขอเสด็จไปให้ห่างจากข้าพระองค์เถิด เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์เป็นคนบาป"

⁸But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”

⁹เพราะว่าเขากับคนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ด้วยกันประหลาดใจ ด้วยปลาเป็นอันมากที่เขาจับได้นั้น

⁹For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;

¹⁰ยากอบและยอห์นบุตรชายของเศเบดี ผู้ร่วมงานกับซีโมนก็ประหลาดใจเหมือนกัน พระเยซูตรัสแก่ซีโมนว่า "อย่ากลัวเลย ตั้งแต่นี้ไปท่านจะเป็นผู้จับคน"

¹⁰and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”

¹¹เมื่อเขานำเรือมาถึงฝั่งแล้ว เขาก็ละทิ้งสิ่งสารพัด และตามพระองค์ไป

¹¹When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.

¹²ต่อมาเมื่อพระองค์ทรงอยู่ในเมืองหนึ่ง ดูเถิด มีคนเป็นโรคเรื้อนเต็มทั้งตัว เมื่อเขาเห็นพระเยซูก็ซบหน้าลงถึงดิน อ้อนวอนทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า เพียงแต่พระองค์จะโปรดก็จะทรงบันดาลให้ข้าพระองค์หายโรคได้"

¹²It happened, while he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”

¹³พระองค์ทรงยื่นพระหัตถ์ถูกต้องเขาแล้วตรัสว่า "เราพอใจแล้ว จงหายเถิด" ในทันใดนั้นโรคเรื้อนของเขาก็หาย

¹³He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the leprosy left him.

¹⁴พระองค์จึงกำชับเขาไม่ให้บอกผู้ใด และตรัสว่า "แต่จงไปแสดงตัวแก่ปุโรหิต และถวายเครื่องบูชาสำหรับคนที่หายโรคเรื้อนแล้วตามซึ่งโมเสสได้สั่งไว้ เพื่อเป็นหลักฐานต่อคนทั้งหลายว่าเจ้าหายโรคแล้ว"

¹⁴He commanded him to tell no one, “But go your way, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing according to what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

¹⁵แต่กิตติศัพท์ของพระองค์ยิ่งเลื่องลือไป และประชาชนเป็นอันมากมาชุมนุมกันเพื่อจะฟังพระองค์ และรับการรักษาโรคต่างๆของเขา

¹⁵But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

¹⁶แต่พระองค์เสด็จออกไปในที่เปลี่ยว และทรงอธิษฐาน

¹⁶But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.

¹⁷คราวนั้นวันหนึ่งเมื่อพระองค์ทรงสั่งสอนอยู่ มีพวกฟาริสีและพวกธรรมาจารย์ฝ่ายพระราชบัญญัตินั่งอยู่ด้วย เป็นผู้มาจากทุกหมู่บ้านในแคว้นกาลิลี แคว้นยูเดีย และจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ฤทธิ์เดชขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็สถิตอยู่เพื่อจะรักษาเขาให้หายโรค

¹⁷It happened on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was with him to heal them.

¹⁸และดูเถิด มีผู้หามคนอัมพาตคนหนึ่งนอนบนที่นอน และเขาหาช่องที่จะหามคนอัมพาตนั้นเข้ามาวางตรงพระพักตร์ของพระองค์

¹⁸Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Jesus.

¹⁹เมื่อหาช่องเอาเข้ามาไม่ได้เพราะคนมาก เขาจึงขึ้นไปบนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้านหย่อนคนอัมพาตลงมา ทั้งที่นอนตามช่องกระเบื้องตรงกลางหมู่คนต่อพระพักตร์พระเยซู

¹⁹Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the midst before Jesus.

²⁰เมื่อพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นความเชื่อของเขาทั้งหลาย พระองค์จึงตรัสกับคนอัมพาตว่า "บุรุษเอ๋ย บาปของเจ้าได้รับอภัยแล้ว"

²⁰Seeing their faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

²¹ฝ่ายพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสีเริ่มคิดในใจว่า "คนนี้ที่พูดหมิ่นประมาทเป็นผู้ใดเล่า ใครจะยกความผิดบาปได้เว้นแต่พระเจ้าเท่านั้น"

²¹The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”

²²แต่เมื่อพระเยซูทรงทราบความคิดของเขา พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ไฉนท่านทั้งหลายจึงคิดในใจอย่างนี้

²²But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?

²³ที่จะว่า `บาปของเจ้าได้รับอภัยแล้ว' หรือจะว่า `จงลุกขึ้นเดินไปเถิด' นั้นข้างไหนจะง่ายกว่ากัน

²³ Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’

²⁴แต่เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้รู้ว่า บุตรมนุษย์มีฤทธิ์อำนาจในโลกที่จะโปรดยกความผิดบาปได้" (พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งคนอัมพาตว่า) "เราสั่งเจ้าว่า จงลุกขึ้นยกที่นอนไปบ้านของเจ้าเถิด"

²⁴ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”

²⁵ในทันใดนั้น เขาจึงลุกขึ้นต่อหน้าคนทั้งปวง ยกที่นอนซึ่งเขาได้นอนนั้น กลับไปบ้านของตน พลางร้องสรรเสริญพระเจ้า

²⁵Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.

²⁶คนทั้งปวงก็อัศจรรย์ใจและได้สรรเสริญพระเจ้า ต่างเต็มไปด้วยความกลัวและพูดว่า "วันนี้เราได้เห็นสิ่งแปลกประหลาด"

²⁶Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”

²⁷ภายหลังเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้พระองค์ได้เสด็จออกไป และทอดพระเนตรเห็นคนเก็บภาษีคนหนึ่ง ชื่อเลวีนั่งอยู่ที่ด่านภาษี พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "จงตามเรามาเถิด"

²⁷After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”

²⁸เขาก็ละทิ้งสิ่งสารพัด ลุกขึ้นตามพระองค์ไป

²⁸He left everything, and rose up and followed him.

²⁹เลวีได้จัดให้มีการเลี้ยงใหญ่ในเรือนของตนเพื่อเป็นเกียรติยศแก่พระองค์ มีคนมากมายเป็นคนเก็บภาษีและคนอื่นๆมาเอนกายลงรับประทานด้วยกัน

²⁹Levi made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.

³⁰ฝ่ายพวกธรรมาจารย์ของเขา และพวกฟาริสีกระซิบบ่นติพวกสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "เหตุไฉนพวกท่านมากินและดื่มด้วยกันกับพวกเก็บภาษีและพวกคนบาป"

³⁰Their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”

³¹พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "คนปกติไม่ต้องการหมอ แต่คนเจ็บต้องการหมอ

³¹Jesus answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.

³²เรามิได้มาเพื่อจะเรียกคนที่เห็นว่าตัวชอบธรรม แต่มาเรียกคนบาปให้กลับใจเสียใหม่"

³² I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

³³เขาทั้งหลายทูลพระองค์ว่า "ทำไมพวกศิษย์ของยอห์นถืออดอาหารเนืองๆและอธิษฐานอ้อนวอน และศิษย์ของพวกฟาริสีก็ถือเหมือนกัน แต่สาวกของท่านกินและดื่ม"

³³They said to him, “Why do John’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink?”

³⁴ฝ่ายพระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านจะให้สหายของเจ้าบ่าวอดอาหารเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวยังอยู่กับเขากระนั้นหรือ

³⁴He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

³⁵แต่จะมีวันหนึ่งเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวจะต้องจากสหายไป ในวันนั้นสหายจะถืออดอาหาร"

³⁵ But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”

³⁶พระองค์ยังตรัสคำอุปมาข้อหนึ่งแก่เขาด้วยว่า "ไม่มีผู้ใดฉีกท่อนผ้าจากเสื้อใหม่มาปะเสื้อเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้นเสื้อใหม่นั้นจะขาดเสียไป ทั้งท่อนผ้าที่เอามาจากเสื้อใหม่นั้นก็จะไม่สมกับเสื้อเก่าด้วย

³⁶He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.

³⁷ไม่มีผู้ใดเอาน้ำองุ่นใหม่มาใส่ในถุงหนังเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้นน้ำองุ่นใหม่จะทำให้ถุงหนังเก่าขาดไป และน้ำองุ่นจะรั่ว ถุงหนังก็จะเสียไปด้วย

³⁷ No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.

³⁸แต่น้ำองุ่นใหม่ต้องใส่ในถุงหนังใหม่ ทั้งสองจะถนอมรักษาด้วยกันได้

³⁸ But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.

³⁹ไม่มีผู้ใดเมื่อดื่มน้ำองุ่นเก่าแล้ว จะอยากได้น้ำองุ่นใหม่ทันที เพราะเขาว่า `ของเก่านั้นก็ดีกว่า'"

³⁹ No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
