¹ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงผจญผู้ที่ผจญข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงสู้รบผู้ที่รบกับข้าพระองค์

¹Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

²ขอทรงถือโล่และดั้ง และทรงลุกขึ้นช่วยข้าพระองค์

²Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

³ขอทรงเตรียมหอกและขวานศึกสู้ผู้ข่มเหงข้าพระองค์ ขอตรัสกับจิตใจของข้าพระองค์ว่า "เราเป็นผู้ช่วยให้รอดของเจ้า"

³Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”

⁴ผู้ที่แสวงชีวิตของข้าพระองค์นั้น ขอให้เขาได้อายและอัปยศ ผู้ที่ประดิษฐ์ความชั่วต่อสู้ข้าพระองค์นั้น ขอทรงให้เขากลับไปและอดสู

⁴Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

⁵ขอให้เขาเป็นเหมือนแกลบต่อหน้าลม และขอให้ทูตสวรรค์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ขับไล่ตามเขาไป

⁵Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on.

⁶ขอให้ทางของเขามืดและลื่น และขอให้ทูตสวรรค์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ข่มเหงพวกเขา

⁶Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them.

⁷เพราะเขาเอาข่ายซ่อนดักข้าพระองค์ไว้อย่างไม่มีเหตุ เขาขุดหลุมพรางเอาชีวิตข้าพระองค์อย่างไม่มีเรื่อง

⁷For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.

⁸ขอให้ความพินาศมาถึงเขาอย่างไม่รู้ตัว และขอให้ข่ายที่เขาซ่อนไว้นั้นติดเขาเองและให้เขาติดข่ายพินาศเอง

⁸Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.

⁹แล้วจิตวิญญาณของข้าพระองค์จะเปรมปรีดิ์ในพระเยโฮวาห์ ลิงโลดอยู่ในการช่วยให้รอดของพระองค์

⁹My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation.

¹⁰กระดูกทั้งสิ้นของข้าพระองค์จะกล่าวว่า "ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ มีผู้ใดเหมือนพระองค์ พระองค์ผู้ทรงช่วยคนยากจนให้พ้นจากผู้ที่เข้มแข็งเกินกำลังของเขา คนยากจนและคนขัดสนจากผู้ที่ปล้นเขา"

¹⁰All my bones shall say, “Yahweh, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”

¹¹มีพยานเท็จลุกขึ้น เขาฟ้องสิ่งที่ข้าพระองค์ไม่ทราบ

¹¹Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.

¹²เขาสนองข้าพระองค์โดยทำชั่วตอบความดี จิตใจของข้าพระองค์ก็ตรมตรอม

¹²They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.

¹³ส่วนข้าพระองค์ เมื่อเขาป่วยข้าพระองค์สวมผ้ากระสอบ ข้าพระองค์ข่มใจตนเองด้วยการอดอาหาร ข้าพระองค์ซบหน้าลงที่อกอธิษฐาน

¹³But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.

¹⁴ข้าพระองค์ประพฤติอย่างที่เขาเป็นเพื่อนหรือพี่น้องของข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์คอตกและร้องไห้คร่ำครวญเหมือนคนไว้ทุกข์ให้มารดา

¹⁴I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

¹⁵แต่พอข้าพระองค์สะดุด เขาก็ชุมนุมกันอย่างชอบใจ นักเลงหัวไม้รวบรวมกันมาสู้กับข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ยังไม่รู้ แต่พวกเขาได้ด่าว่าข้าพระองค์อย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง

¹⁵But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.

¹⁶เขาเยาะเย้ยอย่างคนหน้าซื่อใจคดในการเลี้ยงต่างๆ ขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟันใส่ข้าพระองค์

¹⁶Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.

¹⁷ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระองค์จะนิ่งทอดพระเนตรอีกนานเท่าใด ขอทรงช่วยจิตวิญญาณข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นจากการร้ายกาจของเขา ช่วยชีวิตข้าพระองค์จากหมู่สิงโต

¹⁷Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

¹⁸แล้วข้าพระองค์จะโมทนาพระคุณพระองค์ในที่ชุมนุมใหญ่ ข้าพระองค์จะสรรเสริญพระองค์ท่ามกลางคนเป็นอันมาก

¹⁸I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.

¹⁹ขออย่าให้คู่อริอย่างไร้เหตุผลนั้นมีความเปรมปรีดิ์เหนือข้าพระองค์ และอย่าให้บรรดาผู้ที่เกลียดชังข้าพระองค์อย่างไม่มีเหตุได้หลิ่วตาให้กัน

¹⁹Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

²⁰เพราะเขาไม่พูดอย่างสันติ แต่เขาคิดถ้อยคำหลอกลวงต่อบรรดาผู้ที่สงบเงียบในแผ่นดิน

²⁰For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

²¹เขาอ้าปากกว้างใส่ข้าพระองค์ เขากล่าวว่า "อ้าฮา อ้าฮา เราเห็นกับตาแล้ว"

²¹Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

²²ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรแล้ว ขออย่าทรงนิ่งเสีย ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขออย่าทรงสถิตไกลจากข้าพระองค์

²²You have seen it, Yahweh. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.

²³ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงร้อนพระทัย ตื่นขึ้นเพื่อเห็นแก่สิทธิของข้าพระองค์ เพื่อเห็นแก่เรื่องของข้าพระองค์เถิด

²³Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!

²⁴ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงให้ความยุติธรรมแก่ข้าพระองค์ตามความชอบธรรมของพระองค์ และขออย่าให้เขาเปรมปรีดิ์เหนือข้าพระองค์

²⁴Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.

²⁵อย่าให้เขาทั้งหลายรำพึงในใจว่า "เอ้อเฮอ เราได้ตามใจปรารถนาของเรา" อย่าให้เขากล่าวได้ว่า "เราได้กลืนเขาเสียแล้ว"

²⁵Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”

²⁶ขอให้เขาได้อายและได้ความยุ่งยากด้วยกัน คือเขาผู้เปรมปรีดิ์เพราะความลำเค็ญของข้าพระองค์ ให้เขาได้ห่มความอายและความอัปยศ คือผู้ที่เขาอวดตัวสู้ข้าพระองค์

²⁶Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

²⁷ขอให้บรรดาผู้ที่เห็นชอบในเหตุอันชอบธรรมของข้าพระองค์โห่ร้องและยินดี และกล่าวอยู่เสมอว่า "ขอให้พระเยโฮวาห์นั้นใหญ่ยิ่ง พระองค์ผู้ทรงปีติยินดีในความเจริญของผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์"

²⁷Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, “Yahweh be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”

²⁸แล้วลิ้นของข้าพระองค์จะบอกเล่าถึงความชอบธรรมของพระองค์ และจะสรรเสริญพระองค์วันยังค่ำ
