1ประชาชนของข้าพเจ้าเอ๋ย จงเงี่ยหูฟังกฎของข้าพเจ้า เอียงหูของท่านทั้งหลายฟังถ้อยคำจากปากข้าพเจ้า
1Hear my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.
2ข้าพเจ้าจะอ้าปากกล่าวคำอุปมา ข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวคำลึกลับของโบราณกาล
2I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old,
3ถึงสิ่งที่เราทั้งหลายได้ยินได้ทราบ ที่บรรพบุรุษของเราได้บอกเรา
3Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4เราจะไม่ซ่อนไว้จากลูกหลานของเขา แต่จะบอกแก่ชั่วอายุที่กำลังเกิดมา ถึงการสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ และฤทธานุภาพของพระองค์ และการมหัศจรรย์ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำ
4We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of Yahweh, his strength, and his wondrous works that he has done.
5เพราะพระองค์ทรงสถาปนาพระโอวาทไว้ในยาโคบ และทรงแต่งตั้งพระราชบัญญัติไว้ในอิสราเอล ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงบัญชาแก่บรรพบุรุษของเรา ว่าให้แจ้งเรื่องราวเหล่านั้นแก่ลูกหลานของเขา
5For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a teaching in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children;
6เพื่อชั่วอายุรุ่นต่อไปจะทราบเรื่องคือลูกหลานที่จะเกิดมา และที่จะลุกขึ้นบอกลูกหลานของเขา
6that the generation to come might know, even the children who should be born; who should arise and tell their children,
7เพื่อเขาจะตั้งความหวังของเขาไว้ในพระเจ้า และไม่ลืมพระราชกิจของพระเจ้า แต่รักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์
7that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments,
8และเพื่อเขาจะมิได้เหมือนบรรพบุรุษของเขา คือชั่วอายุที่ดื้อดึงและมักกบฏ ชั่วอายุที่จิตใจไม่มั่นคง ผู้ซึ่งจิตวิญญาณของเขาไม่มั่นคงต่อพระเจ้า
8and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that didn’t make their hearts loyal, whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
9บรรดาคนเอฟราอิม มีอาวุธพร้อมและถือคันธนู ได้หันกลับในวันสงคราม
9The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.
10เขาทั้งหลายมิได้รักษาพันธสัญญาของพระเจ้า และปฏิเสธที่จะเดินตามพระราชบัญญัติของพระองค์
10They didn’t keep God’s covenant, and refused to walk in his law.
11เขาลืมสิ่งที่พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำและการมหัศจรรย์ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงสำแดงแก่เขา
11They forgot his doings, his wondrous works that he had shown them.
12พระองค์ทรงกระทำการมหัศจรรย์ท่ามกลางสายตาของบรรพบุรุษของเขา ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ในไร่นาโศอัน
12He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.
13พระองค์ทรงแยกทะเล และให้เขาเดินผ่านไป และกระทำให้น้ำตั้งอยู่เหมือนกองสูง
13He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.
14ในกลางวันพระองค์ทรงนำเขาด้วยเมฆ และด้วยแสงไฟคืนยังรุ่ง
14In the daytime he also led them with a cloud, and all night with a light of fire.
15พระองค์ทรงผ่าหินในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ประทานน้ำเป็นอันมากให้เขาดื่มเหมือนมาจากที่ลึก
15He split rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink abundantly as out of the depths.
16พระองค์ทรงกระทำให้ลำธารออกมาจากหิน ทรงกระทำให้น้ำไหลลงมาเหมือนแม่น้ำ
16He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
17แต่เขายังกระทำบาปยิ่งขึ้นต่อพระองค์ได้กบฏต่อองค์ผู้สูงสุดในที่แห้งแล้ง
17Yet they still went on to sin against him, to rebel against the Most High in the desert.
18เขาทดลองพระเจ้าอยู่ในใจของเขาโดยเรียกร้องอาหารที่เขาอยาก
18They tempted God in their heart by asking food according to their desire.
19เขาพูดปรักปรำพระเจ้าว่า "พระเจ้าจะทรงเตรียมสำรับในถิ่นทุรกันดารได้หรือ"
19Yes, they spoke against God. They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
20ดูเถิด พระองค์ทรงตีหินให้น้ำพุออกมา และลำธารก็ไหลล้น พระองค์จะประทานขนมปังด้วยได้หรือ หรือทรงจัดเนื้อให้ประชาชนของพระองค์ได้หรือ
20Behold, he struck the rock, so that waters gushed out, and streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide flesh for his people?”
21เพราะฉะนั้น เมื่อพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสดับแล้ว พระองค์ทรงพระพิโรธ มีไฟลุกโพลงขึ้นสู้ยาโคบ พระพิโรธของพระองค์สูงขึ้นสู้อิสราเอล
21Therefore Yahweh heard, and was angry. A fire was kindled against Jacob, anger also went up against Israel,
22เพราะเขาไม่เชื่อพระเจ้า และไม่ไว้วางใจในความรอดของพระองค์
22because they didn’t believe in God, and didn’t trust in his salvation.
23พระองค์ยังทรงบัญชาเมฆเบื้องบน และทรงเปิดประตูฟ้าสวรรค์
23Yet he commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven.
24พระองค์ทรงหลั่งมานาให้เขารับประทาน และทรงประทานอาหารทิพย์ให้เขา
24He rained down manna on them to eat, and gave them food from the sky.
25มนุษย์ได้กินอาหารของทูตสวรรค์ พระองค์ทรงประทานอาหารให้เขาอย่างอุดม
25Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full.
26พระองค์ทรงกระทำให้ลมตะวันออกพัดในฟ้าสวรรค์ และทรงนำลมใต้ออกมาด้วยฤทธิ์ของพระองค์
26He caused the east wind to blow in the sky. By his power he guided the south wind.
27พระองค์ทรงหลั่งเนื้อให้เขาอย่างผลคลี คือนก ดังเม็ดทรายในทะเล
27He rained also flesh on them as the dust; winged birds as the sand of the seas.
28พระองค์ทรงให้มันตกลงมากลางค่ายของเขา และรอบที่อาศัยของเขา
28He let them fall in the midst of their camp, around their habitations.
29เขาได้รับประทานอิ่มดี เพราะพระองค์ประทานสิ่งที่เขาอยาก
29So they ate, and were well filled. He gave them their own desire.
30แต่ก่อนที่เขาจะหายอยาก ขณะที่อาหารยังอยู่ในปากของเขา
30They didn’t turn from their cravings. Their food was yet in their mouths,
31พระพิโรธของพระเจ้าพลุ่งขึ้นต่อเขา และพระองค์ทรงสังหารคนฉกรรจ์ที่สุดของเขาเสีย และทรงคว่ำคนที่คัดเลือกแล้วในอิสราเอลเสีย
31when the anger of God went up against them, killed some of their fattest, and struck down the young men of Israel.
32ถึงมีเรื่องทั้งสิ้นนี้ เขาก็ยังกระทำบาป เขามิได้เชื่อถือการมหัศจรรย์ของพระองค์
32For all this they still sinned, and didn’t believe in his wondrous works.
33พระองค์จึงทรงกระทำให้วันของเขาหายไปดังสิ่งไร้สาระ และทรงให้ปีของเขาหายไปด้วยความยากลำบาก
33Therefore he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror.
34เมื่อพระองค์ทรงสังหารเขา เขาแสวงหาพระองค์ เขาได้กลับมาแสวงพระเจ้าด้วยใจร้อนรน
34When he killed them, then they inquired after him. They returned and sought God earnestly.
35เขาระลึกว่าพระเจ้าทรงเป็นศิลาของเขา และพระเจ้าองค์สูงสุดเป็นพระผู้ไถ่ของเขา
35They remembered that God was their rock, the Most High God, their redeemer.
36แต่เขายอพระองค์ด้วยปากของเขา และมุสาต่อพระองค์ด้วยลิ้นของเขา
36But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.
37เพราะจิตใจของเขาไม่แน่วแน่ต่อพระองค์ เขาไม่จริงจังต่อพันธสัญญาของพระองค์
37For their heart was not right with him, neither were they faithful in his covenant.
38ถึงกระนั้นด้วยความสังเวชพระองค์ทรงอภัยความชั่วช้าของเขา และมิได้ทรงทำลายเขา พระองค์ทรงยับยั้งพระพิโรธของพระองค์บ่อยๆ และมิได้ทรงกวนพระพิโรธของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้นให้ขึ้นมา
38But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn’t destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn’t stir up all his wrath.
39พระองค์ทรงระลึกว่าเขาเป็นเพียงแต่เนื้อหนัง เป็นลมที่ผ่านไปแล้วมิได้กลับมาอีก
39He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and doesn’t come again.
40เขายั่วพระองค์ในถิ่นทุรกันดารบ่อยสักเท่าใด และทำให้พระองค์โทมนัสในทะเลทราย
40How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness, and grieved him in the desert!
41แต่เขายังได้กลับทดลองพระเจ้าอีกและได้ทำให้องค์บริสุทธิ์ของอิสราเอลเศร้าพระทัย
41They turned again and tempted God, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.
42เขามิได้ระลึกถึงพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ หรือวันที่พระองค์ทรงช่วยเขาให้พ้นจากคู่อริของเขา
42They didn’t remember his hand, nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;
43เมื่อพระองค์ทรงกระทำหมายสำคัญของพระองค์ในอียิปต์ และการมหัศจรรย์ของพระองค์ในไร่นาโศอัน
43how he set his signs in Egypt, his wonders in the field of Zoan,
44พระองค์ทรงเปลี่ยนแม่น้ำและลำธารของเขาให้เป็นเลือด เพื่อเขาดื่มอะไรไม่ได้
44he turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink.
45พระองค์ทรงส่งฝูงเหลือบมาท่ามกลางเขา ซึ่งผลาญเขา และกบ ซึ่งทำลายเขา
45He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.
46พระองค์ประทานพืชผลของเขาแก่ตั๊กแตนวัยคลาน และผลงานออกแรงของเขาแก่ตั๊กแตนวัยบิน
46He gave also their increase to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.
47พระองค์ทรงทำลายเถาองุ่นของเขาด้วยลูกเห็บ และต้นมะเดื่อของเขาด้วยน้ำค้างแข็ง
47He destroyed their vines with hail, their sycamore fig trees with frost.
48พระองค์ทรงมอบฝูงวัวของเขาไว้กับลูกเห็บ และฝูงแพะแกะของเขากับฟ้าผ่า
48He gave over their livestock also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.
49พระองค์ทรงปล่อยความกริ้วดุร้ายของพระองค์มาเหนือเขา ทั้งพระพิโรธ ความกริ้วและความทุกข์ลำบาก โดยส่งเหล่าทูตสวรรค์ชั่วร้ายท่ามกลางเขา
49He threw on them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.
50พระองค์ทรงเปิดวิถีให้แก่ความกริ้วของพระองค์ พระองค์มิได้ทรงเว้นจิตวิญญาณเขาไว้จากความตาย แต่ประทานชีวิตของเขาแก่โรคระบาด
50He made a path for his anger. He didn’t spare their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence,
51พระองค์ทรงประหารลูกหัวปีทั้งสิ้นในอียิปต์ คือผลแรกแห่งกำลังของเขาในเต็นท์ของฮาม
51and struck all the firstborn in Egypt, the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham.
52แล้วพระองค์ทรงนำประชาชนของพระองค์ออกมาเหมือนนำแกะ และนำเขาไปในถิ่นทุรกันดารเหมือนฝูงแพะแกะ
52But he led forth his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53พระองค์นำเขาไปอย่างปลอดภัย เขาจึงไม่กลัว แต่ทะเลท่วมศัตรูของเขา
53He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54และพระองค์ทรงพาเขามายังเขตแดนแห่งสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ ยังภูเขานี้ ซึ่งพระหัตถ์ขวาของพระองค์ได้ทรงไถ่ไว้
54He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken.
55พระองค์ทรงขับประชาชาติต่างๆออกไปข้างหน้าเขา พระองค์ทรงวัดแบ่งแดนประชาชาตินั้นให้เป็นมรดก และทรงตั้งบรรดาตระกูลอิสราเอลไว้ในเต็นท์ของเขา
55He also drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
56แต่เขาทั้งหลายยังทดลองและยั่วพระเจ้าองค์สูงสุด มิได้รักษาบรรดาพระโอวาทของพระองค์
56Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God, and didn’t keep his testimonies;
57กลับหันไปเสียและประพฤติทรยศอย่างบรรพบุรุษของเขา เขาบิดไปเหมือนคันธนูที่ไว้ใจไม่ได้
57but turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers. They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
58เพราะเขายั่วเย้าพระองค์ให้ทรงกริ้วด้วยเรื่องปูชนียสถานสูงของเขาทั้งหลาย ได้หมุนให้พระองค์หวงแหนเขาด้วยเรื่องรูปเคารพแกะสลักของเขา
58For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their engraved images.
59เมื่อพระเจ้าทรงสดับ พระองค์ทรงพระพิโรธยิ่ง และพระองค์ทรงรังเกียจอิสราเอลยิ่งนัก
59When God heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel;
60พระองค์ทรงละพลับพลาในชีโลห์ คือเต็นท์ที่พระองค์ทรงตั้งไว้ท่ามกลางมนุษย์
60So that he forsook the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;
61และทรงมอบฤทธานุภาพของพระองค์แก่การเป็นเชลย และสง่าราศีของพระองค์แก่มือของคู่อริ
61and delivered his strength into captivity, his glory into the adversary’s hand.
62พระองค์ทรงมอบประชาชนของพระองค์แก่ดาบ และทรงพระพิโรธต่อมรดกของพระองค์
62He also gave his people over to the sword, and was angry with his inheritance.
63ไฟผลาญหนุ่มๆของเขาเสีย และสาวๆของเขาก็ไม่ได้แต่งงาน
63Fire devoured their young men. Their virgins had no wedding song.
64บรรดาปุโรหิตของเขาล้มลงด้วยดาบ และหญิงม่ายของเขาไม่มีการร้องทุกข์
64Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows couldn’t weep.
65แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงตื่นอย่างตื่นบรรทม อย่างชายฉกรรจ์โห่ร้องเพราะฤทธิ์เหล้าองุ่น
65Then the Lord awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.
66และพระองค์ทรงตีปฏิปักษ์ของพระองค์ในข้างหลัง และให้เขาได้อายเป็นนิตย์
66He struck his adversaries backward. He put them to a perpetual reproach.
67พระองค์ทรงปฏิเสธพลับพลาของโยเซฟ พระองค์มิได้ทรงเลือกตระกูลเอฟราอิม
67Moreover he rejected the tent of Joseph, and didn’t choose the tribe of Ephraim,
68แต่พระองค์ทรงเลือกตระกูลยูดาห์ ภูเขาศิโยนซึ่งพระองค์ทรงรัก
68But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which he loved.
69พระองค์ทรงสร้างสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์อย่างกับพระราชวังสูง อย่างแผ่นดินโลกซึ่งพระองค์ตั้งไว้เป็นนิตย์
69He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which he has established forever.
70พระองค์ทรงเลือกดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ ทรงพาท่านมาจากคอกแกะ
70He also chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;
71พระองค์ทรงพาท่านมาจากการดูแลแม่แกะที่มีลูกอ่อนให้เป็นผู้เลี้ยงดูยาโคบประชาชนของพระองค์ และอิสราเอลมรดกของพระองค์อย่างเลี้ยงแกะ
71from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance.
72ท่านจึงเลี้ยงดูเขาทั้งหลายด้วยใจเที่ยงธรรม และนำเขาทั้งหลายไปด้วยมือช่ำชอง
72So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
