¹ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ผู้ซึ่งข้าพระองค์สรรเสริญ ขออย่าทรงนิ่งเสีย

²เพราะปากของคนชั่วและปากของคนหลอกลวงอ้าใส่ข้าพระองค์อยู่แล้ว พวกเขาได้พูดปรักปรำข้าพระองค์ด้วยลิ้นมุสา

²for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

³เขาทั้งหลายล้อมข้าพระองค์ไว้ด้วยถ้อยคำเกลียดชัง และโจมตีข้าพระองค์อย่างไร้เหตุ

³They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.

⁴เขาเป็นพวกปฏิปักษ์ต่อข้าพระองค์แทนความรักของข้าพระองค์ ส่วนข้าพระองค์ได้อธิษฐานเท่านั้น

⁴In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.

⁵เขาตอบแทนข้าพระองค์ด้วยความชั่วแทนความดี และความเกลียดชังแทนความรักของข้าพระองค์

⁵They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

⁶ขอทรงตั้งคนชั่วให้อยู่เหนือเขาและให้ซาตานยืนอยู่ที่มือขวาของเขา

⁶Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.

⁷เมื่อพิจารณาคดี ก็ให้เขาปรากฏว่าเป็นผู้กระทำผิด และให้คำอธิษฐานของเขากลายเป็นความบาป

⁷When he is judged, let him come forth guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.

⁸ขอให้วันเวลาของเขาน้อย ขอให้อีกผู้หนึ่งมายึดตำแหน่งของเขา

⁸Let his days be few. Let another take his office.

⁹ขอให้ลูกของเขากำพร้าพ่อ และภรรยาของเขาเป็นม่าย

⁹Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

¹⁰ขอให้ลูกของเขาต้องเร่ร่อนขอทานเรื่อยไป ขอให้เขาหาอาหารจากที่รกร้างว่างเปล่าของเขา

¹⁰Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.

¹¹ขอให้เจ้าหนี้มายึดของทั้งสิ้นที่เขามีอยู่ ขอคนต่างถิ่นมาปล้นผลงานของเขาไป

¹¹Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

¹²ขออย่าให้ผู้ใดเอ็นดูเขา อย่าให้ผู้ใดสงสารลูกกำพร้าพ่อของเขา

¹²Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.

¹³ขอให้ทายาทของเขาถูกตัดออก และในคนชั่วอายูต่อมาก็ขอให้ชื่อของเขาถูกขีดฆ่าออกเสีย

¹³Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

¹⁴ขอให้ความชั่วช้าของบรรพบุรุษของเขายังเป็นที่จำได้อยู่ต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ อย่าให้บาปของมารดาเขาลบเลือนไป

¹⁴Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.

¹⁵ขอให้บาปเหล่านั้นอยู่ต่อเบื้องพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์เสมอไป เพื่อพระองค์จะทรงตัดการระลึกถึงเขาเหล่านั้นเสียจากแผ่นดินโลก

¹⁵Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;

¹⁶เพราะเขาไม่จดจำที่จะแสดงความเอ็นดู แต่ข่มเหงคนจนและคนขัดสน เพื่อจะฆ่าคนที่เศร้าใจเสีย

¹⁶because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.

¹⁷เขารักที่จะแช่ง ขอให้คำแช่งตกบนเขา เขาไม่ชอบการให้พร ขอพรจงห่างไกลจากเขา

¹⁷Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.

¹⁸เขาเอาการแช่งห่มต่างเสื้อผ้าของเขา ขอให้ซึมเข้าไปในกายของเขาอย่างน้ำ ขอให้ซึมเข้าไปในกระดูกของเขาอย่างน้ำมัน

¹⁸He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.

¹⁹ให้เหมือนเครื่องแต่งกายที่คลุมเขาอยู่ เหมือนเข็มขัดที่คาดเขาไว้เสมอ

¹⁹Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

²⁰ทั้งนี้ขอให้เป็นบำเหน็จจากพระเยโฮวาห์แก่พวกปฏิปักษ์ของข้าพระองค์ แก่ผู้ที่กล่าวร้ายต่อชีวิตของข้าพระองค์

²⁰This is the reward of my adversaries from Yahweh, of those who speak evil against my soul.

²¹ข้าแต่พระเจ้าคือองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงกระทำเพื่อข้าพระองค์โดยเห็นแก่พระนามของพระองค์ เพราะว่าความเมตตาของพระองค์นั้นประเสริฐ ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ให้พ้น

²¹But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord, The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

²²เพราะข้าพระองค์ยากจนและขัดสน และจิตใจของข้าพระองค์ก็บาดเจ็บอยู่ภายใน

²²for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.

²³ข้าพระองค์สิ้นสุดไปแล้วอย่างเงาตอนเย็น ข้าพระองค์ถูกสลัดออกเหมือนตั๊กแตน

²³I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.

²⁴เข่าของข้าพระองค์ก็อ่อนเปลี้ยเพราะการอดอาหาร ร่างกายของข้าพระองค์ก็ซูบผอมไป

²⁴My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.

²⁵ข้าพระองค์กลายเป็นที่ตำหนิติเตียนของเขา เมื่อเขามองดูข้าพระองค์ เขาก็สั่นศีรษะ

²⁵I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.

²⁶ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ให้รอดตามความเมตตาของพระองค์

²⁶Help me, Yahweh, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;

²⁷เพื่อเขาจะทราบว่านี่เป็นฝีพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำการนี้

²⁷that they may know that this is your hand; that you, Yahweh, have done it.

²⁸ให้เขาแช่งไป แต่ขอพระองค์ทรงอำนวยพระพร เมื่อเขาลุกขึ้น ขอให้เขาได้อาย แต่ขอให้ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ยินดี

²⁸They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.

²⁹ขอให้พวกปฏิปักษ์ของข้าพระองค์ห่มความอัปยศ ขอให้ความอับอายสวมกายเขาอย่างเสื้อคลุม

²⁹Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

³⁰ด้วยปากของข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าจะสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นอย่างมาก ข้าพเจ้าจะสรรเสริญพระองค์ท่ามกลางคนมากหลาย

³⁰I will give great thanks to Yahweh with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.

³¹เพราะพระองค์จะทรงประทับขวามือของคนขัดสน เพื่อทรงช่วยเขาให้พ้นจากคนที่ปรับโทษจิตใจเขานั้น

³¹For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
