¹ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้ทรงลุกขึ้นเสด็จจากที่นั่น เข้าในเขตแดนแคว้นยูเดีย ไปตามทางแม่น้ำจอร์แดนฟากข้างโน้น และประชาชนพากันมาหาพระองค์อีก พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งสอนเขาอีกตามที่พระองค์ทรงเคยสอนนั้น

¹He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.

²พวกฟาริสีมาทดลองพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ผู้ชายจะหย่าภรรยาของตนเป็นการถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือไม่"

²Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

³พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "โมเสสได้บัญญัติไว้ว่าอย่างไร"

³He answered, “What did Moses command you?”

⁴เขาทูลตอบว่า "โมเสสอนุญาตให้ทำหนังสือหย่าภรรยาแล้วก็หย่าให้"

⁴They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”

⁵พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า "โมเสสได้เขียนข้อบังคับนั้นเพราะเหตุใจพวกเจ้าแข็งกระด้าง

⁵But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

⁶แต่ตั้งแต่เดิมสร้างโลก `พระเจ้าได้ทรงสร้างพวกเขาให้เป็นชายและหญิง

⁶ But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. Genesis 1:27

⁷เพราะเหตุนี้ผู้ชายจะจากบิดามารดาของเขา จะไปผูกพันอยู่กับภรรยา

⁷ For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,

⁸และเขาทั้งสองจะเป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน' เขาจึงไม่เป็นสองต่อไป แต่เป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน

⁸ and the two will become one flesh, Genesis 2:24 so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

⁹ What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

¹⁰เมื่อเข้าไปในเรือนแล้วเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์อีกถึงเรื่องนั้น

¹⁰In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.

¹¹พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "ถ้าผู้ใดหย่าภรรยาของตน แล้วไปมีภรรยาใหม่ ผู้นั้นก็ได้ผิดประเวณีต่อเธอ

¹¹He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her.

¹²และถ้าหญิงจะหย่าสามีของตน แล้วไปมีสามีใหม่ หญิงนั้นก็ผิดประเวณี"

¹² If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.”

¹³ขณะนั้นเขาพาเด็กเล็กๆมาหาพระองค์ เพื่อจะให้พระองค์ทรงถูกต้องตัวเด็กนั้น แต่เหล่าสาวกก็ห้ามปรามคนที่พาเด็กมานั้น

¹³They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.

¹⁴เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นดังนั้นก็ไม่พอพระทัย จึงตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกว่า "จงยอมให้เด็กเล็กๆเข้ามาหาเรา อย่าห้ามเขาเลย เพราะว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเป็นของคนเช่นเด็กอย่างนั้น

¹⁴But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

¹⁵เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดมิได้รับอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเหมือนเด็กเล็กๆ ผู้นั้นจะเข้าในอาณาจักรนั้นไม่ได้"

¹⁵ Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

¹⁶แล้วพระองค์ทรงอุ้มเด็กเล็กๆเหล่านั้น วางพระหัตถ์บนเขา แล้วทรงอวยพรให้

¹⁶He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

¹⁷เมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จออกไปตามทาง มีคนหนึ่งวิ่งมาหาพระองค์คุกเข่าลงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านอาจารย์ผู้ประเสริฐ ข้าพเจ้าจะกระทำประการใดจึงจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์เป็นมรดก"

¹⁷As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

¹⁸พระเยซูตรัสถามคนนั้นว่า "ท่านเรียกเราว่าประเสริฐทำไม ไม่มีใครประเสริฐเว้นแต่พระเจ้าองค์เดียว

¹⁸Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.

¹⁹ท่านรู้จักพระบัญญัติแล้วซึ่งว่า `อย่าล่วงประเวณีผัวเมียเขา อย่ากระทำการฆาตกรรม อย่าลักทรัพย์ อย่าเป็นพยานเท็จ อย่าฉ้อเขา จงให้เกียรติแก่บิดามารดาของตน'"

¹⁹ You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’” Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20

²⁰คนนั้นจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้อเหล่านั้นข้าพเจ้าได้ถือรักษาไว้ตั้งแต่เป็นเด็กมา"

²⁰He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”

²¹พระเยซูทรงเพ่งดูคนนั้น ก็ทรงรักเขา แล้วตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านยังขาดอยู่สิ่งหนึ่ง จงไปขายบรรดาสิ่งของซึ่งท่านมีอยู่ แจกจ่ายให้คนอนาถา แล้วท่านจะมีทรัพย์สมบัติในสวรรค์ แล้วจงแบกกางเขน และตามเรามา"

²¹Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

²²เมื่อเขาได้ยินคำนั้นก็เสียใจ แล้วออกไปเป็นทุกข์เพราะเขามีทรัพย์สิ่งของเป็นอันมาก

²²But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.

²³พระเยซูจึงทอดพระเนตรรอบๆแล้วตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "คนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา"

²³Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!”

²⁴เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจด้วยคำตรัสของพระองค์ และพระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาอีกว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย คนที่วางใจในทรัพย์สมบัติจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา

²⁴The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!

²⁵ตัวอูฐจะลอดรูเข็มก็ง่ายกว่าคนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า"

²⁵ It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”

²⁶เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจยิ่งนักจึงพูดกันว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นใครจะรอดได้"

²⁶They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”

²⁷พระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเหล่าสาวกแล้วตรัสว่า "ฝ่ายมนุษย์ก็เหลือกำลังที่จะทำได้ แต่ไม่เหลือกำลังของพระเจ้า เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้สำเร็จได้ทุกสิ่ง"

²⁷Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

²⁸ฝ่ายเปโตรจึงเริ่มทูลพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้สละสิ่งสารพัด และได้ติดตามพระองค์มา"

²⁸Peter began to tell him, “Behold, we have left all, and have followed you.”

²⁹พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดได้สละบ้าน หรือพี่น้องชายหญิง หรือบิดามารดา หรือภรรยา หรือลูก หรือไร่นา เพราะเห็นแก่เราและข่าวประเสริฐนั้น

²⁹Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,

³⁰ในเวลานี้ผู้นั้นจะได้รับตอบแทนร้อยเท่า คือบ้าน พี่น้องชายหญิง มารดา ลูกและไร่นา ทั้งจะถูกการข่มเหงด้วย และในโลกหน้าจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์

³⁰ but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

³¹แต่มีหลายคนที่เป็นคนต้นจะต้องกลับไปเป็นคนสุดท้าย และที่เป็นคนสุดท้ายจะกลับเป็นคนต้น"

³¹ But many who are first will be last; and the last first.”

³²เมื่อกำลังเดินทางจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระเยซูก็เสด็จนำหน้าเขา ฝ่ายเหล่าสาวกก็พากันคิดประหลาดใจ และขณะที่เขาตามมาก็หวาดกลัว พระองค์จึงทรงเรียกสาวกสิบสองคนอีก แล้วเริ่มตรัสสำแดงให้เขาทราบถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งจะเกิดแก่พระองค์นั้น

³²They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.

³³ว่า "ดูเถิด เราทั้งหลายจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และเขาจะมอบบุตรมนุษย์ไว้กับพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกธรรมาจารย์ และเขาเหล่านั้นจะปรับโทษท่านถึงตาย และจะมอบท่านไว้กับคนต่างชาติ

³³ “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.

³⁴คนต่างชาตินั้นจะเยาะเย้ยท่าน จะเฆี่ยนตีท่าน จะถ่มน้ำลายรดท่าน และจะฆ่าท่านเสีย และวันที่สามท่านจะเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่"

³⁴ They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”

³⁵ฝ่ายยากอบกับยอห์น บุตรชายของเศเบดี เข้ามาทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองปรารถนาจะขอให้พระองค์ทรงกระทำตามคำขอของข้าพระองค์"

³⁵James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”

³⁶พระองค์จึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งสองปรารถนาจะให้เราทำสิ่งใดให้ท่าน"

³⁶He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

³⁷เขาจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "เมื่อพระองค์จะทรงสง่าราศีนั้น ขอให้ข้าพระองค์นั่งที่เบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง เบื้องซ้ายพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง"

³⁷They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand, and one at your left hand, in your glory.”

³⁸พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ที่ท่านขอนั้นท่านไม่เข้าใจ ถ้วยซึ่งเราจะดื่มนั้นท่านจะดื่มได้หรือ และบัพติศมานั้นซึ่งเราจะรับ ท่านจะรับได้หรือ"

³⁸But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

³⁹เขาทั้งสองทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ได้ พระเจ้าข้า" พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ถ้วยซึ่งเราดื่มท่านจะดื่มก็จริง และรับบัพติศมาด้วยบัพติศมาที่เราจะรับก็จริง

³⁹They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;

⁴⁰แต่ที่จะนั่งข้างขวาและข้างซ้ายของเรานั้น ไม่ใช่พนักงานของเราที่จะจัดให้ แต่ได้ทรงเตรียมไว้สำหรับผู้ใดก็จะให้แก่ผู้นั้น"

⁴⁰ but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”

⁴¹เมื่อสาวกสิบคนได้ยินแล้ว ก็เริ่มมีความขุ่นเคืองยากอบและยอห์น

⁴¹When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant towards James and John.

⁴²พระเยซูจึงทรงเรียกเขาทั้งหลายมาตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายรู้อยู่ว่า ผู้ที่นับว่าเป็นผู้ครองของคนต่างชาติย่อมเป็นเจ้าเหนือเขา และผู้ใหญ่ทั้งหลายก็ใช้อำนาจบังคับ

⁴²Jesus summoned them, and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

⁴³แต่ในพวกท่านหาเป็นอย่างนั้นไม่ ถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นใหญ่ในพวกท่าน ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้ปรนนิบัติท่านทั้งหลาย

⁴³ But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

⁴⁴และถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นเอกเป็นต้น ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้รับใช้ของคนทั้งปวง

⁴⁴ Whoever of you wants to become first among you, shall be bondservant of all.

⁴⁵เพราะว่าบุตรมนุษย์มิได้มาเพื่อรับการปรนนิบัติ แต่ท่านมาเพื่อจะปรนนิบัติเขา และประทานชีวิตของท่านให้เป็นค่าไถ่คนเป็นอันมาก"

⁴⁵ For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

⁴⁶ฝ่ายพระเยซูกับพวกสาวกมายังเมืองเยรีโค และเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จออกจากเมืองเยรีโคกับพวกสาวกของพระองค์และประชาชนเป็นอันมาก มีคนตาบอดคนหนึ่ง ชื่อบารทิเมอัส ซึ่งเป็นบุตรชายของทิเมอัส นั่งขอทานอยู่ที่ริมหนทาง

⁴⁶They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

⁴⁷เมื่อคนนั้นได้ยินว่าพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธเสด็จมา จึงเริ่มร้องเสียงดังว่า "ท่านเยซู บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"

⁴⁷When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁸มีหลายคนห้ามเขาให้เขานิ่งเสีย แต่เขายิ่งร้องเสียงดังขึ้นว่า "บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"

⁴⁸Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁹พระเยซูทรงหยุดประทับยืนอยู่ แล้วตรัสสั่งให้เรียกคนนั้นมา เขาจึงเรียกคนตาบอดนั้นว่าแก่เขาว่า "จงชื่นใจและลุกขึ้นเถิด พระองค์ทรงเรียกเจ้า"

⁴⁹Jesus stood still, and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”

⁵⁰คนนั้นก็ทิ้งผ้าห่มเสียลุกขึ้นมาหาพระเยซู

⁵⁰He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.

⁵¹พระเยซูจึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "เจ้าปรารถนาจะให้เราทำอะไรแก่เจ้า" คนตาบอดนั้นทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ขอโปรดให้ตาข้าพระองค์เห็นได้"

⁵¹Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, Rabboni is a transliteration of the Hebrew word for “great teacher.” that I may see again.”

⁵²พระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้เจ้าหายปกติแล้ว" ในทันใดนั้นคนตาบอดนั้นก็เห็นได้ และได้เดินทางตามพระเยซูไป

⁵²Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
