1ฟ้าสวรรค์ประกาศสง่าราศีของพระเจ้า และภาคพื้นฟ้าสำแดงพระหัตถกิจของพระองค์
1The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
2วันส่งถ้อยคำให้แก่วัน และคืนแจ้งความรู้ให้แก่คืน
2Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
3วาจาไม่มี ถ้อยคำก็ไม่มีและไม่มีใครได้ยินเสียงฟ้า
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4ถึงกระนั้นเสียงฟ้าก็ออกไปทั่วแผ่นดินโลก และถ้อยคำก็แพร่ไปถึงสุดปลายพิภพ พระองค์ทรงตั้งพลับพลาไว้ให้ดวงอาทิตย์ ณ ที่นั้น
4Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5ซึ่งออกมาอย่างเจ้าบ่าวออกมาจากห้องโถงของเขา และวิ่งไปตามวิถีด้วยความชื่นบานอย่างชายฉกรรจ์
5which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
6ดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นมาจากสุดปลายฟ้าสวรรค์ข้างหนึ่ง และโคจรไปถึงที่สุดปลายอีกข้างหนึ่ง ไม่มีสิ่งใดสามารถซ่อนให้พ้นจากความร้อนของมันได้
6His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.
7พระราชบัญญัติของพระเยโฮวาห์รอบคอบและฟื้นฟูจิตวิญญาณ พระโอวาทของพระเยโฮวาห์นั้นแน่นอนกระทำให้คนรู้น้อยมีปัญญา
7Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.
8กฎเกณฑ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์นั้นถูกต้องกระทำให้จิตใจเปรมปรีดิ์ พระบัญญัติของพระเยโฮวาห์นั้นบริสุทธิ์กระทำให้ดวงตากระจ่างแจ้ง
8Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9ความยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์นั้นสะอาดหมดจดถาวรเป็นนิตย์ คำตัดสินของพระเยโฮวาห์ก็เที่ยงตรงและชอบธรรมทั้งสิ้น
9The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
10น่าปรารถนามากกว่าทองคำ เออ ยิ่งกว่าทองคำเนื้อดีมากนัก หวานยิ่งกว่าน้ำผึ้งและรวงผึ้ง
10More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
11อนึ่ง สิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นที่ตักเตือนผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ การที่จะรักษาข้อความเหล่านั้นก็ได้บำเหน็จอันใหญ่ยิ่ง
11Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.
12แต่ผู้ใดเล่าจะเข้าใจเรื่องความผิดพลาดของตนได้ ขอพระองค์ทรงชำระข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นจากความผิดที่ซ่อนเร้นอยู่
12Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
13ขอทรงยับยั้งผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ให้พ้นจากบาปโดยประมาทนั้นด้วยเถิด ขออย่าให้มันมีอำนาจเหนือข้าพระองค์เลย แล้วข้าพระองค์จะไร้ตำหนิและพ้นจากความผิดจากการละเมิดที่ยิ่งใหญ่นั้น
13Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
14ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ กำลังของข้าพระองค์และพระผู้ไถ่ของข้าพระองค์ ขอให้ถ้อยคำจากปากของข้าพระองค์ และการรำพึงในจิตใจเป็นที่พอพระทัยในสายพระเนตรของพระองค์เถิด
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
