1ผู้ใดเอาใจใส่คนจนก็เป็นสุข พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงช่วยเขาให้พ้นในวันยากลำบาก
1Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.
2พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงป้องกันเขาและรักษาเขาให้มีชีวิต ในแผ่นดินเขาจะได้รับพระพร พระองค์จะไม่ทรงมอบเขาไว้กับศัตรูของเขาให้ทำตามใจชอบ
2Yahweh will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.
3เมื่อเขาอยู่บนที่นอนด้วยความอิดโรยพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงทำให้เขาแข็งแรงขึ้น เมื่อเขาอยู่บนที่นอนแห่งความเจ็บไข้พระองค์จะทรงรักษาเขาให้หายหมด
3Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
4ข้าพระองค์ทูลว่า "ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงพระกรุณาแก่ข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงรักษาจิตวิญญาณข้าพระองค์ เพราะข้าพระองค์ได้ทำบาปต่อพระองค์"
4I said, “Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5ศัตรูของข้าพเจ้ากล่าวใส่ร้ายข้าพเจ้าว่า "เมื่อไรเขาจะตายนะ และชื่อของเขาจะได้พินาศ"
5My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
6ถ้าคนหนึ่งคนใดมาเห็นข้าพระองค์ เขาจะพูดเรื่องไร้สาระ ขณะที่ใจของเขาเก็บเรื่องความชั่วช้า เมื่อเขาออกไปเขาก็ป่าวร้องไป
6If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.
7ทุกคนที่เกลียดข้าพระองค์ เขาซุบซิบกันถึงเรื่องข้าพระองค์ เขาปองร้ายต่อข้าพระองค์
7All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.
8เขาทั้งหลายกล่าวว่า "โรคร้ายเข้าไปอยู่ในตัวเขาแล้ว เขาจะไม่ลุกไปจากที่ที่เขานอนนั้นอีก"
8“An evil disease,” they say, “has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”
9แม้ว่าเพื่อนในอกของข้าพระองค์ ผู้ซึ่งข้าพระองค์ไว้วางใจ ผู้ที่รับประทานอาหารของข้าพระองค์ได้ยกส้นเท้าต่อข้าพระองค์
9Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.
10ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอแต่พระองค์ทรงพระกรุณาต่อข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงยกข้าพระองค์ขึ้น เพื่อข้าพระองค์จะสนองเขา
10But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11โดยข้อนี้ ข้าพระองค์ทราบว่า พระองค์ทรงพอพระทัยในข้าพระองค์ คือศัตรูของข้าพระองค์ไม่ได้ชนะข้าพระองค์
11By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy doesn’t triumph over me.
12แต่พระองค์ทรงค้ำชูข้าพระองค์ไว้เพราะความสัตย์สุจริตของข้าพระองค์ และทรงตั้งข้าพระองค์ไว้ต่อเบื้องพระพักตร์พระองค์เป็นนิตย์
12As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.
13สาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลเป็นนิตย์ในอดีต และสืบไปเป็นนิตย์ เอเมนและเอเมน
13Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and amen. BOOK II
