¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²"จงบัญชาคนอิสราเอลให้สั่งบรรดาคนโรคเรื้อน และทุกคนที่มีสิ่งไหลออก และทุกคนที่มลทินเพราะการถูกซากศพให้ไปนอกค่าย

²“Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has an issue, and whoever is unclean by the dead.

³เจ้าจงสั่งทั้งผู้ชายและผู้หญิงให้ไปนอกค่าย เพื่อมิให้เขากระทำให้ค่ายของเขาซึ่งเราสถิตอยู่ท่ามกลางนั้นเป็นมลทิน"

³Both you shall put male and female outside of the camp; that they not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.”

⁴และคนอิสราเอลก็กระทำตาม และสั่งคนเหล่านั้นให้ไปนอกค่าย พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสสไว้ประการใด คนอิสราเอลก็กระทำตามอย่างนั้น

⁴The children of Israel did so, and put them out outside of the camp; as Yahweh spoke to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

⁵พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

⁵Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

⁶"จงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลว่า ผู้ชายก็ดีหรือผู้หญิงก็ดีกระทำบาปอย่างที่มนุษย์กระทำ คือประพฤติการละเมิดต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ และผู้นั้นมีความผิดแล้ว

⁶“Speak to the children of Israel: ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against Yahweh, and that soul is guilty;

⁷ก็ให้ผู้นั้นสารภาพความผิดที่เขาได้กระทำ และให้เขาคืนสิ่งที่ละเมิดซึ่งเขาได้มานั้นเต็มตามเดิม ทั้งเพิ่มอีกหนึ่งในห้าส่วนให้แก่เจ้าของเดิมผู้ที่เขาได้กระทำการละเมิดต่อนั้น

⁷then he shall confess his sin which he has done, and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, and add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him in respect of whom he has been guilty.

⁸ถ้าคนนั้นไม่มีพี่น้องที่จะรับของคืนก็ให้ถวายของที่คืนนั้นแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ทางปุโรหิตรวมทั้งแกะผู้สำหรับบูชาลบมลทินบาป ซึ่งเขาต้องบูชาลบมลทินบาปของเขา

⁸But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made to Yahweh shall be the priest’s; besides the ram of the atonement, by which atonement shall be made for him.

⁹และของบริสุทธิ์ที่คนอิสราเอลนำมาถวายทุกสิ่งอันนำมาให้แก่ปุโรหิตก็ตกเป็นของปุโรหิต

⁹Every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his.

¹⁰สิ่งบริสุทธิ์ของทุกคนให้ตกเป็นของปุโรหิตและทุกสิ่งที่เขานำไปถวายปุโรหิตก็ต้องตกเป็นของปุโรหิต"

¹⁰Every man’s holy things shall be his: whatever any man gives the priest, it shall be his.’”

¹¹และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹²"จงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลว่า ถ้าภรรยาของผู้ชายคนใดหลงประพฤตินอกใจสามี

¹²“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: ‘If any man’s wife goes astray, and is unfaithful to him,

¹³มีชายอื่นมานอนร่วมกับนางพ้นตาสามีของนาง แม้นางได้กระทำตัวให้เป็นมลทินแล้ว แต่ไม่มีใครรู้เห็นและยังไม่มีพยาน เพราะจับไม่ได้คาที่

¹³and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and is kept close, and she is defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she isn’t taken in the act;

¹⁴จิตหึงหวงก็มาสิงสามี เขาจึงหึงหวงภรรยาของเขา และภรรยาได้กระทำตัวให้มลทิน หรือจิตหึงหวงมาสิงสามี เขาจึงหึงหวงภรรยาของเขา แม้ว่าภรรยามิได้กระทำตัวให้มลทิน

¹⁴and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she isn’t defiled:

¹⁵ก็ให้ชายผู้นั้นพาภรรยาของตนไปหาปุโรหิต นำเครื่องบูชาสำหรับภรรยาไป มีแป้งบารลีหนึ่งในสิบเอฟาห์ อย่าให้เขาเทน้ำมันหรือใส่กำยานในแป้งนั้น เพราะเป็นธัญญบูชาเรื่องความหึงหวง เป็นธัญญบูชาแห่งความรำลึกฟื้นให้ระลึกถึงความชั่วช้า

¹⁵then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring her offering for her: the tenth part of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to memory.

¹⁶และปุโรหิตจะนำนางมาใกล้ให้เข้าเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁶The priest shall bring her near, and set her before Yahweh;

¹⁷และปุโรหิตจะเอาน้ำบริสุทธิ์ที่ใส่ภาชนะดิน ปุโรหิตจะเอาผงคลีที่พื้นพลับพลาใส่ในน้ำนั้น

¹⁷and the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water.

¹⁸และปุโรหิตจะให้นางเข้าเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์ และแก้มวยผมของนางออก และส่งธัญญบูชาแห่งความรำลึกให้นางถือไว้ อันเป็นธัญญบูชาแห่งความหึงหวง แล้วปุโรหิตจะถือน้ำแห่งความขมขื่นที่นำการสาปแช่งนั้นไว้เอง

¹⁸The priest shall set the woman before Yahweh, and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse.

¹⁹แล้วปุโรหิตจะให้นางปฏิญาณตัวว่า `ถ้าไม่มีชายใดมานอนกับเจ้า หรือเจ้าไม่หันเหไปกระทำมลทิน เมื่อเจ้ายังอยู่ในอำนาจของสามี ก็ให้เจ้าพ้นเสียจากน้ำแห่งความขมขื่นที่นำการสาปแช่งนี้

¹⁹The priest shall cause her to swear, and shall tell the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you haven’t gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, be free from this water of bitterness that brings a curse.

²⁰แต่ถ้าเจ้าได้หลงไปแม้เจ้าอยู่ในอำนาจของสามีและได้กระทำตัวเองให้เป็นมลทินและชายอื่นนอกจากสามีได้เข้านอนด้วยแล้ว'

²⁰But if you have gone astray, being under your husband, and if you are defiled, and some man has lain with you besides your husband:”

²¹ก็ให้ปุโรหิตกระทำให้หญิงนั้นกล่าวคำปฏิญาณสาปแช่ง และปุโรหิตจะกล่าวแก่ผู้หญิงนั้นว่า `ขอให้พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำเจ้าให้เป็นคำสาปแช่ง และเป็นคำปฏิญาณท่ามกลางชนชาติของเจ้า ในเมื่อพระเยโฮวาห์กระทำให้โคนขาเจ้าลีบและกระทำท้องเจ้าให้ป่องแล้ว

²¹then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall tell the woman, “Yahweh make you a curse and an oath among your people, when Yahweh allows your thigh to fall away, and your body to swell;

²²ขอให้น้ำแห่งคำสาปแช่งนี้เข้าในตัวเจ้ากระทำให้ท้องเจ้าป่อง และกระทำให้โคนขาเจ้าลีบไป' และนางนั้นจะต้องกล่าวว่า `เอเมน เอเมน'

²²and this water that brings a curse will go into your bowels, and make your body swell, and your thigh fall away.” The woman shall say, “Amen, Amen.”

²³แล้วปุโรหิตจะเขียนคำสาปนี้ลงในหนังสือ และลบความนั้นออกเสียด้วยน้ำแห่งความขมขื่น

²³“‘The priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness.

²⁴แล้วให้หญิงนั้นดื่มน้ำแห่งความขมขื่นที่นำการสาปแช่ง แล้วน้ำที่นำการสาปแช่งนั้นจะเข้าไปในตัวนางเป็นความเฝื่อนฝาด

²⁴He shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causes the curse; and the water that causes the curse shall enter into her and become bitter.

²⁵และปุโรหิตจะเอาธัญญบูชาแห่งความหึงหวงออกจากมือนาง แกว่งไปแกว่งมาถวายธัญญบูชานั้นต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ แล้วนำไปถวายที่แท่นบูชา

²⁵The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the meal offering before Yahweh, and bring it to the altar.

²⁶และปุโรหิตจะหยิบธัญญบูชากำมือหนึ่งเป็นส่วนที่ระลึก แล้วเผาเสียบนแท่นบูชา แล้วจึงให้หญิงนั้นดื่มน้ำนั้น

²⁶The priest shall take a handful of the meal offering, as its memorial, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.

²⁷เมื่อให้หญิงนั้นดื่มน้ำแล้ว ต่อมา ถ้านางกระทำตัวให้มลทินและประพฤตินอกใจสามี น้ำที่นำการสาปแช่งนั้นจะเข้าในตัวนางเป็นความเฝื่อนฝาด ท้องจะป่องและโคนขาจะลีบไป และหญิงนั้นจะเป็นคำสาปแช่งท่ามกลางชนชาติของนาง

²⁷When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people.

²⁸ถ้าหญิงนั้นมิได้มีมลทิน แต่บริสุทธิ์ นางจะพ้นความผิดและตั้งครรภ์

²⁸If the woman isn’t defiled, but is clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

²⁹นี่เป็นพระราชบัญญัติเรื่องความหึงหวงเมื่อภรรยาแม้จะอยู่ในอำนาจของสามีได้หลงไปกระทำตนให้มีมลทิน

²⁹“‘This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goes astray, and is defiled;

³⁰หรือเมื่อจิตหึงหวงสิงผู้ชาย และเขาหึงหวงภรรยาของเขา แล้วเขาต้องให้นางไปเข้าเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์ และปุโรหิตจะปฏิบัติต่อนางตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ทุกประการ

³⁰or when the spirit of jealousy comes on a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall set the woman before Yahweh, and the priest shall execute on her all this law.

³¹ผู้ชายจึงจะพ้นความชั่วช้า แต่ผู้หญิงจะต้องรับโทษความชั่วช้าของนาง"

³¹The man shall be free from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity.’”
