¹เหตุใดชนต่างชาติจึงกระทำโกลาหลขึ้น และชนชาติทั้งหลายคิดอ่านในการที่ไร้ประโยชน์

¹Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

²บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งแผ่นดินโลกตั้งตนเองขึ้น และนักปกครองปรึกษากันต่อสู้พระเยโฮวาห์และผู้รับการเจิมของพระองค์ กล่าวว่า

²The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, The word “Anointed” is the same as the word for “Messiah” or “Christ” saying,

³"ให้เราระเบิดสายแอกของเขาให้ขาดสะบั้น และขจัดบังเหียนของเขาให้พ้นจากเรา"

³“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”

⁴พระองค์ผู้ประทับในสวรรค์จะทรงพระสรวล องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงเย้ยหยันเขาเหล่านั้น

⁴He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” will have them in derision.

⁵แล้วพระองค์จะตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายด้วยพระพิโรธ และกระทำให้เขาสยดสยองด้วยความกริ้วของพระองค์ ตรัสว่า

⁵Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:

⁶"เราได้ตั้งกษัตริย์ของเราไว้แล้วบนศิโยน ภูเขาอันบริสุทธิ์ของเรา"

⁷ข้าพเจ้าจะประกาศพระดำรัสของพระองค์ พระเยโฮวาห์รับสั่งกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "เจ้าเป็นบุตรของเรา วันนี้เราได้ให้กำเนิดแก่เจ้าแล้ว

⁷I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.

⁸จงขอจากเราเถิด และเราจะมอบบรรดาประชาชาติให้เป็นมรดกของเจ้า ตลอดทั้งแผ่นดินโลกให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเจ้า

⁸Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

⁹เจ้าจะตีเขาให้แตกด้วยคทาเหล็ก และฟาดให้แหลกเป็นชิ้นๆดุจภาชนะของช่างหม้อ"

⁹You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

¹⁰เพราะฉะนั้น ข้าแต่กษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย จงฉลาดเถิด ข้าแต่นักปกครองแห่งแผ่นดินโลก จงรับคำเตือนเถิด

¹⁰Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

¹¹จงปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์ด้วยความยำเกรง และจงเกษมเปรมปรีดิ์ด้วยตัวสั่น

¹¹Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

¹²จงจุบพระบุตรเถิดเกลือกกว่าพระองค์จะทรงพระพิโรธ และเจ้าต้องพินาศจากทางนั้น เพราะพระพิโรธของพระองค์นั้นจุดให้ลุกได้รวดเร็ว ความสุขเป็นของคนทั้งหลายผู้วางใจในพระองค์

¹²Give sincere homage to the Son or, Kiss the son , lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.
