1ผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ ณ ที่กำบังขององค์ผู้สูงสุดจะอยู่ในร่มเงาของผู้ทรงมหิทธิฤทธิ์
1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2ข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวถึงพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า "พระองค์ทรงเป็นที่ลี้ภัยของข้าพระองค์และป้อมปราการของข้าพระองค์ พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ผู้ที่ข้าพระองค์จะไว้วางใจ"
2I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
3เพราะพระองค์จะทรงช่วยตัวท่านให้พ้นจากกับของพรานนกและจากโรคภัยอย่างร้ายแรงนั้น
3For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.
4พระองค์จะทรงปกท่านไว้ด้วยปีกของพระองค์ และท่านจะวางใจอยู่ใต้ปีกของพระองค์ ความจริงของพระองค์เป็นโล่และเป็นดั้งของท่าน
4He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
5ท่านจะไม่กลัวความสยดสยองในกลางคืน หรือกลัวลูกธนูที่ปลิวไปในกลางวัน
5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6หรือโรคภัยที่ไล่มาในความมืด หรือความพินาศที่เกิดความหายนะในเที่ยงวัน
6nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7พันคนจะล้มอยู่ที่ข้างๆท่าน หมื่นคนที่มือขวาของท่าน แต่ภัยนั้นจะไม่มาใกล้ท่าน
7A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
8ท่านจะมองดูด้วยตาเท่านั้น และเห็นการตอบแทนแก่คนชั่ว
8You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.
9เพราะท่านได้กระทำให้พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้เป็นที่ลี้ภัยของข้าพเจ้าคือองค์ผู้สูงสุด เป็นที่อยู่ของท่าน
9Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10ไม่มีการร้ายใดๆจะตกมาบนท่าน ไม่มีภัยมาใกล้ที่อาศัยของท่าน
10no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
11เพราะพระองค์จะรับสั่งเหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์ในเรื่องท่าน ให้ระแวดระวังท่านในทางทั้งปวงของท่าน
11For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
12เขาทั้งหลายจะเอามือประคองชูท่านไว้ เกรงว่าเท้าของท่านจะกระแทกหิน
12They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone.
13ท่านจะเหยียบสิงโตและงูเห่า ท่านจะย่ำสิงโตหนุ่มและมังกร
13You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
14เพราะเขาผูกพันกับเราด้วยความรัก เราจึงจะช่วยเขาให้พ้น เราจะตั้งเขาไว้ในที่สูง เพราะเขารู้จักนามของเรา
14“Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15เขาจะร้องทูลเรา และเราจะตอบเขา เราจะอยู่กับเขาในยามลำบาก เราจะช่วยเขาให้พ้นและให้เกียรติเขา
15He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
16เราจะให้เขาอิ่มใจด้วยชีวิตยืนยาว และสำแดงความรอดของเราแก่เขา
16I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”
